I have been to NY several times and never stayed at a hotel right on Time Square (a block up). So I wanted to try RIU Manhattan Time Square. The hotel was nice and the staff was simply AMAZING and very accommodating. Each time I called to the front desk, I was greeted with such pleasantry and the simple items I requested was immediately sent to my room. The room was nice but really small and the walls seemed as though they were paper thin as you can hear people through the walls and down the hallway easily. Additionally, I read the reviews about breakfast time and getting downstairs EARLY to prevent the long wait. Also, I didnt like the fact that since we were only 2; they skipped over us to seat those who were a party of 4 or more. I felt this wasnt fair. So the couple behind us we just teamed up to make 4 so we could be seated and not continually skipped. THE THING THAT MADE ALL OF THE NOT SO GOOD THINGS TOLERABLE.........WAS THE STAFF!!!! KUDOS TO THEM!!!!!! They were amazing, courteous, helpful, friendly and accommodating from beginning to the end of our stay. For that I am thankful!!
