We stayed for 13 nights in August. Great location to get away from the hustle and bustle. Lovely and peaceful by the pool with great views. With Olive Trees as far as the eye could see. Well equipped villa with everything you need for your stay. Well stocked kitchen with lovely touches such as espresso pots and orange juicer. The two fridges came in useful to cool our drinks in the 40 degree heat. The air conditioning was also a Godsend and worked really well. It was a fantastic location, only an hour from Malaga and also an hour from Granada. The nearest town, Iznajar was a short drive away. We enjoyed wandering the pretty streets and food in a local restaurant. Steve the Manager was very efficient with a few minor queries we had during our stay. We hope to come again.

Family holiday
We really enjoyed our stay at Susan and John’s. The pool was fantastic and much needed to cool down during the heat of the day. We stayed in the main house and the air con was very efficient and cooled down very quickly as we kept shutters and blinds closed. The kitchen is well stocked and the pool kitchen perfect for cold drinks and snacks during the day. Beds were comfortable. Good location for exploring Andalusia. Excellent communication with Susan. We had a fantastic holiday.

1 week stay in Iznajar with kids and grandparents
Lovely farmhouse with well maintained pool, plenty of outdoor space to eat in the sun or shade and easy access to local amenities. The surrounding olive groves are beautiful and you feel in the middle of countryside, even though it is only a 1 km drive down to the nearby restaurants and a BP garage where you can get milk, wine, beer etc. Plenty of space for a family of 6 , great BBQ and kitchen facilities. Iznajar is only a few miles away and a great place to visit for amazing views across the lake, a few cafes and bars, butchers and small supermarket. We also enjoyed a trip to Antequera just 45 minutes away with amazing fortress and some great tapas bars. The churros at La Antequera were top notch and I can well recommend this cafe for a pit stop. All in all a great place to relax and use as a base to explore this stunning part of Andalucia.

Un retiro en el campo
Hemos estado bien atendidos y nos han solucionado en seguida los problemas que han ido surgiendo. La casa no es tan bonita como en las fotografías y la limpieza y decoración son mejorables. Aparte de eso hemos estado muy a gusto, los alrededores son muy chulos para ir al pantano o visitar Priego, Cabra y otros pueblos cercanos. La casa es perfecta para 8 personas, y en la cocina no falta de nada. Pensamos que iba a haber mosquitos por la noche pero que va. El wifi funciona muy bien.

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of some of the wonderful places to visit, but are concerned that you found that the cleanliness could be improved. We take cleanliness very seriously and if you could let me know by email what was lacking I could take it up with the cleaner. The photographs were taken in summer with the vines out, which make the house look more attractive.

Relaxing and remote with great places to visit.
Beautiful traditional house in rural area. Well equipped, comfortable living and fantastic pool. Near enough to visit Grenada, Cordoba, and Nerja. Local bar very welcoming with good food and table football and pool table. Happy days.

Wonderful and very well equipped villa
We had a glorious week at this villa, it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Beautiful location, lots of space, great outside courtyard for eating and a gorgeous pool.

As yours was the first rental of the season and a week that we had given for a charity fundraiser, we so wanted it to be perfect for you and were very sorry that it didn't work out that way. We personally spring cleaned, including all the drawers and cupboards and outdoor furniture, at the end of March and aired everything. However there was an unprecedented rainfall in April which I'm afraid none of the local Spanish country houses coped with well. It is a shame that you didn't contact myself or our agent immediately and we could have addressed your concerns while you were there. It is always helpful to have feed back and we will add airing to the cleaner's tasks if a similar situation recurs. As far as the loo paper is concerned, I'm afraid that, other than in the cities, in Southern Spain it is not permitted to put loo paper down the loo as the systems don't cope. Bins are always provided.
