I've stayed here several times before when heading south from Denver. It's always charming, comfortable, reasonably priced and friendly. One of my favorite places to stay in NM when taking a road trip. :)

Loved it! Good vibes and good fun. We had a great stay and owners are very accomodating and welcoming! Loved our room, such a nice change from the sterile vibe of standard hotels.

A unique motor inn with a great history. We stayed here last year and learned some interesting facts about the history. Staff is very friendly and quick to give advice on places to eat. All rooms have a theme. The reception site is a virtual museum of old items that reflect life from the 50's and forward. Highly recommend.

Why stay anywhere else in Raton but at the Raton Pass Motor Lodge? It is so quiet and dark, so much nicer than on Motel Row. The rooms are very cool with great artifacts.

Reasonably priced, great staff, and close to the freeway. Each room at this motel is themed; mine was WWII. Extremely creative, beautiful room with all the amenities, and very well taken care of. Owners take a lot of pride in this property and it shows. The best stay I've had in years.

A delight beyond compare
A rare ‘diamond in the rough’ among locally owned lodgings. Each room uniquely appointed per retro themes with authentic decor. Keen attention to detail. Immaculately clean. I have traveled around the world. Value for money and a delight beyond compare in little Raton, NM.

Vintage and friendly
I was overly impressed by the communication from the owners of this motel. They communicated about road closures and how to get there easily. We arrived after hours, and the owner was still there. He came to say hi to us upon our arrival. They have the cutest office area with drinks and light snacks for breakfast. The lobby was vintage, my son and I enjoyed looking at all the memorabilia. We are looking forward to staying here again

Our stay in Raton Pass Motor Inn was great. We did a late check in and called ahead to let them know. They texted us the instructions for our self check in which were clear and easy. The place was easy to find and the room was comfortable and clean. They had a continental breakfast in the morning which was nice.

Will come again.
You can tell the owners have a lot of pride in their business. The front office/eating area is like a mid-century museum full of antiques and interesting items. Our room was decorated beautifully, comfortable bed, good selection for continental breakfast.

Great Overnight Stay in Raton
We chose this property because of so many positive reviews. It did not disappoint. It was easy to find, and we were warmly greeted by the owners. It is modest - don’t come here looking for a high end hotel environment. The rooms were clean, and had cute decor, and it was quiet. Our needs were met for an overnight stay. There are coffee, teas, and snacks available for guests in the morning. We will stop here again next time we do overnight in Raton.

Quirky place with great hosts.
Absolutely loved this place - old-style motel with updated and themed rooms. Michael and Brandy are great hosts - could not have been more welcoming, directed us to local restaurants, made things easy for us after a long day of driving. And the beds are super comfortable.
