The t.v. was very dated and I had to pay for wireless internet, which I think is ridiculous at this point in time, but the rest of the room was great.

From the reception when we checked in to checkout time all was good.

I was flying in from mombasa after a two week holiday at the coast......the check-in was done promptly and my luggage was brought to the room for me. I was tired and had a longhaul flight ahead of me the next day....so I decided to book a massgae.......what an excellent choice! I never had a better massage in my life!........I also had my dinner in the room and it was superb!! Later on I needed phone credit but the business center had closed already but a member of staff made sure I had my credit wihin 15 min.....the only (very small) criticism I have is about my room facing kenyatta avenue.....it was a saturday night and (quite naturally) the city center was buzzing.....and as a consequence the room wasnt as quiet as I thought it would be.......but overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quality place to stay!!

This was the trip my wife and I put off for too many years. Our room had been recently renovated and had a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. The cooling unit never worked as it should have, even after 7 visits by maintenance people, although it then cooled to a temperature I could live with and my wife was actually comfortable with. The staff was always very courteous and concerned. The beach-side bar/restaurant was particularly nice and very scenic - a place to really relax and enjoy the best of this tropical paradise. The food was quite good with ample selections and good quality. The 24 hour restaurant was in need of renovation - hopefully on the list to work on soon. There were very nice places to lounge right above the beach in the protected area of the hotel grounds, well guarded by security people. That ensured our privacy from the locals 'working' the beach selling things and hoping for a few dollars from a 'sea safari' out into the ocean at low tide, yet we felt we were almost on the beach.
