Once we figured out the bedside lamp switch (ask the staff) our time here went quickly. Location on main street on a warm town event filled weekend but external noise didn't interrupt good night sleep. Breakfast great with add ons and take outs catered for. Only downside to the place, in common with many older properties is the abundance of stairs. Would...

"Lovely little hotel, great host, very friendly, clean and comfortable room, we chose this hotel because it was Pet Friendly and it didn’t disappoint, the only negative is no evening meals, but you can drive into Lanark 4 miles away where there’s a great choice, there’s also a small supermarket opposite. Apart from that we had a great stay and would definitely use again"

"Very nice and the owner and service staff was fun. The food was great and the gardens were so pretty. Good place if going from Dumfries to Glasgow and need a intermediary place to stay. The service people were funny and pleasant also. Great place to drink Shackleford Whiskey!"

"Blackaddie is very comfortable country hotel. We stayed two nights in pheasant, and found the accommodation to be quite a very high standard. The bed was very large and comfortable but slightly firm. There is a lovely view over the garden towards the river. We ate in the hotel both evenings and couldn’t understand why it wasn’t busier as both meals were delicious. "
