Hotel Meg is a very lovely boutique hotel (only 7 rooms) with impeccable service. The personnel is very kind, efficient and attentive. The rooms are very comfortable; they have separate living room, are very silent and sparkling clean. The hotel is located just 2 small blocks from the Cascade Complex. Just make sure you ask help from reception when ordering a cab for proper directions; I noticed a few cars get confused with the location as the same address points to 2 different sides of the building in different streets.

Surprising gem behind an unassuming exterior!
What a surprising boutique hotel! Very spacious room, stylishly designed. Very accommodating staff. One very small issue -- any noise from common areas goes straight into the room. Could be mitigated with the use of some area rugs in the room and/or lobby area. Otherwise -- perfect!

Excellent as per all other reviews. However be aware of loud metro noise and vibration frequently until midnight, and also loud chatter from reception area highly audible in apartment 2 intermittent but throughout the night. Also beware of being charged twice for laundry—I paid on the day, but was asked at reception on departure to pay again!

Big rooms in a small hotel. Tiny customer service
I believe this hotel only has 1 floor with about 6-8 total rooms. This means you get a room with plenty of space for a big comfortable bed, a kitchenette area (fridge/sink) dining room table, and a good size bathroom. And since there aren't hundreds of other guests coming and going it stays pretty quiet which is nice. My only issue was with the front desk staff, one of the younger girls had no interest in trying to help me. Everything I asked her response was "I don't know." The correct response for someone in customer service should be "I don't know, but give me some time to find out." and then try to find an answer. She just had no interest in even trying. No initiative to try and help a foreign guest. That was the biggest downside, and I wish management would better train the staff on how to take initiative and be proactive. Or at the very least make an ATTEMPT to help out a guest. I don't think that's asking too much. Parking is limited to street parking and can be challenging at times. Location is pretty walkable to most points of interest and just a very slight hill/stairs to get to the hotel for the last 40 meters. Not too bad.

Good for sleeping only. Not parking or for staff.
The hotel building/room were great. Good location, relatively quiet street, walkable to points of interest, comfortable bed, decent wifi. My only issue was with one of the front-desk staff members. I had asked her for some help related to a local issue, and she was not useful at all, not interested in trying to help in the slightest. I can understand if she didn't have the answer, that's fine, but she showed absolutely no interest in trying to figure out the answer. She just didn't seem to have the capacity to problem solve. I tried to prompt her by asking if she didn't have the answer, who might she ask to get the answer, she still didn't get it. Worthless. Also, even though the listing says "free parking" there is only ONE parking spot that is reserved for guests, and it was almost always occupied by another car. You will have to find a parking spot nearby on the city street, and it's a very narrow street, so only one side is available for parking. IMO, "free parking" in a listing should be a dedicated lot only for hotel guests.

Great value for a large, comfy space in Yerevan
We arrived early but they were kind enough to let us check in. The room included a huge living/dining area for the price and very spacious bathroom and bedroom. There is not much of a view from this room, but we spent of the days out and about so no big deal. Wifi wasn't so good in the bedroom, but just had to move a little closer to the living room. Close to the Cascade area and walking distance to many shops and restaurants, but the hotel itself occupies a small space within a building in a quiet residential area. The breakfast was decent enough and included with the hotel rate. Would gladly stay here again for a 3-night stay if back in Yerevan. The shower was nice and hot.

Absolutely great little hotel - quiet, spotlessly clean, lovely staff, great breakfasts, and possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. On a small backstreet so nice and quiet, but very close to the city centre and the Cascades.

Great place, great staff, clean & welcoming.
We stayed for three weeks in the summer and every day was a pleasure to be there. Extremely friendly and professional, made us feel at home. For us, it was home away from home. We highly recommend Hotel Meg, you won’t be disappointed.

Diese Hotel behandelt die Gäste individuell, denn es hat nur 7 Zimmer. Diese sind geräumig und in einem Topp-Zustand. Shuttle-Service in der Nacht vom Flugplatz inclusive! Frühstück bis 12 Uhr auf das Zimmer serviert - das hat seinen Charme trotz begrenzter Auswahl. Top-Lage im Zentrum zwischen Matenadaran und Oper. Toll!

Beautiful room, unbeatable price!
Awesome stay. The staff was beyond kind, and we were able to check in early after taking an overnight train. They then went above & beyond just giving us a map w/ directions, and got us a driver for the sites outside of town, checked bus schedules, and made dinner reservations for us. The room was spacious, clean, and in a perfect location right next to the Cascades and chic restaurants. Thank you Hotel Meg, you truly spoiled us!

Great Value For Your Money
Hotel Meg is a bit difficult to find as it's located in a fairly nondescript building on a street that's not terribly easy to find. That said, however, it's certainly located very near to everything with many great restaurants right around the corner and the Square de France just a block away. While the hotel isn't without its faults, it certainly offers incredible value for your money and the staff (most of them) are extremely friendly and speak English very well. The rooms are large and very clean, the beds are comfortable and breakfast, which is served in your room, is quite good, though perhaps a little scant. The hotel is evidently located directly above the subway line as you can hear the train passing every seven minutes or so, but it isn't incredibly loud, and wasn't bothersome for us. We stayed three nights and would certainly stay again.

O hotel é muito confortável e bem localizado, de onde se pode ir a pé aos principais pontos turísticos.O staff foi gentil e sempre pronto a nos ajudar com transporte e tours. O café da manhã é um pouco limitado, sem opção de frutas e sucos, e peca pela pouca variedade oferecida. A presença de uma cozinha no apartamento permite o preparo de pequenos lanches e de um reporço no café da manhã.

Nice hotel close to the Cascades
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is quite cozy and comfortable. Rooms have all the necessities, and the staff is always ready to help with different issues. The location could not be better, but the hotel needs to make itself more visible for its visitors. A small sign outside does not suffice by itself. However, we found the room a little cold in its design. A small rug or a carpet would be of much use. Moreover, the hotel should definitely improve their wifi service and fix other small issues in rooms.

Excellent staff!
The staff at Hotel Meg are wonderful. I arrived very early in the morning, about 7 hours before check in, and they let me in my room and had breakfast prepared for us. The staff also was able to make sure we did not get ripped off for cab rides or when we hired a driver. I ended up staying 2 extra nights. The only downsides were the wifi wasn't very strong, and our room location could get noisy at times. If possible I would request a room further down the hall away from the entrance.

What a great find this hotel was! Friendly and professional staff, a clean and spacious room, located within a few minute's walk form the great Mashtots library, and within walking distance of good restaurants and cafés. As another reviewer has said, it is difficult to find this hotel initially, so if it is your first visit you might like to ensure that you have a map of where the hotel is and its telephone number.

The Meg is perfectly located: just up the hill from the Cascades/Opera House and just down the hill from the National Library (which is a must-visit for anyone coming to Yerevan). Amenities include in-room breakfast and taxis always available outside the front gate. Also, you're in the same building as the Sakharov Human Rights Center... what's not to like?

Nice apartment hotel
The location itself is rather double: it's in a somber back-street on one of Yerevan's main avenues. Once you have passed the front-door, you enter into a perfect apartment-hotel: I had a large bedroom, large lounge with a built-in kitchen and a reasonable bathroom. I have lived in several smaller apartments ! Very friendly and helpful staff, speaking a reasonable english. Nice breakfast.

Not a bad hotel but location can be better
Although it was a short stay (only 1 night) the hotel is quite easy to judge in terms of overall convenience and location. The hotel is a converted apartment building with large rooms, staff are very friendly and rooms are clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the location of the hotel entrance is like an apartment building so it kind of puts you off when you arrive there, location is somewhat central but if its winter time, you will definitely need cabs to get to Republic square in the freezing weather. Not much in terms of sights closeby, except for the cascades. While i think its a decent hotel at a good price, i would rather spend a little bit more and just stay at a hotel close to the square with in room service in case you can't go out.

Wonderful Hotel in Every Way!!!
I absolutely LOVE the Hotel Meg! Located on a very quiet backstreet, it's only a one-minute walk from Yerevan's main street with lots of shops and restaurants very nearby. When I arrived at the hotel, I was warmly greeted by staff who made me feel very welcome. In fact, I made the comment that they seemed like family! An amazing aspect of the hotel is the daily breakfast served each morning in the guestroom. For dinner, the very best food and atmosphere in town are found in an Italian restaurant (also nearby) that is owned by the same man who owns the Hotel Meg. I can't say enough wonderful things about the Hotel Meg! I ended a four-week trip from Serbia to Armenia with three nights at the Hotel Meg, and it was my favorite hotel of the entire journey!
