Hi Christina, Thanks for bringing these issues to my attention. I will immediately fix these issues. This was your second stay at my property and I really appreciate it. Regarding the broken crib, we plan to dispose on the trash day, that is Wednesday. That crib was broken by the guest who stayed prior to your stay. All other issues relate to housekeeping, which I will fix on urgent basis. But, housekeeping reported you used 13 towels in two days, bathrooms were left messy, and every linen in the house was used and left dirty and dishwasher was left loaded with dishes, that is excessive usage. I will be looking into other issues you reported and remedy on urgent basis.

Hi Shann, if you got what you paid for with a low budget then why are you rating my property with two stars vs. five stars? You may want to reconsider your rating. I am highly disappointed with this false review and misrepresentation of the property. Let me reply pointwise. My property has four bedrooms and a kid’s room, not three bedrooms. Trash pails were wheeled to the street for trash pickup, this has never been an issue with any guest, and they were at least 20 meters away from the property. I cannot confirm if there was any stale food left in the microwave, housekeeping did not find any leftover food. There are plenty of extra sheets and pillowcases, if you did not find them, you should have asked me. I always reply promptly. Regarding shower clogging, I asked Shann to send me a picture of the clogging, but Shann replied "No picture and we did not shower". I had reached out to the housekeeping crew to inquire, but they did not notice any clogging in the bathroom who was in the property before Shann's check-in, and the guest who stayed at the property prior to Shann's stay did not experience any clogging. I sent the plumber to look at the clogging issue after check-out, but the plumber did not find any clogging issue in the downstairs shower. The closet doors are bifold closet doors, Shann probably pulled them outward like a regular closet door (other guests had done the same), it has been a recurring problem, but that door can easily be put right back into the track without much effort. The back porch is overlooking Creek and the land around it belongs to the state with trees and bushes, it looks very pretty and calming to me and all other guests, and there is no mold that would prevent guests from using the porch. The back porch gets a lot of sunlight. Signs are not everywhere. There are some signs only in the kitchen area. In other places, I had posted instructions based on the history of questions that guests had asked me. These instructions are very helpful and eliminate guests calling me for frequently asked questions. For example, there is an instruction posted above the thermostat on how to operate the thermostat, there is an instruction posted next to the TV on how to operate the TV. Those signs are helpful for guests. I sent self-check-in instructions at 10:14 AM, which is 5 hours before check-in time at 3:00 PM, and 6 hours before your actual check-in at 4:07 PM. Additionally, you had the address, and all you needed was a four-digit code for the keypad and you had my Cell number. So, not sure why that was concerning.

Hi Lee, Thanks for your stay and review. I checked the Keypad locking system after your checkout, it seems to be working properly, not sure why it was not locking when you were trying. The Keypad is opening and locking as expected without any issues. Regarding the TV, despite my notice next to the TV not to change the HDMI Port on the back of the TV, some guests still do and that causes issues when the next guest tries to watch TV, we have done our best to prevent the HDMI port from being changed, but the host can only do so much to keep things in place. The signs are necessary, informative, and very helpful for the guests. Please understand the host's perspective. For example, despite my property being smoke-free, some guests still smoke in the property, and some guests even removed the screen from the windows to smoke while in the bedroom with their heads out, and window screens are nowhere to be found, similarly there guest have flushed items that should not be flushed in the toilet causing sewer back up causing a great deal of inconvenience, cleanup, and plumbing repair expenses; and the list goes on.

Hi Dana, I am sorry you did not have good stay experience. Why you did not report housekeeping issue during your stay? I could have resolved it immediately. There has never been a case where guest reported housekeeping issue at my property. The creek on the back of the property is accessible, if you walk down the steps to the creek, then guest can just walk few feet thru the weeds. I always access the creek without any issues.

The house was fully remodeled and renovated 9 years ago, and recently painted, with true pictures of the exterior and interior posted in the listing, so not sure why the guest felt house a bit worn and showing its age. The house is decorated in country style because I believe country style is more relaxing and charming. The checkout procedures are not posted anywhere around the house, but only at one place in the Kitchen. Moreover, every guest gets to review the checkout checklist and accept it prior to confirming reservation, so no reason for any guest to complaint about checkout checklist after their stay. My focus is to offer budget friendly accommodation with major focus on cleanliness and comfort.

I wish you reported the towel issue when you saw it first, I could have guided you to fresh set of towels in our linen closet. I will address towel issue with the housekeeping crew. Regarding, mattresses, they all were replaced two years ago, and all should be in good condition, but again I will look into the mattresses issue. All mattresses I have are memory foam with 10 year warranty We will definitely make it up to your expectations on your next visit.

Hi Cynthia, Finally your fine tuned and exaggerated review got posted after being rejected by VRBO multiple times. You stayed at my property more than two moths ago for four nights, but finally you managed to get our review posted as all your prior reviews did not meet the VRBO guidelines. Please stay away from this guest. She had called me 5 fives times and sent me 6 messages with various questions and requests prior to her arrival, including I should make sure fresh ice is ready before her arrival. As soon as she checked-in, within few minutes she left me a message "there is a major issue after she checked-in". I immediately called back only to find out she could not find towels, alhtough no other guest have problem finding towels. She could not operate TV, but while communicating over the phone, she could barely hear me and repeatedly shouted back at me to talk slow, while I was trying to be very polite and guide her how to operate TV. She claimed to have well travelled worldwide, but she could not find the address on the reservation confirmation page and mistaken Charcoal Grill picture for Propane Grill. My best adivse for Cynthia is to increase her nightly budget to meet her high expectations. My pointwise reply. 1.) There are four bath towels stored in the closet of the second level bathroom and four towels in the wicker hamper in the first level bathroom, and we provide addtional fresh towels if needed. I recently hired a new housekeeping crew and they had inadvertently put one towel that had a hole or frayed, that we discarded after you reported to me. 2.) The downstair shower is small, but sufficient enough for taking bath. You should have reported the issue of it not draining well, I would have urgently remedied it. There is filter in the middle of drain that catches hair, all we do is lift it and remove the stuck hair. 3.) Sink Faucet is properly positioned. It is the sink that needs to be used in a certain way. You are first guest in the last 6 years you reported this as a issue. 4.) Railing on the stairs and back deck are perfectly safe, no risk, we have signs do not lean or pull spindles as a safety measure and to prevent spindles getting damaged. 5.) There is no hazaordous stone walkway to the creek, it is perfectly safe, my guests have been using that walkway for the last 6 years, and you are the first to report it as hazardous. There are railings with the steps going down to the creek. Please avoid false and misleading information. There is creek behind the property called Krumkill (you may Google it). Although creek flows throw my property, but creek is a state property and I cannot make it more accessible than providing steps going down as close as possible to the creek. 6.) There are plenty of dishes, silverware, and Pots and Pans, they may be mistmatched, but they all are good quality, clean and obvoisouly not thrown hapazardly. 7.) You reviewed and accepted the terms and conditions of my listing prior to making your reservation, so no reason to complaint afterwards. My Property terms and conditions included the Check-Out-Checklist that you reviewed and accepted before making the reservation.

Thanks for your review. I am not sure which bath towel are you referring to with large holes, but we will look for that towel and discard it. There are plenty of hand towels in both the bathroom cabinets and paper towel rolls as well, but we don't hang hand towels on the towel bar because some guest prefer that way to prevent shared usage.
