  • Escape to the Lake District with your loved ones to this bright and beautifully designed holiday home set in the beautiful and historic village of Chapel Stile set in the heart of the Langdale valley. Spend a glorious day exploring the charming village of Grasmere (3 miles), which was once home to poet William Wordsworth. Visit the Wordsworth Museum to learn about the poet’s life, and sample the famous Grasmere Gingerbread, which was a big treat during the 19th century. Alternatively, head off to the pretty town of Ambleside (5 miles) to browse the independent shops and cafes. Tour the Armitt Museum for insights into the cultural history of the Lake District, or take a stroll to Stock Ghyll Force (5.5 miles), a picturesque 70-foot waterfall. Come home in the evening to relax with a glass of wine as you take in the spectacular fell views from the cottage’s cosy living area. Chapel Stile itself is well renowned with walks from the doorstep, with the Wainwrights pub 0.2 miles away. Enjoy a 0.8 mile walk to Elterwater for a bite to eat in the local pub or a walk from the doorstep over Silverhowe to Grasmere. The famous Cathedral Caves 4.8 miles away are a scenic walk on foot directly from the cottage.

    Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, this is an ideal accommodation choice for small families or groups of friends in search of a stylish retreat to call home while they discover the wild beauty of the Lake District together. Step inside this stylish cottage and you’ll be welcomed by a generous top-floor space which features two sumptuous bedrooms. Head downstairs and you’ll find an elegant open-plan living/kitchen/dining area that comes complete with a wood burner and high-quality decor. Snuggle up on the sofa and make yourself at home in the living area before heading to the sleek, compact kitchen area to rustle up some dinner for your loved ones. Share a sociable meal at the stylish dining table and then head back to the living area to pour yourself a glass of wine and catch up on your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, climb the staircase to the first floor and choose from one of the two thoughtfully decorated, king-size bedrooms – one with an en-suite shower room. Completing the layout, you’ll find a second handy shower room.


    At the rear of the property, you’ll find a gorgeous patio, as well as a fully enclosed garden – the perfect setting for al fresco dining. There is plenty of parking nearby around 100 metres away from the property.
