"I love the whole aesthetic and Japanese style, not to mention all the anime!
As an Anime lover myself it was so much fun finding all the hidden figurines such as Attack on Titan flying over head or Vegeta protecting me in the bathroom.
The staff was amazing and friendly. Spoke limited English and even surprised me with a strawberry sundae for my birthday!"

"Nice and quiet hotel. Clean decent size room. The trainstation is close, just across a square, and there are two supermarkets by the square. Transport to Kyoto is a matter of few minutes. I am going to use this hotel again!"

The staff gave us a check in receipt with instructions on how to operate our room lights, breakfast times, key instructions for our room, and check out info. Unfortunately we did not pay attention to the check out time but they called and reminded us. The staff were kind and extended our time for us for a small fee which we did not mind paying to be there the hour over time. The hotel was the most pleasant hotel experience we have had...

"An incredibly well designed hotel! It's modern and yet full of history of Otsu. Certainly a hidden gem. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Not to be missed is their guided tour by the hotel staff. We love hearing the stories and the neighbourhood eating places are simply amazing!! We'll surely come back again. Thanks for making our stay a truly memorable one. "

"Le meilleur qu on a trouvé, situé à Otsu donc moins cher que Kyoto et pourtant pas très loin de la ville (25mn), le plus grand lac du Japon est juste a coté, nous avons adoré particulièrement le fait qu on s est senti comme on vivait dans une maison traditionnelle japonnais, décor, tatami, couchette, notre chambre avait aussi 3 lits superposés donc il y avait l option de dormir dans les lits ou sur le tatami, on recommande "

"Rigtigt godt hotel/lejlighed i et smukt og roligt område.
Hotellet lå ud til en lille kanal, med piletræer. Der var flot og tæt på lå en overdækket butiks/spisegade, så man kunne gå i lå for regn og sol til metroen og busserne rundt i byen.
Værelset havde to store og gode senge, med aircondition. Herudover var der køleskab, el-kedel, mikrooven samt kogeplade. Service var minimalt kun til 4 personer. Kun et bord med 2 stole, men kan rykkes rundt så 2 sidder på sengen (hvis man er familie på 4).
Vaskemaskine samt badeværelse der kan fungere som tørreskab, perfekt når man er på rundrejse i Japan."

The room on the 9th floor was very big, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
There is complementary tea and coffee in the reception area, which is nice in the morning.
The location of the hotel is great, and despite it being in the centre of everything, the room was very quiet.
We would definitely come back here next time we are in Kyoto."

The gym was ok but you had to pay for the fitness facility every each day you used it. Furthermore, it opened up late in the morning (7am) which is very annoying when you want to start the day early. "
