Good size apartment, condition is poor and stains on curtains and walls. Hygiene was concerning. Very small sink in both Kitchen & bathroom.

Double booked , stranger obtaining access
Place was nothing like in the pictures, quite run down and unhygienic. Old style single glass sash windows out onto the back of a pub that didn’t close properly, very noisy. Worst part was that they overbooked and I got the scare of my life having a stranger being in my apartment when I came back after being out for a work meeting with all my belongings in there. Totally unacceptable and left as felt unsafe and the stranger would not leave. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.

Central location but noisy because of that, but expected. Apt was a good size and well equipped but the mattress was the worst I have ever known. Really needs to be replaced. The check in process is unnecessarily complicated

die art des unterkunft und die art des checkin kamen für mich unvorbereitet. ich hatte ein hotel erwartet oder zumindest etwas mit persönlichem kontakt. dass niemand telefonisch erreichbar war und dass verschiedenste mails mit unterschiedlichen absender kamen, die das hochladen von ausweisen oder die online überweisung von safety deposits verlangt haben, hat mich so verunsichert, dass ich eigentlich umbuchen wollte. Auch in der wohnung selbst gab es keinerlei hinweise wie zB die Sicherungen zu handhaben sind oder der kühlschrank in betrieb genommen wird. für jemand der appartment und englische elektrizität nicht kennt, erst mal sehr ärgerlich

A Rather Challenging Stay
Would've loved to have given the apartment a higher rating for it's close proximity to major tourist sites and cleanliness. The bed was comfortable and neatly made upon arrival. Wifi remain connected, and TV service was good! Kitchen and bathroom were exactly as described--though the refrigerator required a good defrost and multiple overhead lights were out. Nevertheless, as others have commented, the location suffers from loud noise all around. I heard near constant road traffic (it's near a major thoroughfare) and heavy footfall from the apartment above, so I got very little sleep at night. Additionally, I forgot the code to the apartment door on the evening of my first evening out. I called the apartment service 3 times between 5 and 9:00 o'clock for help (including once from a police station). Surprisingly, my calls when straight to voicemail. I could've been stranded outside overnight without a kind intervention. I would be challenged to state wholeheartedly that my experience was worth what I paid, considering other alternatives.

Noisy bedroom - there are very loud bottle collections from various pubs at around 3am-4am. The central heating is noisy and sounds like running water. The TV was not working and there was no one to answer on the contact number when I tried to ask for help.

Hardly any toilet paper. Lobby area and lift dirty Flat dusty with red wine stains on walls. Rang contact number many times between 9am and 10 am with no answer

Mitten in der City gelegen sind die bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar. Check-in war etwas anstrengend, da es keine Rezeption gibt sondern alles über Telefon und eMail läuft. Als die Formalitäten geklärt waren, ging es aber schnell. Die Unterkunft verfügt über eine Küche mit Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine, ist also auch etwas für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Fazit: empfehlenswert!

The cleanliness of the bed was terrible, I woke up after my first stay with several bites from sleeping in the bed. I then rang the property to ask could i get my sheets changed, this was not an option as apparently the cleaners finish their day at 3pm. They could not move me room as they were fully booked up and apparently my money was non-refundable. I really didn't want to stay in this property again, but I got no help and had no option. I tried to remove the disgusting mattress topper and flipped the mattress, along with shaking the sheets. Unfortunately, I woke up the next day with an additional 3 bites (one on my neck had swollen out). This was clearly the bed or something in my room which I reported and the staff on the phone did not believe me. I would never suggest or advise anyone to ever staying in this property.

Location is very close to the Blackfriar station. The only down thing was the noise from the street, but for the same reason it was practical to be in the center, it was extremely noisy from the street, police sirens was almost constant at times.

I arrived in the front of the Excel apartments with no way to enter the building. The call box did not have a reception button and no one answered the door. I was in a rush to drop of luggage to catch a train and missed it because I had to find a new hotel in a hurry. Bummed - this was my experience.

Did the job!
Handy location for my needs and space was perfectly good - having to wait for the check in code was slightly annoying as didn't come until after 2pm when I would have liked to have checked in. The welcome emails were also slightly intimidating! But I would stay again.

No privacy in bathroom!
Good lounge and kitchen but bedroom over pubs, smelly take away and velux windows in bathroom without blinds. Anyone could have seen in from the offices above!

Great location for working in the city and the apartment was a high standard. Only issue was trying to arrange key collection in advance as the wrong number was provided with the booking. Once we got the right number staff were very helpful.
