Charming little cottage in the woods
We loved it here and would come back. The house had everything we needed: good coffee, soaps, lotion, Kleenex, laundry detergent, a well stocked kitchen. My only beef was there was a situation with the laundry where it wouldn’t drain due to a blockage (that hopefully will be resolved for the next person). The owner was very responsive and came to fix/clean it up right away. The house was very clean except for some cobwebs on the vaulted ceiling and some dust. If you have kids, you may want to move some of the items to higher shelves so they don’t break though. My kids just couldn’t leave some of the decor alone but they are young. Loved the attention to detail and all the antique finds. The huge collection of old National Geographic magazines was fun to look through.

Nice quaint cottage
Old quaint cottage with lots of character. well supplied with everything you need. There are two bedrooms but only a downstairs bathroom. The stairs are very creaky so it's very loud going down them at night.

Beautyful House
This house is very beautyful and quiet. We really enjoyed to come „home“ over the Golden Gate Bridge after visiting San Francisco. Kitchen , terasse with grill, hummingbirds in the garden wifi , cool, furnitures…, we loved it!

Lovely chalet getaway!
Great little chalet and getaway for our family of four! Yasmine was wonderful to work with and the house was homey and had so many wonderful touches and amenities. Beautiful green views and cozy beds and spaces. Slight damp/“moof” smell in house and especially downstairs in laundry room, but fans moved the air and it was fine. Galley kitchen is small but we managed fine and wood dining table chairs are small and hard/non-cushioned. Some games for older teens/adults would be nice to add. Trash/recycling is a bit of work to figure out, but no big deal. Driveway is tricky but we managed fine. Short drive to downtown Mill Valley, Muir Woods, etc. Walk through neighborhood to Bob’s Donuts (amazing!) & Tam Junktion (the cutest vintage store!). Thanks for a great, revitalizing week away in your lovely chalet! :-)

Cozy Cottage
We loved our stay. The owners were super helpful and responsive. The home has all the amenities you need to settle in and feel at home. Home has a 60s feel with many upgrades. We loved all the trees and plants surrounding the property. Neighbors are close but tucked away in the evergreen. Quite neighborhood. The road is a bit narrow. We had a big SUV and were able to maneuver the driveway just fine. Upstairs bed is comfortable, downstairs bed is a bit hard. Our kids asked if we could just stay here forever. We promised them another visit in the future. I would highly recommend this property!!!

Perfect Mill Valley home
We loved staying at this home to visit our family. The beds were comfortable and it was so peaceful to be in the trees. It is in the middle of Mill Valley and close to stores and restaurants. It is also close to San Francisco and my kids' favorite activities including Slide Ranch and Chrissy Field. I loved walking from the home down to the bike path for a walk/run. The neighborhood is quiet and of course it is always nice to have a parking spot. We hope to stay here again!

Quaint chalet with charm
We stayed here during our stay to San Francisco. We are from Pennsylvania so we wanted a place that made us feel at home and not a hotel room. This home fit the mold completely! Nestled in the hills and around nature we had a little piece of PA with us! Upon our arrival, a doe and her two fawns greeted us in the yard and we fell in love with them and the house before even entering. Inside the pictures online look exactly as it did in person, which is always a good thing! Yasmine was very accommodating and communication was superb! I recommend this place to anyone looking to stay close to San Francisco but not right in the city. Only thing to keep mind of is that the street is very narrow to get up to the house and we had a minivan that was hard to get into the driveway with, but we did it and would never deter is from staying here again!

Great cottage in Mill Valley
We really enjoyed the natural setting, yet really close to central Mill Valley and easy to get to San Francisco. Very comfy, warm (we stayed in December), and excellent wifi.

Location is close to most of places in Marin and SF. 10 min to downtown Mill Valley, 7 min to Whole Foods on Miller Ave. Interior of the house are up for description. We would stay here on another occasion.

We stayed at Yasmine's property while in town for a wedding. The location was very convenient to events in Mill Valley and surrounding areas and the house is very charming. The separation of the two bedrooms upstairs and down was perfect for our party. The house was clean and well stocked for cooking in. Check in instructions were very clear.

Very quaint home.
We had a very relaxing and peaceful time. The home is tucked away but close to everything at the same time. We were able to travel to the beaches, forests, or fast food restaurants within 10-30 minutes. Beds were clean and comfortable. It’s an older home and that’s what makes it so charming. It is very well kept. There’s charming outside seating to enjoy the sounds of nature and the wonderful smell of the trees. The neighbors aren’t noisy which was great! The owners were wonderful and provided us with thorough instructions along with all of their contact information just in case we needed them. Oh…… there is a window in the floor of the upstairs master room that looks down into the bathroom. We were able to throw a little blanket over it just to give some extra privacy, so it wasn’t a big deal for us. But we had an amazing stay. We would definitely return. Thanks

Loved it!
This is a charming cottage like property near downtown Mill Valley that me and my parents loved. We stayed here for my sisters wedding. It was clean, comfortable, and thankfully it was cool inside because of the weather. This place probably gets really hot during warm days so I would not stay here during the rare hot days we have in the Bay Area.

Cozy Cottage close to great hikes!
This cottage was a great place to stay for areas in and outside of San Francisco. It is within walking distance of the Mill Valley-Sausalito path for those who like an exercise trail. It's a 10-15 minute drive to Muir Woods, the Golden Gate Bridge overlook points or Point Bonita Lighthouse, which all have beautiful trails and hikes to take. The days we went in to San Francisco we easily found parking ahead of time using a parking app to pre-book a spot and used public transportation to get around. There are several restaurants and grocery stores within 5 minutes of the property. And an ice cream shop in town that was yummy. When we were done for the day we had a cozy little hideaway to relax and rest before the next day's adventure.

Fair Consideration
The house was great, however we were not able to stay our final night because of the PG&E power outages to deter the chance of wildfire. In fairness the owner returned some of our rental fee, and also suggested we get travel insurance to help cover these kinds of unforseen events. We will definitely do this when next traveling to the area in late summer and fall.

Great place to visit The Bay area
This house has a great location to easily move to SF and to the surrounding attractions and places of interest. It made life easier for us during our visit as we knew we could be in 15-20 minutes to nearby beaches, the Golden Gate park, etc. The house has all the amenities required for a pleasant stay. My daughters really enjoyed the puzzle and being outside while we prepared dinner. They were quite happy when we found the popcorn machine. The downside was that the house wasn't very clean with many dusty places. However, we didn't let that bother us much.

Lovely house in a charming town.
My exact rating is 4 and 1/2 stars, but I had to round up. I'll start with a few crticisms: -the stairs between the main floor and the loft are not child friendly at all. There is no kind of barrier on one side, which made us very nervous that our son would fall through and really hurt himself. -the owner forgot to send me the welcome email with details on accessing the apartment. When we arrived and realized we could not get in, I tried emailing, texting, and calling the owner, with no luck. After waiting half an hour, I contacted VRBO and they were able to find the key code in their system, and we could get in. The owner called about ten minutes after we got in, and apologized. It was an honest mistake, but caused a fair bit of stress for my family. -needs more mugs and utensils Now, the good stuff: The house is lovely and cozy. The amenities were nice. Delicious coffee, a wide variety of teas, plenty of towels, hot water in the showers. The washer and dryer are MASSIVE. Two separate lounge spaces allowed plenty of room to do your own thing if you have a group. The yard is very lovely and woodsy. We saw deer on two occasions, which was a special treat for my Australian in-laws. The town is cute. I recommend Joe's Taco Lounge. Overall, we had a great time here! Thanks, Yasmine!

An EXCELLENT location, home, setting, property owner
Our family (myself, husband and 2 teenage daughters) had the pleasure of staying at Yasmine's "cottage" for 3 nights in June. Our experience could not have been better. The cottage is spotlessly clean, comfortable, homey, and in the perfect location for access to San Francisco, the wine country, or day trips to nearly national parks and forests. We spent a day biking and exploring in Golden Gate National Park; another day at a Giants baseball game/downtown San Fran) and several afternoons/mornings walking around Mill Valley (what a wonderful community, great choice of restaurants, shops, etc....be sure to have coffee and waffles at the Equator!); and an evening drive up the coast towards Stinson Beach (be sure not to miss the Muir Woods Overlook--about halfway between Mill Valley and Stinson). Our only regret was not having longer to stay and enjoy the space. Yasmine was incredibly helpful and responsive to all our questions and requests. I can't imagine a better place if you are looking for a home-away-from-home in a setting that is quiet and relaxing, and at the same time completely accessible to San Francisco and the surrounding Northern California area. Wonderful home away from home!
My family and I had a wonderful experience at Yasmine's beautiful home. Mill Valley is lovely and has so much to offer. The home is super close to the Muir Woods National Monument, totally worth a day trip. The house is well stocked with essentials. It is cozy and clean. I would recommend a stay here due to the wonderful ammenities of the home, it's convenient location, and easy communication with the owner.

Charming and quiet in great spot
We stayed at the house for 6 days with my family of 5. We used the house as a base as we explored San Franciso and Marin County, and the location is perfect to do either. Its an old house, but has everything you need and is in good order. My only regret is having such a hectic schedule when we were there. I wish I had time to simply kick back and relax in the charming and calming surroundings of the house itself. I could see myself living here for a much longer period... Thanks to Yasmine who was proactive in inquiring if we had everything we needed.

Beautiful Mill Valley Cottage
My family and I had an amazing stay here during Thanksgiving and we couldn’t have loved this place more and the fact that it reminded us exactly like our grandparents beach house the we no longer own made it very special. From the cottage look and the moss covered roof to the warm homey feeling the inside gives you and the big outside deck where you can sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful Northern California nature that surrounds the house. I HIGHLY recommend booking this home for any occasion plus with the city only ten minutes away, Stinson Beach which is only a little drive through the redwoods straight out of Mill Valley and every kind of eatery/restaurant within short distance this place couldn’t be any more perfect!

Quiet relaxing place
We stayed three nights at the cottage and really enjoyed our stay. It's a very clean, comfortable place with lots of windows looking out at trees and nature, with large decks off the main entrance and the master bedroom. Upstairs is a cozy space with a comfortable bed big enough for two. Had no trouble finding the place or parking in the attached carport. Kitchen a bit small but certainly fine considering all the food options nearby. Place heated up really quickly on cool nights and also had a nice large bathroom with two sinks. Super quiet at night as there is almost no traffic on the street after dark. Lots of nice touches like plenty of clean towels, super clean sheets and bedding, some coffee for us upon arrival etc. And Yasmine was quick to respond to every little note. All in all, a very nice place in Mill Valley.

Cozy respite for a family of 5 (husband, wife, mother in law, and two kids, 11 & 14)
This house is great! Great light, private and close to trees and nature. I highly recommend this home. We were in town for our wedding at the Headlands Center for the Arts. We had our two kids with us and my mother. It was great to return every night and get cozy again in the well attended bedrooms and living spaces of this vacation rental. The rooms are designed with care including linen, cotton and down bedding throughout. The owner offered to let us check in early and when we were running late on the last day, she let us check out a bit late. She left us coffee and biscotti upon arrival. The kids were entertained by Netflix and we were able to cook a few meals in the well supplied kitchen, which saved us a little money. If you need to be near Sausalito, Mill Valley or the surrounding area, this is a fantastic rental!

Beautiful and peaceful
After reading the last one star review of this property and realizing we were the guests that stayed here immediately before this guest, I felt compelled to counter this review. First of all, Yasmine was absolutely a dream to work with, from booking to the return of our deposit. She responds rapidly and answers all your questions. Anything that was out of the ordinary, such as the outside access to the basement room and the steep driveway, she disclosed before we even booked. We found the kitchen accommodations more than adequate, dishwasher working and clean dishes and plenty of supplies. We had no issues with hot water and we had five of us staying there. There was a loose stair to the loft but it was by no means unsafe. Beds are very comfortable! We loved the beautiful area, close to the coast and Muir Woods and Sausalito. I cannot believe anything was so bad right after we left to merit a one star rating. I hope potential renters will consider all other information provided when making a decision to book this home.

Beautiful pictures but non working , undesirable reality
I wish I could give a 5 star to this home like other reviews, but I believe it won't be fair to potential renters. I travel a lot and 90% of the time rent Homes, very familiar and knowledagble about reasonable standard of the vacation home. I also understand , sometimes things go wrong at the same time. But I cannot accept miss representation, and excuses and miss Managment of the owner, who neglected to check the workability and cleanness of the home. My suggestion ; People are not interested in why things are not working and what might be a possibale cause, they like to get service and solution . So pls keep in mind for future and stay on topic. Hopefully they will fix these soon : Non working dishwasher, uncleaned dishes inside cabinate, non working dryer.( washer works but relay on nature instead of dryer) Unequiped kitchen one Useable pot, not enough cups and forks and spoons, sticky old and unsanitary pans, ... ( they can spend under 100.00 to get nice pots and clean pans, with enough forks and cups,..., ) Pictures of the house , advertised as a mid centurey clean home, but Instead old tired heavily used furniture and un comfortable mattress , but clean Beds and towels . Lots of windows and lights, but no shades .... so be ready to be forced to weakup at 5:40am! They advertise 3 bedrooms, but the basement room is a storage that has a bed and hardwood floor , smells bad, very short ceiling, no access to bathroom , is out side the main house, no insulation , open to the cruel space under the house , and old Lundry room So false representation!!! The stairs inside the house needs repair, unstable and unsafe . Owner , seems friendly but instead of focusing on resolving the problems, keep reminding you of organic soap and ,or a brown bag treat that they provided as a welcome treat( coffee and biscuit ) She always respond with 3-4 pages of text !!? Nothing helpful, just selfcongragulating instead of getting to point and fix things or offer solutions ,.... But at least she recognized and accepted the issues and she accepts that she should have not put this for rent , before fixing and cleaning . First miss representation, then finding yourself at a kitchen with non working dishwasher , not so clean dishes and used old sponge on the sink ,next to of course , organic dish soap !? When I texted her of no hot water, she texted me pages of possibale causes , no solution and reminded me to be great full of other positive thing about the house !

We’ve rented this home for over 2 years received 7 reviews, all 5 star. We’ve rented our other vacation property vrbo #467609 in Sausalito for 4 years, received 43 reviews, every single one is 5 star. We enjoy a high number of repeat guests and take great personal pride in offering the best experience for all travelers. For potential guests, we recommend you please read the other reviews on this property and #467609. Hopefully it will alleviate any concerns. Not quite sure what happened for this guest that was so markedly different from all the others. We do know that the morning of her arrival, she requested an early check-in. Unfortunately we were not able to accommodate that this time because our last guest had just departed and the professional cleaning crew was coming in. We also know we started receiving texts from this guest just an hour after arriving. We responded right away each time, and we didn't hear back, so we followed up with a call and an offer to come over in person. The reply we received was curt. The dishwasher and dryer both worked for us and our maids after the guest left. Same for the hot water. We inventoried all dishware, it serves 8-12 people. Kitchen is stocked with extensive cookware and appliances such a Cuisinart coffee maker, popcorn machine and luxury items including Heath Ceramic coffee mugs. We can get some more pots and pans - no problem, and will also upgrade the dishwasher. The squeak on one step will be fixed too - it might be aggravating, but certainly not unsafe. All furnishings, mattresses, pillows, Libeco Belgian linen bedding and Coyuchi organic towels were purchased brand new 2 years ago. There are several extra sleeping pillows (firm, medium, soft) for our guests to select from. As noted on listing, the basement bedroom is just that - a bonus room. It has a queen bed, new mattress, hardwood floors, closet, window, and central heating. But since room is in the basement next to laundry room and storage, it’s why the home is priced for 4 guests (but can sleep up to 6 should someone just need an extra bed). We took time to explain this and ask the guest about their needs before accepting their booking, but received no reply. We will continue to provide extra personal touches. We leave a supply of EO organic shampoos, soaps, lotions for our guests along with a welcome gift of coffee and treat from our favorite coffee shop. Please reach out in person if you have any particular concerns. Your hosts.

Absolutely stunning and so peaceful!
Yasmine's place was exactly what we were looking for. It slept 3 people (one couple) very comfortably, and having the washer/dryer was a huge plus. Parking was easy as was getting into town and getting to grocery stores. We went out for a writing retreat, and found the place incredibly peaceful and inspiring. Can't wait to book our next trip!

Amazing peaceful home
I stayed at Yasmine's home over the Thanksgiving holiday with my children. We had a wonderful time and it the home was just as promised. The beds were so comfortable. Soaps were delightfully sweet smelling. I used the kitchen to cook Thanksgiving dinner for my four children. All the equipment I needed was there. Yasmine has created a very peaceful well decorated environment for our stay. Thank you. I hope we can come back one day to Mill Valley. It is a wonderful place to launch day trips to the Golden Gate recreation area, Stinson Beach, and Muir Woods. The grocery is very close as well.

Lovely Visit
We rented this house for almost a week. It was very clean and the beds were super comfy! It was conveniently located and had everything we needed to make meals. We also went for runs in the neighborhood which was beautiful! Yasmine was very friendly and helpful. She answered all of my emails promptly and thoroughly. I would definitely recommend this house for others!

The perfect olace
We wanted a small but open & fun place to stay for a few days in Mill Valley. This was a wonderful and perfect choice. Great for sleeping,great location, and just such a pleasant vibe. Thank you!
