"I had a fantastic stay at Bunker Hill with my Mrs and two daughters aged 5 and 9. Reading the reviews I was a bit concerned about how secure we would be and the state of the hotel, but it all turned out to be exaggerated and we had a fantastic stay at Bunker Hill. The family spirit from the front desk to the kitchen and Nephew Thomas assisting was truly amazing. The hotel is very well placed for tourists (in particular Danes wanting to see some historical sites). So can only recommend this...

"Poor restaurant with a not-up-to-date menu card with too much unhealthy food. Many of the waiters were simply not up to their jobs and the service level was not impressive in the restaurant - and at the morning buffets in particular. The mattresses were WAY too soft and given us all five family members a bad lower back and therefore not getting a good night's sleep. Don't go there - go to St. John Inn hotel on St. John instead - a super place with great service."

"All was in top condition there and especially the staff deserves praise - super friendly and helpful. We needed to get medical help and they called the hospital to inquire about availability during the holidays. The room itself was clean and big enough and we even got free cooled water in the room. "Decent budget accommodations in the center of Charlotte Amalie managed by a responsive staff. There's a café on premises offering complimentary coffee and reasonably priced breakfast and lunch items which is nice as there aren't many restaurants very close by. The A/C was inadequate as it was poorly installed at floor level and window's louvers could not be fully closed. The ceiling fan did not work but the staff provided a standing fan. Mosquitoes were an occasional problem. "

"Antilles Resort is a lot of rooms privately held and rented which imposes that the quality and maintence of the rooms varies a lot. We had no hot water (and it wasn't changed) nor was the stove and other electric items functioning properbly. The resort is located on the beach and the beach is fantastic and the resort is in walking distance to Red Hook."

"The view from the rooms is magnificent. No doubt about that. However the cleaning of the room was very bad. When we arrived the floor, the bathroom and the windows were not clean.
