"Wonderful week at a remote waterfront Lake Huron house. Bring everything you will need, as you are 30 minutes north of Oscoda and about 30 minutes south of Alpena. There is a dollar general nearby and a wonderful restaurant 10 min north but true shopping is limited. The house is spacious and located just off a rocky shore beach point with great access for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. Recommend bringing drinking water as well. We stayed with 16 guests, 10 children, and...

"We were thrilled to be on the Thunder Bay river. My family likes to fish off the dock. It is shallow at this point and peacful. We were able to use one kayak. The second kayak was too filled with rain.water and too heavy for us to turn over and drain it. The deck is a lovely place to sit or eat and watch the river, except that the seat cushions were soaked with rain water also. I suggest a deck storage box to store the seat cushions when not in use. this will keep them dry and ready for use....

"We enjoyed our stay. It was well equipped with all the necessities. The house has a lot of comfortable seating for larger families. We loved the front porch, it also has a lot of comfortably seating. The location is great, just a few blocks from the park, marina and Lake Huron. Many stores and restaurants are also in walking distance. We brought our bikes and enjoyed riding ariund town and along the shoreline. We would definitely rent again!"

"If you have a large family group, and are looking for great accommodations on Grand Lake, this is your place. With 6 bedrooms and 3 baths, cottages this size are hard to find. This was our second stay here, having stayed in 2023, as well. Biggest improvement this stay was the blacktopped driveway! Very nice. There is plenty of parking space for 8 cars or more, plus your boat trailer. The grounds are expansive, with plenty of beach and two fire pits. The kayaks and paddle boat got a lot of use....

"Cute, charming, well decorated and carefully thought out home with a huge master suite! We enjoyed trips to the local ice cream and coffee shops, a super cute movie theather in town featuring new releases, a fun little putt-putt course and of course the beautiful beach and splash park that are minutes away. The hosts were super attentive and thoughtful. Leaving snacks and travel supplies for us to enjoy, and responding quickly to any questions we had.Just beyond the town and only 8 minutes away...
