The historical old town centre can be reached on foot after 25 minutes (2 km) and lies next to the port of Alghero. The nearest sandy beach, Spiaggia di Alghero can be reached on foot after only 5 minutes (450 m). The international airport lies a 20-minute drive or 10.5 km from the city centre.
