  • Dette dejlige stenbygde sommerhus ligger i centrum af Aberfeldy, en smuk købstad beliggende i hjertet af Skotland. Sommerhuset ligger i en gårdhave beliggende få meter fra Main Street op ad en lille bane. Det er omgivet af et kurvhegn og nyder privatlivets fred i en lille lukket, lukket have. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Coach House. Aberfeldy was a charming village with quaint restaurants, the beautiful Birks walk and convenient to so many Perthshire villages. The cottage was bright, well equipped and oh so comfortable. We appreciated meeting Colin when we arrived to get the overview and would most definitely return!

Home from home

We enjoyed a great family holiday in this comfortable family home beautifully located in the middle of Aberfeldy. Although central, it was very quiet.

Comfortable and convenient Aberfeldy stay

Excellent stay in the Coach House. Colin personally greeted us and was great to work with during our stay. House was conveniently located and very comfortable. We would love to return to Aberfeldy in the future and would definitely book with Colin again.

The coach house is in a really convenient location in a beautiful little town, which is central to many attractions in Scotland. Colin went the extra mile when we met him, in showing us the house and all the amenities. It proved to be an ideal fit for five of us travelling together.There were many extras available, which are not usually found in vacation rental properties, such as good China and many crystal glasses. It really felt like we were in home and not a rental property. I recommend the coach house and Colin as a vacation rental. Jim Grier Vancouver Island.

Coach House Review

This house has a great location within the heart of the town making it very accessible for all the local amenities. As it is tucked away from the main road it was very quiet and relaxing. It’s a great family house to stay in with everything provided. Would highly recommend.

Fabulolus Holiday Home, a Home Away from Home

We had a great time in Aberfeldy. Completely exceeded our expectations. We would definitely return again. Everything from the checking in process to the accommodation to the surroundings was splendid. Thank you Colin!

The Coach House felt very homey and comfortable. Like returning to your favorite holiday house. It was roomy and had a very well stocked kitchen. The towels were plentiful & water hot. The garden was a delight with lots of blooms & birds. Colin was a very proactive communicator & highly responsive. A great host. Aberfeldy is charming with plenty of walks, both easy & challenging. There are lots of restaurants & coffee shops, a Coop grocery, hardware store, lovely cinema and butcher shop. We cooked alot because the kitchen had everything & the butcher shop was great. Try to get to Iain Burnetts Chocolatier in Grantully (5 mi by car or walking trail along the river). A really great stay!

Fabulous Stay in Aberfeldy!

We enjoyed our stay in Aberfeldy immensely. The property was beautiful, clean, modern, and in the heart of the village. We could walk to everything, including the Co-Op for a few groceries. Excellent, friendly host met us upon arrival and gave us the grand tour. This was by far the best of the VRBOs we stayed in. Would definitely return.

Cottage au centre village

Le Cottage est situé au centre Aberfeldy, très pratique pour les courses . Le Cottage a un étage à prendre en compte. Sinon tout le confort est prévu, merci à notre hote Colin ! On recommande le restaurant Three Lemond à pieds et en voiture le Inn Tay ainsi que Errichel et Thyme. Il faut compter 1h de route avant de visiter château et site mais ça se fait..à gauche !

Amazing stay! Highly recommend

I stayed at the Coach House for almost 2 months. During this time, my mother and sister visited, three girlfriends visited, and my husband stayed with me most of the visit. It worked perfectly for all of us. The Garden is truly delightful and the cottage is charming, comfortable, with modern amenities. Colin was a delight and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Aberfeldy is a lovely Highland town, great base for exploring. The best VRBO property I’ve encountered.

The entire house, especially the kitchen, could benefit from a thorough cleaning and removal of the owner’s personal items when rented.One of the reasons we had rented this property was that the listing stated that there was a washer and a dryer. At check-in we were informed that the dryer did not work. If you are not going to fix the dryer, best to not name it as an amenity. The living room is very cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed wine and cheese in the yard watching the birds.

Oh my goodness, we absolutely loved our stay in the Carriage House in Aberfeldy. Sometimes photos just can't accurately reflect the loveliness of a property, and this is one of those times. We LOVED everything about our stay in Aberfeldy, which turned out to be the perfect home base for exploring the stunning Scottish Highlands. From attending the Northern Meeting bagpipe competition in Inverness to Glencoe to Inveraray to the fabulous 3-star Michelin restaurant at Glenturret distillery, EVERYTHING was perfect. The Carriage House was a fabulous home for us, with a well-stocked and large kitchen (with a very cool potato "masher"), super comfortable beds, luxurious showers, and a garden that served as our morning coffee spot and welcomed us home every evening. And being right in town was the best! Colin was a gracious host - meeting us upon our arrival with tips and lots of great instructions as to how we might best enjoy our stay. This was one of our favorite vacations ever! We will return.

An amazing “home from home”, comfortable, well-appointed, interesting art, kitchen fully equipped, all combining in a way to make one consider never leaving. I was a solo travler in a place too big for one but it didn’t feel that way. The house welcomed me as warmly as the host, Colin. The garden was charming, the “Oz Pig” inviting. The town of Aberfeldy is charming as described and the proximity to the Birks was inspiring!

Beautiful house close the centre of Aberfeldy

The Coach House is a very spacious and well equipped holiday house which makes a great base for exploring the local area. We particulrly like the relatively large kitchen/diner which allowed our family to socialise and to eat together. The small private garden and covered area was great for the children to play in.

Gorgeously restful

Colin was so helpful, from an early check in after a long overseas journey to helping us find a garage mid week for our car . He was very prompt in replying and we all had the feeling that it was really important to Colin that we all felt at home, had everything we needed and would have a restful, fun time. The location in the village centre is very quiet , we enjoyed the ozpig and the bottle of wine in the fridge. Thank you Colin, we hope to return and wish you the very best. Only request - a lock on the downstairs bathroom door 😆

Superb holiday

Very nice property, an old coach house & very nicely furnished in a style that’s appropriate to the cottage. Very well equipped kitchen with lots of extras. Comfortable beds & bunk beds in 3rd room 3/4 bed size, 2 kids could sleep in one. An adult slept in one ok in out group. Area gorgeous & plenty to do. Plenty good places to eat too. A beautiful garden with sitting area. Will definitely return.

Fantastic

Stayed with niece and my cousins kids and the owner met us and gave us such a warm welcome and a tour of the property which was a lovely touch. Great location and short walk into the town of Aberfeldy. Lovely property and great space inside. Plenty of room for 3 children and 2 adults. Ideal location for travelling anywhere and good local amenities. Would definitely recommend and would lobe to stay again

Long cycling weekend

Wonderfully helpful host and fabulous cottage. The location is central but very private. The cottage has a lovely warm, welcoming feel and the amenities are truly excellent. A lot of thought and consideration has obviously been given. I really couldn’t recommend more.

Perfect base for sights of central Scotland

Beautiful, comfortable and extremely well-equipped cottage. Centrally located in the pretty , small town of Aberfeldy with many local amenities and a fantastic array of easily accessible walks. The covered area in the sheltered garden, complete with wood-burning ‘Ozpig’ was perfect for chilled evenings. Highly recommend for a relaxing and recuperative, family holiday.
