Receptionist was pleasent when I arrived. The Room was excellent.Very clean.I ordered an Angus rump steak meal on room service. It was the best steak I have had for ages and I suspect was a bigger piece then advertised .Ive stayed at the Explorer Inn before and will be staying there in the future again.

The bed was falling to the outside of the bed. All night I felt like I was going to roll out of it

Having to get a friend to come get the key because after 8pm you can not get a key for your room, there is no lock box or anything for after hours. we were lucky to have a friend in the town as we would not have got a refund for the room, also there was no microwave in the rooms and myself and the people next door to us had kids to and we needed to heat up there veggies for dinner and there bottles. The sheets on our beds had stains on them.

Hi Jessica, Reception hours are clearly shown on wotif web site. Likewise you chose the cheapest room to book which clearly indicates room inclusions. Microwaves are available in over 50% of our rooms. Book direct and you wouldn't have these problems. Cheers, Richard. JILL GORDON & RICHARD CONDON

No sink plug, no toaster, no comfortable chairs in the room. No drink service to the table in the restaurant - needed to go to the bar and carry your own drinks back to the table. Small, thoughtful changes would make this an excellent facility. French bar staff were great.

Thanks for your comments David and Lyn. I am sure you are aware of the lack of suitable staff in the Hospitality Industry and we are very short staffed. Drinks table service will return once we have the staff.Sink plugs have a bad habit of disappearing and replacement here in the outback takes time. A very large bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Bedrooms were a good size also. Parking was directly outside unit and the area was quiet. The downside was no working batteries in any remote controls for television. Also no dish liquid supply or dish cloth.

Called ahead to let them know I would be arriving after hours. I was told the door would be unlocked and key inside and was sent a text explaining this as well, only to arrive at 8pm to a locked door and several calls to an unattended after hours number. As I decided to leave when at the motel driveway I saw a staff member on a golf cart who helped me out. Quite stressful after driving 6 hours.

Thanks Lee we are well aware of the problem. The staff member who put your key in the room, inadvertently locked the door on leaving. We only have one phone number 24/7 not sure about an after hours number. We do apologise for the unfortunate error by our new staff member. Regards Richard

Excellent. Loved the room size, the ginormous towels, coffee machine. There was even a non slip mat in the bathroom. Will definitely stay here again.
