The location is great, 1 block from the beach. There is no A/C. Ok for most days with a cool ocean breeze. Had a record hot spell for 2days, 85F and so a little warm at night

We waited 2 hours before we could get into our room as I didn’t receive the codes need to enter the premises or our room. It wasn’t flash but was clean & comfortable. The Manager was very accommodating & helpful in settling us into our room once we eventually gained access. There wasn’t any toilet paper available so we had to provide our own. Excellent location, limited timed parking is a bit annoying but we were lucky enough to get a free park out the front or just around the corner.

Room was clean. As there was availability, the property manager kindly upgraded me from a single to double room. But for $220 for one night I would have expected an ensuite. The view of the petrol station was noisy. Might search harder for another next time

Very disappointed with customer service. It was advertised that our room had a private bathroom and got here and there was no private bathroom- it was shared. We paid extra for the private. There was no one on reception due it covid but this was not advertised on any of the booking information.

Thank you for your review, none of our rooms are advertised as having private bathrooms... Guests are emailed day before advising of our check in procedure.. There is no paying extra for a private bathroom when none of our rooms advertise this.. you paid extra for a kitchenette in your room... We offered you a studio at our sister property but this refused!!!

It’s in a good position though parking is difficult. We had to move the car every two hours from 8am. Room is tiny. There were no blankets just a sheet and light cover so we had to keep the heater on all night as it’s the middle of winter. Ok for a quick overnight overall. Like a youth hostel.

Bien placé et agréable
Nous sommes arrivés après les horaires d’ouverture de l’accueil et le système mis en place pour récupérer les clefs de la chambre et top !! Un petit message au numéro affiché et une personne vous répond rapidement avec toutes les explications !!! Les salles de bain sont très propres, le lieu est agréable, les chambres sont bien équipé. Juste nos draps n’étaient pas très propres.... heureusement nous avions nos duvets. Mais c’est quand même une super auberge de jeunesse !!! Bien placé aussi

Not a guest house
This accommodation may be listed as a guest house, but it's a youth hostel full of backpackers/communal room and kitchen full of 18-year olds from the UK and Europe. If that's your thing, go ahead and book. If you want to stay in an actual guest house, I'd recommend booking somewhere else.

Didn't like requirement to photocopy drivers licence. Known this would not have stayed. Part way to identy theft. Bed collapsed not real happy

So clean. Very friendly lady at check in. Very helpful. Close to the beach. We would 100% stay here again. The place had character and not a standard run of the mill hotel room

Great location and clean rooms
The area is fantastic and the location is great, really close to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. The rooms are quite small though and you need to jump to get on/off the bed. Very clean, the communal kitchen was a plus for us.

Great but could be amazing
Great location and a nice feel to the place, with a few changes could be amazing! 1. rooms were tidy and comfortable but needed a deep clean as quite dusty 2. Air con needed as some rooms were far too hot 3. Bins in kitchen are too small so fill up very quickly with all the guests and have swarms of flies around them. 4. More staff needed! Jasmyn was amazing but literally didn't stop all day and seemed to be in charge of guests requests, bookings, front office, cleaning and managing the phones. 5. Lots of unnecessary extra charges. We stayed for just under a week and if we wanted our bed changed during this time, or a new towel, there was a large charge. Also checking in between 12-2 was extra, as was checking in past 5. We were quite shocked by all of this as we're used to paying a lot less money for hostels which try to accommodate all of the above and usually with no extra charge at all.

Thank you for your review.. 1. We will chase uo with housekeeping to ensure the cleaning is undertaken correctly.. 2. Air Conditioners will be installed to a number of rooms late 2019. 3. Bins are emptied twice during the day. 4. During the week we have limited staff as it is quiet, weekends we have 2-5 staff members working around the property.. 5. An extra towel is $2.50 you are already given a towel, we have a washing machine available for guests should you wish to wash your bedding otherwise if you stay 7 days or more we change your bedding and towels FREE of charge - to keep our room rates reasonable we do charge guests extra.. If you would like early check in there is a charge for staff to ensure that guests have checked out and rooms cleaned was a priority.. Check ins after 7pm do incur a fee as we are not 24hours and staff are needed to be called back to the property to check guests in.. We are not a Hostel and you will find you pay more for a room in a Hostel than what you paid for ours..

One night only
Very small room ideal for sleeping only and really ok for one night only. Location is great ground floor room was very quiet but could use a waste bin.

Great option for the price!
Great place for the price. Very comfortable bed and clean. Shared bathroom and a little noisy, but no complaints for the price. Great location too!

海に近くロケーションは良いです。チェックインもスムーズ。 ベットはギシギシ軋む二段のパイプベッドですが、 枕カバーもシーツもフレッシュな状態です。 日中は部屋にエアコンがない為部屋はサウナ状態。 前の人のおじさん臭が気になりました。 カーペットには、細かいゴミが。清潔とは言えません。 三日間滞在しましたが、その間、一度も部屋の掃除、タオルやシーツ類の交換はなし。 セイフティーボックス完備とありますが、部屋にセイフティボックスはありませんでした。 Wi-Fi無料とありますが、チェックイン時にWi-Fiのパスワードを聞くのを忘れ、 後で聞こうと思いましたが、殆どの時間宿に人がない為、事実上使用できませんでした。 チェックインからその日の夜までは何故か部屋の電源が使用できなく 同様に人がいない為、解決不可。（夜以降は使えるようになりました） これらはお願いすることができれば、ある程度改善できる可能性もありますが、 逆に言えば、デフォルトがこの状態だということです。 バス・トイレ共同で、1泊約9000円と決して安くない価格ですが、 それをどう考えるかだと思います。

Thank you for your misleading review!!! You booked a twin bunk room and yes it has a tubular bunk bed. The upstairs rooms are warm during summer and you are correct their is no air conditioning, but you face the Ocean and leaving the window and block out blinds closed will ensure that your room stays cool.. In all rooms is the wifi password or you could have asked Reception for the details.. Not sure what you are referring to regarding the power, our power never shuts off and during your stay there was no outage. We have an onsite manager who is available 24/7 should you have needed them.. We are located near the beach in Manly which is part of Sydney and prices here are high compared to other areas.. We wish you all the very best.. Next time please speak with Reception and we could have moved you to a cooler room and tried to make your stay more enjoyable!!

I was there for a very short time, but the room was clean and staff helpful. Some guests weren't very good at flushing the toilet in the shared bathroom facilities but otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay.

Lovely hotel and great location
Super comfortable bed, very clean and quiet rooms. Keiran and Louisa who run the hotel are lovely. Loads of toilets and showers so didn't have to queue once.

Spent the weekend in Manly staying at manly guest hotel. Very clean place. No hassle or noise during the night. The location is great. One block from the beach and 5 mins walking to Corso!!!

Rustic, communal and fun.
It's not 5 star, but, if you are looking for a cheap, comfortable stay and you don't mind sharing a bathroom, then the Manly Guest house is for you. Clean and a great, well equipped little communal kitchen. Brought back memories of those rustic cheap pensiones in Europe.

Great location
Great location to beach and ferry. Very clean. Only downside was no air conditioning. Besides that was awesome place to stay. Will stay again.

Die Nähe zum Strand ist schön.
Die Einrichtung ist schlicht, einfach, sauber und ausreichend. Die Betreiber sind sehr nett. Das Kennenlernen australischen Familienleben ist hier gegeben. Die Nähe zum Strand ist hier wunderbar. 2 bis 3 Minuten Fußweg.
