Thanks for your feedback Jakob. As a boutique hotel, we made the decision to be Adults Only. Being located in the heart of Manchester's Gay Village, we are surrounded by bars and nightclubs and families may prefer to stay further away from all the action. I am, however, disappointed that this was not explained clearly to you on arrival and for any embarrassment caused. The fault lies with hotels.com as they are aware of our age restrictions yet still authorised the reservation. Despite the initial confusion, we are pleased you enjoyed our unique rooms and you will never forget your first trip to Manchester. If you are ever looking for a night away with your partner in Manchester, we hope Velvet will be your choice of hotel :)
