For that special getaway with family or friends, White Pines offers a cozy atmosphere nestled in a scenic secluded valley just behind the mighty Mississippi River. Located just off Great River Rd (Iowa Scenic Byway) along the Mississippi River and a few miles South of the quaint historic river town of Lansing, IA and the Village Creek boat launch.

* 3 Night min needed over holidays and summer weekends

You will want to spend as much time in this cabin as possible no matter the season. Fully furnished, this cozy 4 bedroom retreat offers 3 queen beds and 1 bunk bed for kids and a big Hot Tub Jacuzzi on the deck outside....avail year round.
Nestled among the trees you can sit on the porch and take in the majestic views of the surrounding bluffs and local wildlife as you listen to the sounds of nature or enjoy a crackling campfire at night and make some lasting memories.

*No Hiking or Trespassing is allowed on adjoining property & trails and neighboring property

*This cabin has a Swimming “Pond”….NOT a Chlorinated Pool. It is Chemical Free and depending on the time of year there is algae, frogs, & tadpoles that live in it.

*New A-Frame Addition recently finished

*There is no hiking or trespassing on neighbors land & trails across the driveway

Not clean and hot tub didn’t wirk
We arrived at the property and the front door was dirty and didn’t leave a good first impression. We had to sweep the floors in mainly living space because they were dirty. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and many cobwebs all over the house. Wr booked the property because of the hot tub and it didn’t work. We mentioned it to the host and he said he would check it out after we left. Very disappointed in our stay.

What a sweet place!!!
The pond alone was a huge pull for our kids and friend’s kids! Cabin was great and had plenty of room to spread out. 8-10 minutes from Lansing and several trout streams. We will be back!

Beautiful property for groups with trade offs
We had three families with kids between 5 & 10, and this worked really well for us. The swimming pond, surrounding lawn area, fire pit, and deck with hot tub were perfect to keep everyone entertained and allow us to spend time together which was the goal of the weekend. Cory was very responsive and even brought out dry firewood after the first set he brought out got soaked in a surprise thunderstorm. We also went into it well aware of the tradeoffs based on previous reviews and communication from the host. There were small maintenance problems - small leaks during torrential downpours, a missing piece of floor trim, and a damaged hot tub cover that if corrected will make it better for future guests.

Peaceful stay
Bird lovers paradise! Birds everywhere, finches, humming bird's, oreos, woodpecker, even wild turkeys! Even had deer in the yard and bats at night. Much enjoyed. Just bring your bug spray and a outdoor fogger.

Great property with Swimming Pond
We had a lot of fun with the unique swimming pond, frogs and local hiking. Read the description- it's a cabin house. Bring all your towels- bath and kitchen- dishwasher soap and any cleaner you might want to wipe down a counter or sink. Kitchen has limited glassware and silverware but adequate pots and pans. Bring all your bedding. Beds were "fair" in comfort and cleanliness. Plenty of indoor space. There is a gas grill.on the deck and fire pit was set up well, Birds, butterflies and deer were plentiful. This is on a great lot with lots to do near by. Super time.

Peaceful beautiful cabin
It is a beautiful cabin in a peaceful country setting. The hottub was a wonderful treat! Plenty of room for 6 adults and room to spare. Very comfortable beds, which is always a p!us!!!! Looking forward to going back in the summer or fall and enjoying the cement pond!

Weekend getaway
Beautiful location and comfortable accommodations. Had a wonderful weekend here and wished we could have stayed longer. Very peaceful area to visit. Definitely would love to make plans to come again in the summer.

Great location, quiet, chill
The place was close to great hikes, and not far from downtown Lansing. Chilling by the pond was fun to read and watch nature. Hot tub was great for after hikes, but the beds are very uncomfortable. Beware if you need support for a bad back. There's an oversized memory foam on master bed, but didn't help.
