Dejlig lejlighed tæt på offentlig strandområde
Vi boede i en dejlig lejlighed som hotellet havde i en ejendom i den anden ende af byen. Den var i god stand med nyt køkken og god plads til os 3 personer. Badeværelse var også pænt og rent. Tæt på gode indkøbsmuligheder og 5 min til et stykke offentlig strand. Udsigten fra vores vinduer var til en meget lille gård hvor der kunne stå et tørrestativ. Men det gjorde ikke så meget da vi jo fik rigelig med sol og udsigt når vi var på tur om dagen. I lejligheden var der dejlig aircondition og god plads til at slappe af i efter en dag med mange oplevelser på Amalfi kysten. Vi spiste morgenmad en dag på selve hotellet og bookede os på en tur til Pompeii og Vesuv, som hotellet havde i deres mappe. Det var en god tur med en meget kompetent guide. Hotellets personale var meget imødekommende og søde at tale med.

Vi havde en fantastisk udsigt over havnen. Personalet var utrolige flinke, hjælpsomme og gode til engelsk. vil meget gerne tilbage både til byen og hotellet

Skønt hotel med havudsigt, tæt på Amalfi by
Lækkert hotel lige ved havnemolen med masser af italiensk liv. 5 minutter til centrum af skønne Amalfi. Fantastisk udsigt over havet. Meget venligt og hjælpsomt personale.

This property was a great find. I loved every moment of our stay. Staff was great and accomdating. It was great being close to the water and walking distance to the town. This coast is breathtaking, regardless of the weather. Only slight complaint I do have is that the room we stayed in had a hard bed.

Everything was perfect. Everyone at the front desk, at the restaurant and in charge of services at the hotel were efficient and kind. Exactly the nice, safe and comfortable place offered. This is a hotel in a very convenient place in Amalfi. Downtown, good restaurants, convenience stores and more are a few steps from the hotel or at a short walking distance. I do advise everyone traveling to Amalfi to stay here. Congratulations to the whole staff

This is one of the best hotels in Amalfi! It is a short walk from the center of town, but when you get sick of all the noise and the amount of people that are in that Square, you come here, and it’s like an oasis! The employees here couldn’t be nicer to their guests. If I were to come back to Amalfi, I will definitely stay here again. I encourage anybody who is coming to Amalfi, to make Hotel Aurora their first choice to stay in.

This property was perfect for a first timer to AC. It's a few minute walk from the ferry, quiet at night, few minutes walk to the main road with all the shopping and restaurants. And right across from the coast walk for the most amazing pictures of the city. Will return there every time I go.

Location was quiet and out of the main way, down by the marina. The hotel assisted in setting up airport transfers which was very convenient because I'm not sure how else you would get to this hotel. Amalfi overall was underwhelming, it felt dirty and not interesting. The most interesting part is leaving the town to go to other towns. The hotel felt like a haunted prison, I have never slept so horribly in my life. Maybe upgrading to a room with a view would help it not feel so claustrophobic, but I would either pick a different town to stay in on the Amalfi coast or definitely pick a different hotel if you want to get any sleep. I expected more for what we paid for, but didn't see many other options that seemed better.

Hotel is located just behind the marina right on the coast. Its just a few minutes walk away from the core of Amalfi, its shops and restaurants. Breakfast was great and so were the staff! The building seems a bit outdated, but certainly wasnt an issue. The hotel also gives you access to a small beach just past the neighbouring beach club. It was fun, you can access a small grotto and it felt safe to swim. Very much enjoyed the stay! My only issue was the parking. At the hotel it was a 40 euro per night fee, which is technically cheaper than the public parking lots, but seemed kind of excessive in my opinion.

Dear Mr Marcthank you for your lovely review. It will help us to do better. We just closed yesterday to make improovements in the building during the winter time. Regarding parking I understand it is too expensive. It is too expensive also for us residents. The thing is there is no enough parking space in Amalfi and so they sell the few places available at an inflated price! This happens also in Ravello and Positano, world famous places in our area. Despite this we hope to see you again for another enjoyable stay. Maybe next time I suggest you to come with no car. We can provide transfer from/to Naples airport or train station (there is one also in Salerno-the nearest foir Amalfi). Local buses and ferries are very frequent to get around the coast. Guided tours also for long distance are available (Pompei, Vesuvius, Herculaneum etc).ArrivederciAndreareception manager

Had a really wonderful stay at hotel Aurora. It is located just a few minutes walk away from the main hotel/restaurant/shopping area. It overlooks the marina and harbor. It is quiet and has wonderful views. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the water. The terrace is relaxing and peaceful and they offer a nice breakfast assortment, you can also have afternoon/evening drinks, or just sit and enjoy it anytime. There is a little private beach with a lifeguard as well. Perfect way to spend a day, it’s away from the crowds. Sunrise from the harbor pier is amazing. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here!

Leider hatte das Hotel außer einem immer gleichen, recht bescheidenen Frühstück nichts zu bieten - weder Pool noch Spa noch Restaurant. Für den sehr kleinen Hotelstrandabschnitt eine Gebühr zu erheben - und zwar saftige 35 Euro pro Paar pro Tag - ist vor diesem Hintergrund umso erstaunlicher, gelinde ausgedrückt. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Reinigungspersonal im Besonderen, das stets für sehr saubere Zimmer sorgte. Diese waren sehr geräumig und schlossen ein modernes Bad mit wunderbarer Dusche mit ein. Was störte, war die Hellhörigkeit. Die Lage war recht gut, die Aussicht von der Frühstücksterrasse direkt aufs Meer herrlich. Da sich das Hotel ganz am Ende der Straße befindet, sind es zwar ein paar Schritte bis zum Zentrum, die Ortsmitte ist jedoch derart von Touristenmassen bevölkert, dass wir heilfroh waren, nicht ein dortiges Hotel ausgewählt zu haben. Insgesamt lässt sich generell über Amalfi sagen, dass es leider nicht über einen Bahnhof verfügt und die Busanzahl für die Touristenmassen nicht ausreicht. Daher wurden Ausflüge vergleichsweise teuer, da man immer wieder auf Fähren zurückgreifen musste. Ein Ort wie beispielsweise Sorrent ist besser und kostengünstiger verkehrlich angebunden. Die Amalfiküste selbst ist natürlich ein atemberaubender Anblick.

Easy 5 minute walk to everything. Wonderful hotel!
Hotel Aurora exceeded our expectations! Service was wonderful. Room comfortable and well appointed. Terrace overlooking sea was a nice relaxing spot. Breakfast was delicious. All fresh cooked with a wide variety of all foods, including home made pastries. Location was perfect. Just off busy square but only an easy 5 minute walk from it, no stairs to climb, only short driveway. Everything you need is right there within a short walk. Easy to get to dock to catch a ferry down the coast to visit other coastal towns. The Amalfi coast is amazing and Hotel Aurora only helps with the experience. I highly recommend.

Hotel Aurora is an excellent home base from which to explore the Amalfi Coast - Ravello, Positano, etc. While not as fancy (or expensive) as other options, it is clean and well-maintained with friendly, helpful staff and a nice open-air patio breakfast. It’s at the end of the tourist “scene”, and a pleasant escape. Loved the semi-private patio off of my 3rd floor room.

Nice hotel with harbor views.
The hotel is old and a bit outdated but that's also very specific to Amalfi Coast. Overall expensive, parking is also very expensive, but again that's area specific. The break fast was just ok,the service is also just ok. The personnel lack attention to details. But the terrace where they served the breakfast and the views are amazing.

Our stay at Hotel Aurora was perfect! The staff was so pleasant and friendly. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the beach and to the city center where they are many dining options! The hotel has a private beach itself where beach chairs can be rented for 35 euros/day. They also provide laundry facilities. Salvo, the pastry chef had many dining recommendations for us! All and all, a good stay at Aurora!

The hotel was totally excellent, however I couldn’t stay at the room with ocean view by my misunderstanding.So I tried to change the next day after confirming the room, but someone booked before it. I missed. One of disappointed things was the dispersal cups wasn’t changed to new ones. And after cleaning the room, the door was unlocked. It was a big problem. The terrace was very nice and the staffs were very kind and friendly.

This is advertised as a 4 star hotel but only has the most basic amenities. The breakfast is adequate and the terrace is a nice area to enjoy it. There bar is fine but there are no other obvious amenities available. The laundry service was priced at €10 per kilo. There is an outdoor area adjacent to the reception on the first floor that is neglected. So much use could be made of it with a little imagination. The rooms were ok, nothing to get excited about. The cleanliness was poor in places, corners were missed. The shower was tiny with very little space to move in it. I would class this hotel as a 3 star at best.

Hotel Aurora is a nice throw back to 1950s era design. Staff is helpful. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are very up to date and well-suited for travelers. Only glitch is parking. Very limited and about E40 per night. Also met a rude parking lot attendant. Called us something colorful in Italian because we walked into an area of the parking lot I guess we weren’t supposed to. Amalfi is beautiful in location and architecture. Very walkable but lots of steep stairs if you want to explore everything. Road into Amalfi is like driving a bus on a sidewalk

Dear Mr. John,yes we agree parking is a big problem in Amalfi. There are not many parking spaces and so the prices have gone up consequently. We always suggest, when possible, to avoid coming by car. Public transports and ferries are very reliable. Transfer from and to Naples Airport or Salerno train station are possible to book through us at reasonable price. Best regards. Excellent location to ferry station. Sheets had yellow stains. Rooms are not soundproof. Room did not have any view. It was a short stay, maybe it was a reason that we have received this low scale room.

Regarding the yellow stains on the sheets if you told us when you saw them we would have changed them immediately (unfortunately we use an external laudry service and maybe the cleaning ladies did not see the stains when they prepared the bed). Room did not have any view as per your reservation. We offer different rooms at different prices. So you got the room you booked and paid for. We have some very nice Superior rooms with huge terrace and view on the ocean but the price is completely different compared to what you paid. Very sorry for your bad experience but we could have solved the problem when you were at the hotel. Now I'm afraid we cannot do anything but begging your pardon.

The place is an easy walk from the ferry pier which was nice, and it’s overlooking the water which is also very nice, especially at breakfast if you don’t have a balcony or a good view. We booked a balcony room and it had one however it was off to the side and you could barley see water and instead overlooked trees and a parking lot. The breakfast is a great selection with a gorgeous view. It’s nice and quiet. Warning: The bed is absolutely terrible. It’s 2 twins pushed together so they push apart when you sleep and it is hard as a rock. Also, our shower did not have a door at all and we know this is normal in Europe and usually don’t have an issue with it but the water is right by the opening and it completely soaks the floor with no drain. We just went through a lot of towels! I personally don’t think I’d stay here again considering there’s gotta be better balconies with good views and better beds. Look for reviews of places with decently comfortable beds because I think that’s very important when travelling. We weren’t overly impressed considering the price.

This hotel was amazing. Everything you need in the Amalfi coast is right here. The staff and location is the best part. Giuseppe, Francesca, Julia and Ana were the best! Everyone there is so nice! 5 stars for hotel aurora.
