Beautiful View!
A beautiful location for our girls reading weekend. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed having the fireplace on and watching the lights across the river each night, and sitting on the deck watching the freighters.

Lovely home, super cozy and fantastic view
We had a peaceful stay and enjoyed the view. Watched a few freighters and fishermen. Enjoyed the sun on the deck with a cup of coffee (provided by homeowner). Fully stocked kitchen just needed to bring the food. Beds were comfy and the decor was beautiful!

Beautiful, clean property, with stunning river views
We stayed 2 nights at this well-maintained, clean property overlooking the St. Clair River. Our only suggestion is to please provide more blankets. Thank you for hosting us at this wonderful spot.

Cozy, beautiful
I loved the stay here. It was very clean and easy to access. The water views are incredible and it was beautiful to watch the change in weather on the water. The only thing I would suggest is bringing a soft pillow for sleep as the pillows here are very firm. Will definitely be back this summer.

Great location
A totally enjoyable stay. All the reviews are correct and the house was very well done. The St Clair River was the highlight with wildlife and the ships. The beauty of the nearby River Walk added to the understanding of the area and its history. Great location.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Blue Water Hideaway while visiting friends in the Marysville area. The home was well appointed and very clean. Beds were comfortable and the living area was spacious for us. Tammi was a gracious and communicative host who was responsive by phone and text as needed. The space would be perfect for four adults (two couples) and while our family with two little children certainly enjoyed our stay, it was definitely a space geared towards adults, rather than small children (no bath tub, no gates on the outside deck beside the river, lovely but fragile decor that we put on higher shelves.) But at the end of the day it was an excellent stay and we would be happy to visit Blue Water Hideaway again — especially once our kids are older!

Quiet Retreat
We enjoyed the peaceful feeling of this home. Sitting on the lower deck watching the freighters was so fun. Beautiful view inside the home and outside on your choice of decks. Well worth it and will definitely be back.

Gorgeous View of the River
We had a wonderful time staying here. It was absolutely beautiful. The house was so clean and new. The views of the freighters were incredible. We spent most of our time outside fishing and enjoying the weather. The host was great she answered all of our questions in a timely manner. I would definitely stay here again. Loved it!!

The property was perfect for a quiet couples getaway. Very clean, nice view of the river. Definitely not for kids or pets as there are no fence or rails at the end of the deck looking over the river. The only thing I would suggest is a screen door on the patio. Overall very satisfied 😊

Relaxing Water Retreat
This is such a lovely home! It is so light and bright! We loved the local photographer's work on the walls which showed so many views of the shipping on the river! My husband, myself and our college age kids had a fun time tracking and watching the ships go by. We even saw a cruise ship! I actually learned a lot using my MarineTraffic app. I am tracking one that is on it's way to Gibralter. We swam at the beach by the lighthouse, which we went up last year on a quick stop through Port Huron, and wandered around the main street area. My art school daughter enjoyed sitting on the back deck painting the scene across the river. We had everything we needed in the house, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the towels were a lovely quality and everything was very clean. This was a very relaxing start to a week of hopping around Michigan. My husband and I plan to return! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lounging Lake Effect
Beautifully updated home on the river. Enjoyed lounging on the deck while fishing in the river. Caught several walleye & grilled them w/crab boil. Kitchen well stocked. Views at night mesmerizing with big ships coming & going through the canal. Wonderful R&R long weekend. Will definitely be returning!

Short Drive to Relaxation
Me and my besties had an amazing time!!! The property was clean and accommodated the 3 of us for a long weekend. The stairs going down to the house was intimidating but there is a pully system to help with that. I loaded up my wagon with my stuff and wheeled it down, worked perfectly until 1 load vered to right and wagon tipped over. Stay to the left and it'll work like a charm!!! Once down there all was worth it!! The house was emasculate, clean, beautiful!! The kind of place that makes you say AaaaHHHH!!! The view was amazing!! Freighters traveling back and forth so close was so cool. There were a couple party boats over the weekend that were fun cheering with. The extended dock was everything!! We spent most of our time out there fishing, tanning and relaxing with great weather. Had fun cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, it has everything you need!! It'd be nice to have had a couch or chairs that recline so we didn't have to fight over who got the chaise at night watching our scary movies. Thank you for sharing such a gem of a house, not far from home. Can't wait to visit again

Enjoyed the property. Very clean and a beautiful view of the St. Clair River. Caught a couple 4lb Smallmouth Bass, a Walleye, and several Suckers from the dock. Lynn, the owner, was very responsive to any questions I had. My wife and I look forward to returning to the property in the future.

Ship Lovers Paradise
If you enjoy watching freighters than this property is for you. You can’t get any closer unless you were on a boat. Home was very clean and comfortable. Spent most of our time sitting on the deck enjoying the view. Town is very close and had some interesting museums and we found a great tavern with a large deck with a view of the river. We will be back!

Exceeded Expectations
We booked this location upon short notice. As many pictures do not actually reflect the actual experience, this place was better than expected. The serenity of the water, with the open windows, and brand new remodel exceed our expectations. We felt as though we were staying on an island in Michigan.
