The electric did trip in the kitchen and you contacted me and I told you how to reset the electricitiy and it did not happen again during your stay. The electric light tube in the kitchen failed during your stay and that was replaced the same day. We cannot know when light bulbs fail. The problems you had were fixed promptly. The water heater in the bathroom is ok for the jacuzzi bath - it is not a hot tub so does not fill to the top. There is a separate water heater for the shower in the shower room. There is a clothes airer - not an electric clothes drier and perhaos this was lost in translation. The pool has a solar cover but this must be left on at night and during the day when not in use t help warm the water. I am pleased you still had a good stay.

I am suprised to read your review - the beds ae quite new but mattresses depend on what people are used to back home. The huge bed in the master bedroom usually receives very positive comments as is a very good quality bed Air con is not usually needed but there are fans for really hot days. The villa is an older property which means much larger rooms than modern villas but all the bedroomed and dining room furniture etc was only replaced this year. We do not have a cat and it is not helpful if guests feed a cat which comes onto the property.

I am pleased you enjoyed your stay at the villa. You are the first person to mention a cat - as there are high walls around the property. I wonder if a previous guest was feeding the cat thus encouraging it which is never a good idea. I will see if we can put a deterrent on top of the wall.

I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at the villa. I was a little surprised you said you found the villa a bit tired - especially as you emailed me to say what a wonderful place it was. The master suite has just had all new furniture and a new shower in the 2nd bathroom and the whole villa has only just been painted. I will certainly check out the worktops in the kitchen. Regarding the pool - the solar cover has to be left on to heat the water when not in use and the maintaince man and the garden who came up to the villa said on all the occasions you were out but the pool cover was left off. It needs to be kept on when not in use and then it will heat the water up. I am pleased to hear you still enjoyed the villa - guests are rebooking all the time and I look forward to welcoming you back. Updated the solar pool cover has just been replaced so is now even more efficient on keeping the temperature up.

I am really suprised to read your review. If you had any problems while you were staying you should have contacted either myself or the contact details I gave you. I am not sure why you did not? I will certainly get all you mentioned checked out. There is a walk in wardrobe in the main suite complete with a door you can close - so no need for a wardrobe. This is a large area with rails to hang clothes and a chest of drawers for other clothes and more than enough space to store suitcases etc. Plus both other bedrooms have two double built in wardrobes so plenty of space for clothes. Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review but I do wish you had contacted me during your stay so any problems could have been sorted during your holiday. I am pleased to say that problems really occur but if they do they can usually be swiftly solved. There is no point waiting until you get home to leave a bad review when any problems could have been sorted during your stay. I am pleased to say most people leave good reviews and I have many repeat bookings. ** Since writing this response the drains in the shower room has been checked and cleared. The problem was caused by someone flushing something they should not have down the toilet. All now okay - but this could have been easily sorted while you were there..

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We actually arrived in the villa ourselves for a few days. Your are the first guests to say you found some of the beds uncomfy. They are all good quality mattresses and no one has ever mentioned this before. Personally I find the beds very comfy. I think it is probably a case of the beds not being the same as the ones you are used to in your own house back home. There are all the terrestrial TV Channels available on the television - plus the Sky channels plus some USA channels and films etc so I can only assume you did not follow the TV instructions properly. We have been watching the TV since we arrived and all is fine. The villa was completely rewired about 2 years ago with new sockets throughout. My husband has checked all the sockets and they are all okay. I think you are probably referring to the clip on the socket surrounds. Unlike the sockets in the UK where the socket and the socket plate are all one unit - here the socket is separate from the surround.. So if someone is not careful unplugging an appliance (especially with a UK adapter) the surround can spring off. This is easily clipped back on. The actual electric socket is in not way affected and still perfectly safe. If you had thought there was a problem you only had to phone the number I give and any problems could have been resolved. I have checked the sockets myself and clipped the offending socket back on - now all in order. There is usually tea and coffee etc in the cupboard. I am please you still had a good holiday.

Pleased to hear you had a good holiday. Yes I understand there were a few cool days while you were there - it was the same on the coast. Very unusual for April. At the moment it is warmer at the villa than on the coast - but you can never tell.

Many thanks for your lovely review. The villa is very popular with people wanting a quiet holiday but close to the resorts if they want. Yes, the weather was unusually unpredictable this Christmas - please to say it is back to normal now. Please you still had a good holiday.

I believe you are another one of the party who have already left a poor review. If you consider you had problems while you were there why did you not contact the person who I put on the information I send in case of any problems. There is little point waiting until you get home to leave a negative review. You are the first to mention some water damage on the ceiling and I will get this checked along with the other issues. Regarding the water - this is heated by water heater (the same sort of system as the immersion heaters in the UK) and once the tank has been emptied it has to reheat again. The villa has two separate water heaters for the two bathrooms. This is the best method over there - the only other method would be with gas bottles which can run out and are also not safe for a rental property which is why we opted for the water heaters. The pool has a solar cover to help keep the water warm bt this needs to be put on when not being used so the sun can heat the water. The villa offers very good value for money and most comparably villas in Tenerife - cost much more for less facilities. I want people to have a good holiday but as I stated before there is no point waiting until guests get home to leave negative reviews. The amount of positive reviews far outweigh any negative comments on the property.

I am finding it really difficult to take this review seriously. I am sorry if you burnt your hand on the oven - but why on earth would someone touch an oven door when it is turned on and obviously hot? There is a handle to open the oven. The oven is fitted into proper oven housing so I am not sure what you mean by not fitted properly. No one else has made any such comments and the guests who stayed before you did a lot of cooking (as in their review). But I will certainly get the oven checked out. The villa's electrics were completely rewired only 3 years ago so if there was a problem with the electric tripping I am not sure why you didn't contact someone while you were there. I give a local contact number in case of any problems. Also there is WiFi at the villa so you could have easily emailed me to say there was a problem but even when you returned home I heard nothing from you until this negative review. It is really disappointing when guests wait until they get home to leave a negative review rather than get any problems solved while they were there. I appreciate it is impossible to please all the people all of the time. But it is interesting to note that two previous bookings - who both stayed just before you - have both left glowing reviews of the property. The amount of repeat bookings I get would indicate everything is ok in the villa.

Pleased to hear you had a lovely holiday and you enjoyed the pool - it is much larger than most pools in villas. There are shops, restaurants, banks etc at Valle San Lorenzo which is about a kilometre away so an easy walk. There is a bus at the end of the road to go to the main resorts but as per my advert a car is recommended.

There is a solar cover for the pool which helps keep the water heated up but it does need to be put over the pool when the sun is out and left on over night so the heat doesn't disappear. Even without the solar cover the pool will be at least the same temperature as the sea and plenty of people swim in the sea throughout the winter months. The temperature in December this year was exceptionally warm and the water will always feel colder when you go in when the outside temperature is 29 degrees and the water only about 25. I was there myself early in December and used the pool. Pleased to hear your enjoyed the holiday and the villa which has lots of home comforts and now has free Wifi.
