Cozy and calm, The Barn Owl is one of four nature-inspired tiny cabins nestled together at the edge of the woods in Alvord, Texas — the perfect retreat for two & closest to the bathhouse + PET FRIENDLY!

Just an hour from DFW, this 14×12 tiny cabin offers a welcoming aesthetic with navy accents and a comfortable atmosphere designed for couples to relax and reconnect. Inside, you’ll find a plush king bed, blackout curtains, TV, WiFi, a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and a small workspace. Each cabin also features its own private porch with chairs — a peaceful spot to enjoy the woodland setting.

Bedroom & Bathhouse
1 King Bed in your room. Private bathroom access in the bathhouse located 200 ft away. Each private bathroom has a walk-in shower, vanity, and toilet.
At night, stroll the softly lit sidewalks to and from your cabin, then unwind in your private hammock or at your picnic table. Your private, keyed bathroom is located just steps away in the bathhouse, ensuring comfort and privacy.

During your stay, you might meet Tito, our friendly black cat mascot. He loves greeting guests and keeps the bad critters away!

When you’re ready to explore, you’re just minutes from the LBJ National Grasslands, NRS Ranch, popular dirt bike tracks like Eagles Canyon Raceway, and several wedding venues. You also have full access to the community Pickleball Court — bring your paddles and enjoy! End your day relaxing by the fire pit, enjoying the outdoor seating, or wandering the property’s trails for a quiet hike under the trees.

✨ Need more space? There are three other identical cabins on-site, each sleeping two guests. You can also reserve the entire property, enjoying full privacy and sleeping up to eight guests total — perfect for group getaways or wedding parties.

We welcome events for an added fee! You can rent the entire property, sleeping up to 8 guests across all four cabins, and enjoy full privacy. Our on-site housekeeping crews provide a starter supply of basic essentials. These supplies will not be replenished, but there are local stores that can assist with any needs that come up!

The property is managed by The Bear Cabins in BB, LLC. Your host is available by text, message, or call during your stay! After booking, you will be required to submit a pre-arrival form, show ID, and sign our rental agreement. This property is a contactless self check-in. Code will be sent 3 days before check-in.
