This was our 3rd trip to Haverhill and so we thought we'd try something other than the Travelodge.
Good location, with free parking but Room 4 was terrible.
The decoration is tired. (The bathroom floor covering looks older than me!)
The room is situated right above the pub/restaurant entrance and the door bangs every time someone enters or leaves. (It seemed like every door in the building slammed shut)
The bedroom window doesn't close properly so there is constant noise from traffic/drinkers.
Pub across the road has the deepest bass speaker I have ever had the displeasure of trying to sleep near. (Loud bass thumping till 1.30am)
Couldn't sleep so tried to make a cup of tea. No teaspoons! Then noticed that the milk sachets and Biscoff biscuits were out of date. (Got replacements when the staff arrived, but that didn't help me at 1am)
Miffed that I couldn't have a brew, I turned on the TV. It wasn't tuned in properly. I could watch a blocky BBC1 or listen to a couple of radio stations.
I understand that this place is cheap, but it is certainly not cheerful.
Don't say the room has a TV if you've not checked that it works.
Don't say the room has tea making facilities then provide out of date consumables.
We won't be staying there again!
