My stay was a pandemic-delayed, multi generational, retirement celebration from me to my family. Starting w/ the booking process of Hale La, a few years ago, through my 4 week stay, I found the owners, Patrick and Jules, to be incredibly KIND, responsive and accommodating. The house itself, is TO DIE FOR! I will forever miss the ocean views from the balcony. The kitchen had every pot, pan, utensil, electric device, etc that we could possibly want/need. We were blown away by the stash of every conceivable beach-related equipment, including pool shoes (which you’ll need for most of the beaches). The beds were comfy. If young children are in your group, the house has you covered - crib, pack-n-play, high chair, booster seat, etc. TV has lots of channels, though we spent most of our time on the ocean-facing deck. Strong wifi. A grocery store is just a few miles away in Waimea, though Costco got most of our grocery and gas money. The neighborhood is quiet, except for some intermittent road noise and chickens. (It IS Kauai, after all).
It was an idyllic stay in Hale La on an idyllic island. Mahalo to Patrick and Jules.
