The hotel is really nice and we can recommend it, but we had our two year old with us and we would not recommend the hotel if you have a young child or a baby with you. For instance, we wanted to make a snack for a two year old and we were unable to borrow a knife from the restaurant because it’s not associated with the hotel, even though it’s located within the hotel, and the hotel wasn’t able to provide us with a knife neither because they do not have a restaurant. Amazing location if you want to be central for sightseeing, and for the cable car, which makes it easy to get around. The hotel has a club’y-kinda-vibe with loud music and an extremely expensive restaurant, which is not associated with the hotel, but it’s just located at the hotel. The valet “system” worked good, and the service was really good, but extremely expensive. $65 per day/night excluding everything!

Hello Morten, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. While we do not have metal cutlery our front desk should have offered a plastic knife or given you one from our amenity closet. I'm sorry for our lapse in service.We will make sure to use your feedback to make our front desk agents aware of the options.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kimpton Alton. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel is in a great location. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, great beds and pillows and a wonderful shower. If we return to San Francisco we will definitely stay there again.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable and had super friendly staff. It’s in a relatively safe part of the city. Having lived here in the past, it is not the most exciting area, but it was a good spot to stay for a low-key trip.

Very nice hotel. Overall exceed our expectations, especially their breakfast! Crab scramble, blueberry pancake, breakfast plates are all AMAZING! Staffs are great and helpful. Room is fine nothing special. The heater is a bit too loud but bearable. Will definitely come back again! Missing the breakfast already!

Great area and very walkable to Fisherman’s Wharf, local restaurants and shops. No coffee maker in the room, although coffee is offered in the morning in the lobby. We ended up going out for a good cup of coffee. Parking is expensive at $70 per night. No pool or hot tub. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location of this hotel is great. The restaurant and bar is good too. The only complaint I have is the parking. The hotel has a small parking lot but we have to pay for valet parking a total of $70 per day . It’s ridiculous. $40 hotel fee and $30 for “city fee”. All other hotels don’t charge this city fee and is much lower. If you can park in the garage lot and save some $$$.

I loved that they had a yoga mat available. The vibes were off as soon as they didn't recognize my status as nice as they were about it. I even (right place right time) walked by when they were on the phone likely with the management who called about my comment about not receiving the updgrade. The room was nice and the bed was comfy, the shower was great. The staff I dealt with were friendly. My room wasn't cleaned on the last day and even some take out I had was left in the hall the entire day! Having a record player is cute but I would have preferred in room coffee.

Loved social hour, hot cider with bourbon is my new favourite. Loved the area, F-line next to the hotell and two cable car lines two blocks away. Great stay!

Checking in at midnight was a breeze. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Room was clean, quiet and A/C was working great. Linens, towels and plenty pillows! Hair dryer & make-up application mirror in the room. Beautiful hotel within walking distance to the pier and many shops, restaurant and activities. Stored luggage while we enjoyed the city. I would recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and updated. The bathroom was clean and new. The staff was friendly. There is free coffee in the morning downstairs and a happy hour in the afternoon. The hotel restaurant was also very nice and food was delicious. There is valet parking and a parking structure just a few yards away too. It was a very comfortable stay.

피어39까지 도보로 이동하기 좋고 무엇보다 호텔 주변이 관광객이 많아서 안전합니다. 룸도 넓은 편이고 깨끗합니다. 샌프란시스코를 다시 방문하게 되면 또 머무를 것 같습니다.
