We were 5 women in our fifties away for our anual break together. We would like to thank Han for providing his lovely house-boat for our accomodation. The boat was full of charme with a lovely terrace overlooking the harbour and very central, and quite easy to find despite the roadworks. The boat contained everything we needed, and we were very pleased to find fresh flowers in the livingrooms. The beds were comfy and plenty of clean towels too. Nice too with a dishwasher. We also thank Han for the information on supermarkets aso.. We would all like to come back to Amsterdam and stay in the Bamboo-boat again. Thank you for your hospitallity and kind nature. Great place! So close to the beach. They have bikes, a wagon , and other beach things you can use.Washer and dryer worked great!Only cons are having to cross the road after early morning hours cause it gets busy and there is no cross walk. There are 2 bathrooms but are located only up stairs. Other than that the house was great. Also has privacy fence all around it.

Es war ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt.Das Hausboot liegt in einer wirklich schönen Lage direkt am Wasser. Was auch nachts durch die Lichter einen besonderen Flair hatte.Han war ein toller Gastgeber .

The houseboat was conveniently located with great access to all public transport. Han was helpful and very knowledgeable, and we had a great time on the houseboat! The stairs and ladder would be tough for very small children or anyone with mobility issues - my 4 and 6 year olds were delighted and had a wonderful time.

This house boat served us very well. We weren’t sure what to expect but Han was informative and helpful. The location was perfect, on the water, close to the train station and we walked all over Amsterdam. We would return if the occasion arose.

Das Hausboot von HAN liegt superzentral und zu Fuß ist man in 5 Minuten mitten im Leben von Amsterdam! Trotzdem hat mal absolute Ruhe auf dem Boot. Ob mit Zug oder PKW liegt das Boot super erreichbar. Seinen PKW kann man im Parkhaus Osterdock einmieten… meine Mädls und ich waren total begeistert und Amsterdam ist ne Reise wert.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the houseboat and I don't feel like the listing accurately describes the space especially the steps required to navigate to both bedroom spaces. Han was wonderful to meet us and help us get on the boat, but immediately told us that if you are claustrophobic, then one bedroom isn't for you. That was the bedroom we had planned to have our teen use, but she does get very anxious in tight spaces. The other room is only accessible down a steep ladder which I don't think is accurately described in the listing. I only saw 4 steps to the boat mentioned. In addition, the listing does not make clear that Han also lives on the boat attached to your dpace and that the door cannot be locked. Ultimately, we were not able to physically stay on the boat and had to find other accommodations in Amsterdam last minute. With an updated clear listing, this boat may be a great choice, but it was not for our family.

What a delightful little houseboat! Three friends and I stayed here for three nights during our trip to Amsterdam, and it was such a memorable experience. Han, our host, was incredibly kind—he greeted us upon arrival and even helped us carry our large suitcases onto the boat (which was no small feat given the precarious path!).He gave us a quick tour, explained how to use the four bikes available for our use, and had thoughtfully stocked the fridge with some drinks to welcome us. From that moment on, the Bamboo Houseboat was ours to enjoy.The location is fantastic—peaceful and quiet, yet within easy walking or biking distance to Central Dam. The view from the boat looks out over the newer part of Amsterdam, offering a lovely contrast to the city's historic charm.Inside, the houseboat was clean, spacious, and the beds were super comfortable. I’d absolutely stay here again if I return to Amsterdam!

Had been to Amsterdam but not stayed on a boat. This was a wonderful option and it gave us the perspective of being on one of the many homes you could live in floating on a camel. Loved it. Location location location.

Great "Amsterdam" experience! Very close to the main train station with great views of the harbor. Host (Han) was super nice and very flexible with our last minute booking and late arrival. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, Dutch experience! Boat was very comfortable and had ample room for our party of 3. Refrigerator available, but no cooking appliances and you must be able to climb steep steps/ladder, so not a good option for mobility-challenged. Wifi was good.

The houseboat with its location in the center of Amsterdam is truly unique and highly recommended. Everything your heart desires is within easy reach on foot or by bike. Apart from the occasional siren, we sometimes didn't even feel like we were in a city. The houseboat is very clean and well maintained and Han is a super friendly host who is happy to help with advice. We really enjoyed it and therefore I am happy to give it a 10/10 rating. Perfekt für ein Kurzbesuch in Amsterdam. Alles zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ich hatte meine Tochter (5 Jahre) dabei und auch sie hatte einen tollen Urlaub auf dem wunderbaren Boot. Die Nespressomaschiene inkl Caps waren morgens sehr angenehm.

What a fun time, very unique stay in a boat. Lots of room for 3 of us and the deck was so awesome to sit and have a beverage after a day of sightseeing. Han was a great host and was very helpful with our stay and getting us around. Highly recommend.

Han was an exceptional host. Even though we were 12 hours late getting to the houseboat. He was waiting for us and assisted us with our luggage and made sure we were comfortable. The houseboat was awesome. The location was amazing. We were within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The train station and Nemo Science museun were within walking distance also. We had all the conveniences you could ask for on the boat. It was nice to be able to sit on the patio and watch the boats go by. Han wven provided beer, wine, milk and juice for us. And the welcoming flowers were a plus. The only down side is if you have trouble going up and down. We are in our 60s and our grand is 6 and we had no problem. And we are not highly active. But it is something to think about. Overall the experience and location made up for all. And Han was awesome. If we ever come back to Amsterdam we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Han for an amazing 4 days in a houseboat.

From start to finish our stay with Han was fabulous! He was in contact before our arrival and was flexible when we had a train delay. The boat is conveniently located near Central Station and it was a short walk with our luggage to the houseboat. He greeted us upon arrival and gave us a short tour of the boat and also advised locations of grocery stores, and other must have places. He also showed us the bikes that we could use. The four of us (2 adults and 2 kids 11/14) did end up using the bikes to go to the store and they were very convenient. The boat was well kept, quiet and appointed with everything we needed during our stay. The location was great for getting around and our kids even swam in the bay! Thanks for being such a great host, Han!
