"I stayed for three nights at Splendid Star Grand Hotel and can recommend this hotel for sure. The location is perfect, right in the old quarter, but in a nice and quiet side street, so no noise in the room. The room was very spacious and comfortable, but I must say that it was quite old and worn, and surely didn't look as good as the pictures (they rarely do :-). The staff was really nice, friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good. "

"Reception staff simply don't have the knowledge and or mandate to execute their job. They try and sell membership to the spg program upon arrival... OK . I can accept that, but when I inform them of how poorly this has worked in the past, there is NOTHING they can neither WILL do. Well.... if you are not willing and or able to defend your product then DON'T SELL IT!!!! VERY irritating. They advertise with a shuttle service. turns out.... They don't have it !!!"

We had a small issue with our room and they dealt with it immediately with no quibble moved us and could not have been more helpful on all fronts. Very friendly place to stay would recommend! "
