My recent stay at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, left much to be desired, particularly in terms of dining experience at their Vista restaurant. For example, some of the main dishes were left at the end of the table, and we had to help ourselves; desserts were served without clearing the mains’ dishes; desserts were served without spoons; for breakfast while, some guests were given extra attention others were not attended even after repeated requests, we were given a table with previous guests used glasses and had to request 3 different people for water even after highlighting our child is thirsty, etc. Despite efforts made by the management to address concerns raised during our stay (such as having to wait for hours after arrival within the designated check-out time for our two interconnected rooms), the service quality at Vista Restaurant remained poor. The menu choices were limited and uninspiring, and the overall dining experience fell short of the standards we have come to expect from Taj properties. Even my young daughter expressed dissatisfaction with the food, making meal arrangements outside the hotel necessary throughout our stay. Additionally, the hotel failed to address the issue of clearing food trays from the corridors outside the rooms promptly (the food stayed in the corridors for over 12 hours on some occasions, and we showed the director of rooms those pictures). It smelled bad often in the corridors.

Taj does hospitality like no other brand. Fantastic staff, great food and breakfast. Great location for access to airport, Khar, Bandra, and south Bombay. We loved our stay and will certainly return. The building is a tad dated, but everything else is spectacular.

I got food poisoning at the restaurant on the second night. They also charge you extra for a child over 12 when you get there instead of fixing the issue

The hotel offers a luxurious experience with a superb location, courteous ground staff, comfortable beds, stunning rooms and bathrooms, excellent toiletries, and an amazing breakfast. However, there are some not so good things. The in-room service is slow and occasionally unresponsive, with frequent issues of calls going unanswered. The food, although expensive, is often of poor taste and quality. And despite providing feedback to the manager, there seemed to be no significant action taken to address concerns. Additionally, as a gold Expedia member, there was no upgrade or special offer provided.

Amazing hotel with lovely staff who are always there to help with anything especially the housekeeping who were efficient with keeping everything fully replenished. Our housekeeper Kajal was great and went above and beyond. The buffet breakfast had a great variety and could also order a la carte items such as Eggs Benedict and French toast on request. The hotel lobby was also a standout for us and was nice to chill after a long day exploring with a drink in the lobby bar and enjoy the live music.

J'ai bénéficié d'un prix réduit, mais pour les clients payant des tarifs plus élevés, je ne suis pas certaine que cet hôtel puisse être considéré comme ayant un bon rapport qualité-prix. Le Taj Lands End est un bel hôtel un peu défraîchi et à la décoration un peu démodée et/usée: les tapis dans le hall et certaines lampes ou housses de coussins/revêtements ont grandement besoin d'être changés. Attention, les chambres n'étaient prêtes à l"heure du check in. Prévoyez un possible temps d'attente poucant aller jusqu'à 45 mn. Les animations dans le hall et le café Vista sont assez bruyantes, ce qui rend difficile de trouver un endroit paisible pour se détendre si vous devez attendre que votre chambre soit prête. Au café Vista, l'une des principales attractions est la vue sur la mer. Demandez bien à être placés en hauteur près des fenêtres pour bien profiter de la vue. Le buffet pour le petit déjeuner est varié et délicieux. Le hall dispose d'un centre d'affaires que je n'ai pas essayé. Les chambres ont des côtés modernes (prises USB multiples, panneau de contrôle, système d'ouverture de rideaux automatique, belle insonorisation) et aussi des choses à améliorer: Propreté, le coffre fort ne marchait pas, on aperçoit de nombreuses marques de doigts ou autres sur les murs, les vitres ou les portes, les poignées de porte sont mal mises, télé à l'ancienne avec chaînes cablées). The location is unbeatable - easy access to the airport, Worli Sea Link, Linking Road shopping and restaurants, and more. Service is first class. The rooms seemed a little dated though - time for an upgrade! Also, we paid for a club room, and nobody explained the amneties that we could have used - the club room, workout area, and more. We also didn’t need to airport pickup, but the staff was pretty uncooperative about giving us the flexibility to use that service to go somewhere other than the airport.

Great but not for light sleepers
The hotel location is very central. The hotel is a very busy hotel. The hotel is very clean and elegant. The check in took a long time, the lobby was freezing they had strong air conditioning from the ceiling, I had to wait outside until my checkin process was complete. Room service was great, bed and pillows good. BUT if you’re a light sleeper this is not your hotel. I can hear everything from every corner the next door room and the corridor and the stomping of feet on the top floor, there was also a lot of parties going on in the rooms. Other than the poor sound proofing, this hotel is great.

Fantastic stay
Had a fantastic stay at the Taj Lands End. The staff was extremely good from the time of check-in to check-out. Our children enjoyed feeding the rabbits and playing in the gardens. We all had a very good time
