Amazing view, but...
Amazing area, with a view of the falls! Had a couple of hick-ups regarding our dinner and the check out. The hotel claimed that we should pay more and we would get a deposit back... did’nt make sense, we already paid everything via hotels.com.

Lovely old Inn which was friendly and welcoming with great food and overlooking the falls. It was super convenient as in our route home. The bed in our standard room was quite small for us tall people and the room was so hot but otherwise comfy.

Very enjoyable stay in this quirky and atmospheric inn. Could have done with an a la carte menu to expand choices but food quality good. Stand out service is what made our stay. Very popular and busy place with booking for dinner essential. Falls always spectacular.

Nothing was unique. It was very dirty (carpet, curtains, window, outdoor planters, hair in the floor of the bathroom and shower, insects on the walls, floor and bed. When I saw the bottle of the shampoo empty, I asked them and they told me tu buy one in the nearest shop. Tables of the dinning room were sticky. We will NEVER be back at this hotel. DO NOT RESERVE, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL, EVER. IF YO DO IT, YOU WILL REGRET

Delightful country inn with a smokehouse where you can lunch on locally produced food. Evening meal at the Inn was also very good. The best thing however is the proximity to the Falls of Dochart. Highly recommend.

A must!
This is my favourite spot in Scotland and the Falls of Dochart Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, eat and drink! Great service and wonderful food, Sharon really did make our stay! So laid back and welcoming! I’ve been before and I’ll definitely be back. One bit of advice… book early as it’s popular! Loved our river view room, sitting by the window, having a drink and watching the falls, people and world go by!

Very much worth it despite some issues
We stayed in room 1. Free parking, busy but always a space available for us. View of the store rooms and kitchen with an air conditioning unit below the window. The room was hot so we needed to keep the window open. The room was small with limited storage and the ceiling of the bathroom sloped so impossible to stand up to shower. No shower curtain either so only option was a bath - I'm not a fan of a bath and prefer to shower. The fittings, finish and furnishings were of a very high quality as were the toiletries. The bar had a very good range of beers, wines and spirits and the food is frankly excellent and absolutely worth the short comings of the room. Service was odd ... everyone friendly and lovely but on day 1 we waited an hour for our starter and on day 2 I had to go to the bar to ask to order after we'd been sat down for 20 minutes. Free deserts were given as an apology, which was very good customer service I felt. Genuinely really enjoyed our stay ... the good outweighs the negatives by far.

Lovely pitstop.
Great wee hotel, really lovely staff. Food was good and rooms were clean and comfortable. They even has entertainment in the bar in the evening.Great value for money.

Fantastic country inn to add into your itinerary! We were traveling the Highlands for 10 days staying at different hotels every night (all good) but our favorite stay was here. Quaint inn with great dinner and fantastic breakfast following morning!

Great weekend away - lovely cottage and pub food
Amazing weekend away with cracking weather and a great stay at The Falls of Dochart Inn. Accomodation was cosy and located behind the main hotel; nice and quiet given the restaurant and bar were packed given the great weather. If I had to be super picky; then the finishing on the ensuite left a little to be desired but the cottage was well kitted out. Food was simple and good mix of classics and Scottish classics for dinner. Breakfast was simple and very wholesome.

We arrived to find the place closed down. No one there! Owners had gone on a holiday to Thailand we believe. No where to stay late in the day. We were not happy would never recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely location.
We enjoyed a very nice 2-night break in the Inn. - A place full of character, history and charm, and at a splendid location overlooking the Falls of Dochart.

Cottage was lovely and we couldn't have asked for more helpful staff or a better location. Bedrooms were very spacious and really comfortable beds! The cottage could do with some TLC in some areas but overall we were really happy with it. There were only 4 towels provided when we arrived, so for a 5 night stay in a property that sleeps 6 normally it was a bit odd. There were about 12 bath mats though!!? As there was only 2 of us it wasn't a problem and I'm sure if we had asked the staff for more they would have happily provided them. Other negatives were no info pack in the cottage and no small welcome pack (milk/bread/eggs). For the price this is just something we would normally expect to find. With no info pack in the property we had to do our own research to find out what was available in the area which was a bit frustrating. Overall we had a lovely comfortable stay in the cottage and would consider booking again in the future :)

Great location
We loved our stay. Staff were fab and made us feel right at home. Room was lovely with a great view of the falls although shower could do with a bit of an upgrade. Food was great. All in all a lovely stay.

Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately the bed and bathroom were not conducive to a restful night. Deep stand alone tub was inaccessible for someone with mobility issues as there was nothing to Hold onto, nor a mat to prevent slipping even if we could have got over the high side. Unfortunately the shower was in the bath and the bed itself so uncomfortable that we hardly slept. Lovely meal in the bar and excellent breakfast.
