Perfect
Janice and David were perfect host. Pool house was spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Extremely clean and comfortable. Is located in the country which is very peaceful but within 5 miles of restaurants. Has a beautiful pool area with well maintained flowers and yard.

The perfect place.
Stop looking! You have found it! We can’t say enough about The Cajun Getaway and it’s host, Mrs. Janice. With perfect accommodations, beautiful landscaping (and pool), comfortable layout, and wonderfully secluded location… you will love it too. The Cajun Getaway
We only had a few days for our Anniversary so we just went to near by Tabasco Plant and gardens and the RIP VAN WINKLE GARDENS.Janice and her husband were very accommodating and we were very impressed with how large and well stocked the place was .the pool is beautiful and the place is just precious.Hope to make it our annual anniversary get away , great place to unwind .Dennis and Donna

Family fun
My family enjoyed the Cajun Getaway! The spacious house and large pool were amazing to relax and enjoy family time together. Stocked items in kitchen made it easy to enjoy a meal on site or cook healthy meals. Thank you for your thoughtfulness on this. Owners are around to help if need and are very friendly. 10 minutes or so from town to go shopping or see a movie. Looking forward to returning. You will love this property!

Quick getaway before starting a new job
WOW! Luxurious and comfortable, well-stocked with all necessary consumables. A perfect, quiet getaway in pretty surroundings! Gracoius hosts and very, very nice outdoor amenities, as well.

Oh my!
This was really a nice place! Amenities, amenities, amenities. They thought of everything. I was thankful because I didn't really want to have to get out much. They've gone above and beyond. Quaint. Cozy. One bedroom for a couple, but the kitchen, dining, and outside has ideal spacing. Books, games are extra. The pool is not too deep if you have young one. I didn't have to use all of the amenities, but I did get to use a few things that I had accidentally forgotten, but needed. I got to meet the owners. They were very cordial. Tastefully decorated. Lots of us ideas to duplicate . I do plan to return.

Just Perfect
My husband and I wanted/needed a small getaway for our anniversary. We didn't want to travel far and found Cajun Getaway. It was perfect. We have gone to many rentals over the years and we have never been to one where there were so many thoughtful incidentals. There was no need for a trip to a store for something forgotten, because if it wasn't here we just didn't need it. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were beautiful and there were far too many warm and homey touches that were welcoming to mention. The pool was a God send! We will book again!

Home away from home
Beautiful home and a wonderful place to stay. The property manager was accommodating and a pleasure to speak with. Everything about the home was clean and the pool and property were very well kept. There was even a quant area with hammock, swings and garden lights to enjoy. The freshly stocked fridge and pantry with all the dishes and cooking supplies needed made our stay easy and convenient. We even got to enjoy a family dinner poolside and my kids loved it. Highly recommend this home and plan to return in the future. Thanks again!

Best experience ever!!
As soon as we arrived Janice was there to welcome us and walk us through the property, she had everything looking beautiful, cozy and with extra touches (basket of toys, kids toothbrush and toothpaste in case we forgot one, chargers for our phones, makeup wipes, 1st aid kit, the list goes on and on) Janice also has that warm southern hospitality that you wish you could bottle up and take back with you ❤ I will definitely go back, if I had a choice I never would've left. This is a wonderful property! Janice and David are such great hosts and went above and beyond to provide us with everything we needed. Vermillion Parish is a great place to visit and we will return. Our pup loved it, too!

Beautiful and super clean!
Everything was so wonderful. All of the extras were here. The owners met us at check in and helped me get everything unloaded. I traveled from Texas with my grand daughters ages 7 and 9 ! They got to swim in a beautiful pool. We slept great . Everything was just about perfect and we hope to visit again

Cajun Getaway is truly a home away from home.
It was fabulous, a little piece of paradise! Janice and David are wonderful hosts. The house is clean and custom decorated, with beautiful original works of local art and flavor. It is located in a quiet area but close to attractions and restaurants. Perfect setup for a couple's retreat or family vacation. The kitchen was stocked with all the things you never remember to bring but need:-) The outdoor pool and surrounding gardens are beautifully designed to allow for relaxation and fun. The patios/porches are welcoming and comfortable to enjoy morning coffees and/or an evening glass of wines. We cannot wait to come back and stay again on our next visit!

Great Place Off The Beaten Path!
This was such a cute rental off the beaten path. Very nicely decorated. It was peaceful and we felt like we were out in the country, but only about 10 minutes from town, and only 15 minutes from Avery or Jefferson Island. We didn’t use the pool because it was to chilly, but it was beautiful and well maintained. We did however have a bonfire. The reviews said the host didn’t forget to supply anything you might need which my husband took as a personal challenge. I am here to tell you “ She Didn’t “ There was even everything we needed for breakfast in the refrigerator. Our host’s were very friendly and we are going to try and get back to stay again!

Cajun Paradise
We absolutely LOVED our stay here!! The house and pool were awesome. The bed was very comfortable. I have back problems and slept so good. The breakfast items and coffee pods were so thoughtful. My little girls absolutely loved using Alexa to pick out movies, music and just ask questions. The property owner was very easy to reach and quick to respond. We felt like we had total privacy here.

Home Away from Home - Can't wait to return next summer.
We spent the week after Hurricane Ida here. It was a planned getaway that turned into an evacuation. Our back home worries were lessened by the care and comfort of Mr. David and Mrs. Janice. We felt like family. They were extremely responsive and helpful. The unit is very private and had tons of items stocked which helped out very much. We plan to come back next year.

Perfect Girls Trip
This property was the PERFECT location for a girls get away weekend. The pool was beautiful. The property was secluded, and Ms. Janice and Mr. David were great hosts. The fridge was stocked with eggs, bacon, milk, OJ, etc. I've rented a lot of properties from VRBO, and I've never experienced that before. I will return and tell all of my friends.

Cajuns getting away
My husband and I are from Louisiana, but have called Texas home for 30 years. We wanted to visit and "eat " our way through south Louisiana but not stay in town. This place was perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. It is one of the most welcoming and comfortable stays we've ever had. Our hosts immediately became friends and offered wonderful suggestions to enhance our eating tour. We will definitely be returning soon. Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing and totally satisfying culinary trip!

Perfect Getaway
My family stayed here for a baseball tournament and the property had everything we needed. The large kitchen/dining/living room was plenty large to accommodate my family of 4. Janice and David made sure all of our needs were met and would check in with us while still allowing us privacy to enjoy our vacation. Having the fridge stocked with breakfast items was super convenient and appreciated. Very highly recommend this property!

Completely upped the bar for vacation rentals
The Cajun Getaway was an absolutely wonderful and relaxing experience for us. The property itself was well maintained, clean and had everything you could think of available. Janice had fresh eggs, biscuits, orange juice and bacon when we arrived. Extra clean linens, extra toiletries and beach towels. A full spice cabinet with all the basics that you never think about until you rent a nearly empty condo. I seriously do not ever want to rent from a property manager again. David & Janice took such care to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We felt like family staying with them. They recommended some great restaurants nearby and family friendly activities. They were responsive when they needed to be and yet gave us complete privacy. The microwave went out (it happens) and they had it replaced almost immediately. The pool was clean and so inviting.

Great little country oasis
This place was awesome and she did accommodate our dog. Please note that the owner only allows small dogs. The home is hard to find and GPS does not have an accurate location. However, she is a quick phone number away and I would recommend getting in touch with her prior to arrival for this issue. Just to stave off some common questions: 1) the listing is a very large pooguest house. It is very well appointed, super comfortable, and has ALL the amenities. 2) your outside area is fenced (my dog somehow found a small opening and ran out but it was ok) 3) they do not encroach on the backyard and have their own outdoor space. We felt it was private and night swimming was awesome. They have a little cabana too for you to do whatever with a cool table. 4) the owner was very polite and thanked us for cleaning before we left. We always clean (vacuum/mop -especially with a golden retriever, wipe surfaces etc.) but have never been thanked by am owner before when we have rented.

Amazing Guest House
Extremely comfortable guest house. We have stayed here before and we’re so happy to stay again. Plenty of room for two adults and two kids. The hostess Janice is extremely responsive to any and all questions. The breakfast items provided were wonderful l! We will definitely stay here anytime we are in the area.

Home away from home
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cajun Getaway! We spent our days exploring the nearby towns,, state parks and gardens. When we returned after dinner it was a lovely, peaceful place to rest up for our next day’s adventure. Our hosts, David and Janice, were such nice people. We really enjoyed visiting with them!, They and everyone else we met left us with such a good feeling about Cajun country!

Delightful!
The property was so relaxing. There was plenty of seating inside and out. The bed was very comfortable. The cupboards were stocked with all the pantry needs one could ask for! Cable and Netflix in the living room and Netflix in the bedroom. The covered parking was an added bonus as well! The kids enjoyed the pool and the adults enjoyed having a covered table to sit at outside. Janice and David were wonderful! We had to have the WiFi reset and that was taken care of right away! We had a great stay :)
