The main level is built for exactly that. Kitchen, dining, and living share a single open footprint, so someone can be plating dinner at the island while everyone else claims the sectional for a movie or a loud round of cards under the beamed ceiling. The primary bedroom is set up with a queen, a second bedroom adds another, and a third room with a twin bunk usually becomes the kids' clubhouse before the bags are unpacked. Downstairs, a full finished basement works as whatever the trip needs — extra sleeping space, a game zone, or somewhere to disappear for an hour. Central air handles July, and individual room heating means nobody has to negotiate the thermostat when the mountain air turns sharp.

Evenings land outside. The fire pit takes the first half of the night, once the woods go quiet and the light drops, and the private hot tub takes the second, with a clear stretch of sky overhead.
