The Holiday Inn in Hasselt is centrally located. Service is good. Rooms without much soul but clean, nice and of good size. The hotel restaurant serves nice food flawlessly prepared, both from the menu and from the daily menu. The value for money is quite good in the restaurant and if factoring in that children eat free makes it exceptionally good value if you are bringing them. Breakfast buffet is decent with cereals, bread, yoghurt, bacon, eggs and a little fruit – nothing is missing but there are no thrills. Swimming pool is not large but sufficient to splash around in and children to play. Medium sized fitness room and sauna. Even though the hotel obviously caters to business clients it also makes an effort to welcome families and had put up an inflatable castle for the children to jump around in but meetings and conferences meant it had to be taken down. At easter a bunny arranged an egg-hunt for the children. Parking in the underground facility has direct access to hotel but is expensive. The hotel should consider providing free parking. Internet is restricted to two device per room but extra logons available upon request. Connection is not fast and requires logon every time.
