No hot water for whole stay
The property was perfectly nice - clean and tidy. Unfortunately when we got there, there was no water in the boiler. We had to fill the boiler and turn it on. It then turned out to be that the boiler was broken and we had no hot water. We contracted the number we were given for communication during the stay. We were told it would be fixed and the following day an engineer came out. He simply turned the thermostat to minimum and said it was fixed. This meant we just got cool water. I contacted the number again. As it was Easter bank holiday there was nothing more that could be done and we were offered no alternative. On return I asked for a partial refund (I would have been happy with 50%). I was told I hadn’t contacted the owner directly during the stay (even though I had contacted the property manager who I was told to use as my contact) so he could only offer £50. I wouldn’t stay again as I like to have a shower on holiday!
