Thomas You had asked to cancel just a couple of days prior to his arrival and told me a close relative had just passed in the family. I did not hesitate to allow your cancelation. In knowing I had a few more days I started some projects around the house which Included shutting water off. Then I got a call asking to keep the reservation, the day before arrival. I wanted to say no ,but in talking with you and bringing up how hectic things were and your wife was being that a little space away might be the best idea. I replied by stating that the cozy quiet place would probably would be a good idea away from all that was happening back at home. So I said sure no problem. I had already started on projects around house and required water to be shut off. I texted at 3:16 pm day of your arrival stating that I was heading to house to clean that it take me a couple few hours. You replied, via phone call, that you were now in Daytona, about 20 mins. Away with some friends and I said," please drag your feet," knowing that there was still laundry being washed. Then a short time after you arrived I was bewildered and only half way finished. I suggested a few local close places to watch the beautiful sunset. As it was approaching. I just put on on pillow protectors and was about to pull pillow cases and bedspreads from dryer and they pulled up. So to get out of there way I suggested I would refund 50.00 for inconvenience of putting the last few pillow cases on in 2nd bedroom. Also to take as long as they wanted to check out knowing the next guest was not going to be checking in right away. I do apologize and I also do know how at this time of your lives that small things can get blown up. The very next day I checked in asking if anything was needed and I was figuring out how to give refund. I did refund back to you 50.00 not sure if VRBO didn't but should of since the payment never got posted til 2 days after you had already checked out. And ad far as coffee maker, there is one sitting on counter next to toaster and up in cabinet above sink marked reas,coffee ,sugars ect.. was a French press. I tried tried to do the right thing .
