"Bettina and Darwin are the most hospitable hosts imaginable. There are only 2 rooms, so you immediately feel one of the family. My room was divine, colourful and comfortable. "Fine hotel, very central placed in Baños with large rooms and large beds. The WiFi is quite decent. Good breakfast with bread, juice, coffee, cheese and ham. The staff is friendly and smiling, but the attention around the reception is poor and people often have to wait there to be serviced. They have a bell which rings every time a new guest comes in, which is loud and repeated. We stayed at the lower floor, right out to the breakfast area. "It's a hostel, not a hotel, so if your expectations are set appropriately, this is a superb find. A bit out of town - 15 mins walk downhill into town and a $1.50 taxi ride home - but nestled at the foot of the mountains. So much nicer than the hundreds of hostels surrounded by karaoke bars near the bus station in town. Run by the nicest, most obliging family. A fabulous breakfast included. Recommended most highly."
