Sailing Experience on the Amalfi Coast

Our experience will take place aboard a beautiful sailboat (47 ft) off the Amalfi Coast on the legendary Mare Azzurro, where we’ll explore many beautiful beaches and towns, such as Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Atrani, Amalfi, Praiano, Furore, Positano, Capri, Ischia, and Procida. Feel the warm sun on your face and the wind in your hair. You can go for a swim or simply enjoy all the beauty surrounding you on board!

This experience lets you take in one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines while sipping a cool glass of prosecco at sunset. We can take you to many exclusive beach restaurants accessible only by boat, where you can enjoy delicious seafood and local wine

The Hanse 470 is a stylish and comfortable performance cruiser with a very sleek and modern design. Our tested model is a spacious owner’s version with a 3-cabin/2-bathroom layout and a beautiful teak deck.

When you charter this yacht, you’ll immediately notice the difference—this is a true owner’s version sailing yacht, offering much more space below deck compared to similar charter yachts of the same size.
At first glance, the Hanse 470 is stunning. Its straight, clean lines and modern deck, entirely covered in teak—along with the uncluttered cockpit area and open stern—reveal the racing spirit of this modern sailing yacht.

The Hanse 470 features a spacious saloon and even larger cabins—including a spacious owner’s bow cabin with an island-style bed. The stern cabins are also very comfortable, featuring large, wide beds. The bathrooms are quite spacious and modern, and the entire interior is very bright with white walls. The Hanse 470 was a trendsetter in modern interior design for yachts.

The model we tested featured both a freezer and a refrigerator, a Nespresso coffee machine, an ice maker, and a generator—so life at sea without having to visit harbors every day is very relaxed.
I like the modern saloon with a real sofa inside—it still offers plenty of storage under the sofa but looks much more comfortable than the sofas typically found in classic sailing yachts. Our model had a convertible saloon table, so the sofa could be turned into a large bed in less than a minute.

When it comes to sailing performance, the Hanse 470 is simply great. A large sail area (thanks to a taller mast compared to other sailing yachts of similar size), a lightweight epoxy V-shaped hull, and a steel construction make this sailing yacht excellent in both stability and sailing performance.
The Hanse 470 is very easy to sail with a minimal crew, and we sailed her as a crew of two. Instead of a classic genoa, it features a self-tacking jib, which is much easier to handle and allows for hassle-free tacking. Our model was equipped with an electric winch, so hoisting the large full-batten mainsail was a very easy task for us. When it comes to stability, the boat performs very well in rough seas, and it sails very quickly even in lighter winds.

The cockpit space is also great, but the only thing that isn’t very well designed is the table, which is perhaps too small for a crew of six; however, since the boat is truly excellent and offers great comfort for six people, it wasn’t such a big issue.

In my opinion, the Hanse 470 is still one of the best yachts Hanse has produced in recent years—and its design is 10 years ahead of its time.
