Dear Gillian, you are very happy, with you're stay, thank-you for the 4 stars review, you're points i,d just like to add, Raf Benson is not in Ipsden?, its about 4/5 miles away, there are much closer villages and towns like dorchester-on-thames, Benson and Wallingford, and beautiful thatched roof villages around these three riverside towns, which are closer than ipsden in the next valley over, so a complete non issue, also the barn windows and doors are all fully double glazed, i might hear a helicopter high in the sky once a month come this way, maybe they had an open/family day over your weekend stay, again of course there are roads around here, the barn though is on a side farm road, Church Lane, but compared to London it could be Tasmania around here, there are also combine harvesters and tractors going around in the fields, in the distance, depending on the time of year, but quite therapeutic to watch them slowly going up and down the fields, out of the barn windows, its an English rural Idyll, like a Constable painting, (i,m related to John Constable), as an area, Ipsden is a 6th Century Hamlet, and is known as having the best views anywhere in the Chiltern Hills, just breathtaking, its a must to visit, and with all the ancient tracts and paths and views, you get a real connection back to an ancient past, before there was even an England, the barn is just a great base to get out and explore this really fascinating conservation area, there are many pictures of the barn interiors on the website, it's an understated cozy English country cottage style, not the unusual Ikea rental look, guests fall in love with the interiors and say the pictures don't do it justice, its charming and unique , in a very special unique area, i,m catering to guests who have traveled 1000's of miles, and i want them to feel its a little home from home, drop their bags , totally relax, have a cup of tea and head out on a river or woodland walk, again thank-you for staying, kind regards, alexander :-)
