Adorable space, responsive host, chickens!
For a woodsy getaway close to real highways, here’s your spot. A good home base for local activities. Cute not chic, clean and functional. Chickens and goats on the property added a great farm with no work charm.

Disturbing noises
In the middle of the night there were disturbing noises in the room behind this studio apartment. It sounded like someone was trying to break through the door into my sleeping space. I left mid-way in between my stay and moved to a hotel.

The other side is my laundry that goes to my kitchen. No one but me and my kids are in the house. I was concerned when I heard of it because if there was an intruder we could had been in danger or injured. As far as I know our property is secured, we feel safe and also our guests.

Cute shabby chic studio out in the country
This is an adorable shabby chic studio, filled with vintage furniture and antiques. The green door is the first floor (basement) of a family home. Appartment has updated stove and fridge. There are chickens and goats on the property, and the chickens will greet you every time you walk out your window! The bath is a little more shabby than chic, and is located in the entryway area. Enjoyable escape from the real world.

My first VRBO stay
Looked cute and handy online, was sort of tidy inside but it’s a run down property overall. We had two main complaints: it was difficult to log into the network because of a password spelling issue. The last email I had from the host who was away, finally gave us the right one, all because of one letter! Our main issue though was that the place was very musty. It was obviously formerly a basement. This is bad for allergy sufferers as well as all your clothes which wind up smelling musty. Goats and chickens were cute.

Place is as described. Easy access to all kinds of activities. Our stay was for few nights so that we can ride a portion of the Empire State rail trail. It was quiet area for rest. Chickens & goats were cute. A fan as an option in the room would have made it a bit more comfortable since there is no A/C.

Maria, I apologize for the inconvenience. I completely forgot to leave the fan for you. I left for the weekend and turn the a/c off. If you had mentioned it I would've sent someone to leave a fan on your door. The studio is usually the coolest place in the house. I hope to host you again and make it right.

Perfect for my extended weekend
Check in was super easy even though I didn't arrive until close to midnight. Everything was clean and there were tons of pamphlets of things to do in the area if you aren't orginally from here. I did not bring my hair dryer with me and wish there was one available, luckily my hair dries quickly, but if you use one you'll need to bring it with you. Having a kitchen made it easy to cook meals in and avoid spending extra money on eating out. The location was perfect, it is very close to the Taconic that made my commute to and from the airport painless.

Pet allergy sufferers beware
We liked the location and scenery but that’s about it. Place smelled of cat urine, cold ( no temp control), bathroom rugs very dirty and grimy. No iron available, we were told to buy one or get services elsewhere. Host was nice enough but very little attention to guest basic needs. Check in was good but difficult to find in the dark and host not responsive in a timely manner.

Thank you for your review. But bathroom rugs are not dirty nor stained. You forgot to mention that you checked in at midnight. I responded your text first time in the morning. Even though iron is not one of the amenities listed I will consider buying one. Humidity was caused by the constant rain, I apologize for that. We have farm animals and pets as described in the list but they are not allowed at the studio.

Beautiful setting, gracious owners and lots of privacy and solitude. Extremely nice host family introduced us (at our request) to their goats, chickens and dogs, all in spacious pens. We fell in love with their baby goat.

Quiet cottage

Lovely studio
The studio was cozy and everything was clean. My girlfriend and I had a blast and the goats are very cute. Location is also excellent for hiking and exploring the Hudson valley.

Christmas visit

relaxing
we did not have great weather; nevertheless ,the stay was very enjoyable. the two little girls that live in big house were awesome and fun to talk to. You can walk in the woods directly behind the house. 11 chickens, 5 or 6 goats, a friendly cat and dog what more can you ask for.

Lovely country apartment

Great getaway
What a delightful experience. The studio was just as described in the listing and was exactly what I was looking for - a quiet, secluded place I could return to after each day's activities within a 60 mile perimeter. The Marisa and her family we wonderful hosts. The farm was a welcomed feature - geese, chickens, goats and a sweet dog. I am looking forward to returning next year. Highly recommended

A Great Place to Stay!
From the moment we pulled up the driveway we felt the warmth of 356 Rossway Road. We were greeted by three lovely dogs, we could see the family goats, and hear the honking of two Chinese guard geese! The studio is comfortable and well equipped for a relaxing stay in the Hudson Valley area. Just off the northbound Taconic Parkway, it has easy access to the area sights, shopping and food, but is wonderfully tucked back off the main road and very quiet. From the stainless steel refrigerator to the stove and coffee maker, there is everything you need to cook in if you prefer.

Wonderful stay, perfect location & great host .
Marisa was so welcoming and accommodating. We chose the location because it was close to local attractions and what the studio offered. It had everything one would need and place was very clean. Bonus for me was that parking was right next to the entrance since I have some mobility issues and there were no stairs in the studio. We will definitely go back again this year. Overall highly recommended.
