Quinta da Boa Vida - Master Villa with Wine Cellar & Pool

Located in the Silver Coast, 15 min by car from the famous white sand/surf beach Nazare & ideally located to visit many must see attractions, Quinta Boa Vida is a country style home in beautiful surroundings just approx 3 min away by car from the town center of Alcobaca. After passing the green iron gate walk the traditional granite cobble stone path to enjoy nature, gardens, pool deck, BBQ area and more.

This 85 sqm generous 2 bedroom country style house has all the character of a homely country dwelling, yet with elegant interiors and features. It boasts an open space layout with high wooden vaulted ceilings and unique grey tiles with a scattered pattern through out. It receives Southern sunshine from the front of the property for most of the day and has plenty of windows to brighten your afternoons. Once you've entered through the custom made cathedral wooden door, you'll find the kitchen to your left complete with an island that has a washing machine underneath. The kitchen also has a large "American Fridge", a large 5 range 90cm stove top and oven, deep country sink and a view out the window on rolling vineyards. It's also fully stalked with all amenities to satisfy any chef in your group.

Theres also a beautiful classic style brick wood fireplace, with a mantle made from wood that used to be the old roof brackets that can warm up the winter nights.

In the dining space, you can enjoy good meals and great conversation over a large Mexican style wooden dining table.

The beds have comfortable high quality matrasses for a perfect sleep and you will surely enjoy the modern spacious bathroom with its italian walk-in shower.

******Perhaps the most interesting feature of this unique house is the circular wine cellar built into the living room floor. It's fully automatic and opens with a switch that you'll find on the kitchen wall. It has winding mohogany stairs that lead to a cellar built out of rustic bricks with arch style storage spaces that can store over 500 bottles . You are only a sliding door away from sitting in a large private patio with both a garden table, as well as a lounge rest set. It's only a few metres away from the pool area, yet tucked away to offer privacy.

Each room has air condition that can cool or heat as required.

We provide bed linens and bathroom towels for our guests (guests use their own beach towels for the pool).

"Quinta da Boa Vida" is located in a small village approx 3-5 minutes away from the town of Alcobaca which is known for the UNESCO World Heritage site Monastery founded in the year 1153 by Portugal's first King Alfonso Henriques. It is the heart of the town's old historic centre and visited by millions from around Portugal and the World.

Our picturesque property consists of 5 independent villas and lies on an elevated piece of land surrounded by valleys with a creek, rows of vineyards, apple orchards, olive and fruit trees of all sorts, mountain views which gives you the impression you're in a remote country side, despite having most essentials and city amenities only minutes away.

We're just over 1 hour away from the Lisbon airport and conveniently located in between many historical sites and tourist destinations. Some of these include the University town of Coimbra, the medieval city of Obidos, Fatima where Mother Mary was said to appear, Nazare famous for the highest waves ever surfed, Tomar a picturesque in land city, Peniche the surfers paradise, Sintra known for it's Royal imprint and natural beauty, Cascais and more. We're also 10 minutes away from a national park with caves and steps away from a medieval park ideal for guests with children.

The Quinta itself offers a peacefull and relaxing environment. Our pool area is on the most elevated part of the property for beautiful views of the surroudings. It has an outdoor shower, a wooden Gazebo with a grand circular table, with a grassy opening shaded by an ancient cork tree just next to it.

We also offer a communal BBQ area that has a metre long grill space that can satisfy the grill specialist in any group. There's also a traditional wood pizza/bread oven and running water/sink so that you and your loved ones can prepare an outdoor meal fit for any food lover.

On the lower part of the property, there is an open field with a small creek bed, made up from stones placed hundreds of years ago that has active water running during the winter months. Next to that you'll find a walnut tree that is well over a century and a half old that offers the perfect spot to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine. If you feel like a nice evening walk, or a quiet picnic, please enjoy our private mini forest complete with a small circuit and a stone picnic table along the way.

The quinta is enclosed by a wall made "a Portuguesa" or "Portuguese style" for privacy, only accessible through a typical iron gate and granite cobble stone entrance.
