Staff was nice. When checking in we were given a lower floor room. I asked for a higher floor and she was able to accommodate me. We didn't have any other reason to interact with staff.
It was pretty clean, except for a couple of things here and there. Area was not bad, a little strange. A block on one side you have Vanderbilt U and Ruth's Chris steakhouse, one block to the other side some run down buildings. But safe, walkable.
The hotel has attached parking structure. $36/day! Ouch. It does have a bar in the lobby and a "happy hour" which I didn't understand: live music but didn't notice any discounts.
It does need a renovation though: carpet on hallway and room is coming off its padding, all wrinkled and someone can trip if they're not paying attention. Blind in our room was broken and pretty obvious (sideways!). Lamp shade broken, hanging to its side (again, obvious). Toilet paper holder broken. Toilet seat broken.
