A Mountain Paradise
This property is absolutely beautiful! It is spacious but cozy, and we liked that it had a bedroom downstairs. The master bedroom overlooks the river you go to sleep and wake up hearing the soothing sound of the river flow. We enjoyed the deck, the hot tub and we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over a fire. The location is also perfect for hiking as there are many trails near by. My friends and I have stayed at several cabins through the years and we all agreed, this was the best place we’ve stayed. I definitely hope to get back to this property soon!

Long weekend get a way
Lovely home situated in a park-like atmosphere. We loved our stay. Home was extremely clean and had everything we could want to feel at home. Close to stores and restaurants. We loved the dry falls and a trip to Highlands for lunch.

Just lovely
This was perfect for our family of seven! We rafted the Nantahala, hiked a bunch, a rode the rock slides. Gathered around the outdoor fire pit at night. Comfy beds & great access. It was just wonderful!

Blissful Bears
This property is incredibly beautiful, bot in its setting and decor. It's also very comfortable. We had 3 adults, one teen, and a 9-year-old child in our group. We had plenty of room to spread out and everyone enjoyed our stay. Please note there is only one shower. That was not an issue for our group at all, as several in our party enjoy taking baths and there is a beautiful tub in the upstairs bathroom. The shower is conveniently located on the first floor for anyone with mobility issues. I loved the upstairs porch, bathroom, and master suite. All the decks and porches were amazing, and we all loved the bridge across the stream. My brother even caught some fish from the bridge. Everyone agreed they would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend this property to others.

Getaway with friends
We enjoyed a weekend away with friends and this house was wonderful. We loved the wood burning fireplace and cozying up on the couch on a rainy day, and then loved the jacuzzi and being by the creek once the weather was better. The panoramic windows in the primary bedroom were amazing, too. Once thing to note---there is only one shower. While that's listed, I totally overlooked that when booking. Unless someone likes baths, make plans to have everyone in your party share one shower. The town of Franklin is so cute, with so many delicious places to eat! We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Creekside Mountain Home
The house was exactly what was in the listing. You could hear the soothing sound of rushing water all day. Open, comfortable setup, the river room was amazing! We used the firepit mutiple times, as well as the wood burnin stove. Kathy's suggestions for things to so were very helpful, including the grocery store. The only challenge was not having a shower in the beautiful, large upstairs bathroom and having everyone use the downstairs shower in the smaller bathroom. This was mentioned in the listing, and not that big a deal, just the only thing that wasn't ideal for us. We would definitely rent this house again, would love to experience it in the summer!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
This was our second time staying at this property, and it was just as clean and comfortable as I remember. We have 5 children 6 and under, and it was the perfect place to relax, for the kids to safely explore and everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed a day trip to Highlands and a trip up to Wayah Bald lookout tower (not to be missed!) We will be back!

on the river
We enjoyed our week here. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the tools we needed, the hot tub was great and the heated floors were amazing. This was not a problem for the two of us, but with a bigger group only having one shower on the first floor (bedrooms upstairs) could be a problem. Overall I would recommend this home.

Idyllic!
The babbling brook just steps from the house, in the beautiful woods, was like something out of a fairy tale. The house itself is also gorgeous, and the furnishings are impeccable! Everything you could possibly need has been provided. So peaceful and quiet! We had fun exploring the area and the fall colors were spectacular. Trips to Wayah Bald and Dry Falls were worth the drive!

Second time just as good as the first!
My husband I enjoyed the home for a nice restful stay. Listening to the stream go by curled up with a good book in the sun room was my favorite spot😊 This was our second time and the upgrades outside were a nice surprise wonderfully done. This don’t be our last time we will be back again!

Beautiful mountain getaway!
Our family of 5, including a toddler and teens, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Smokey Mountain River Retreat. We experienced a few hiccups but the owners were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The home is beautiful and though there were neighbors in the area, it felt secluded and quiet. The children enjoyed the creek, fishing for crawdads! And they even caught a few! The entire family enjoyed the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit as it did get quite chilly. My husband was quick to comment on how clean the hot tub water was. I particularly enjoyed the heated floors. What a nice treat! Kitchen was well equipped with necessities and the owners supplied sufficient items for a comfortable stay. All the beds were comfortable and the spacious rooms offered plenty of room for all of us and more if needed. We explored several places in the area that were with within reasonable distance and offered a very scenic drive. Grocery stores close by and there is plenty to explore within an hour's deive. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings with much to offer all age groups. We would love to experience this slice of heave again!

Beautiful inside and out. Comfortable beds. Excellent kitchen. Creek was relaxing. Location near many trails. Our only complaint was transporting the garbage to the dump. With a full car that was difficult. Paying for cleaning should be sufficient to handle trash disposal.

Loved it
The wife and I had an awesome time and would definitely come back. House was clean and the owner is super responsive with messages. The creek was the highlight to me and to go through the day and then fall asleep with the sound of that in the background is so relaxing. Loved it and would recommend.

AMAZING!
We could not have asked for a more wonderful place to stay….however….I will have to say that the upstairs bathroom was my favorite! It had all the modern amenities with the nostalgic feel! Thank you for a clean, relaxing place! We are very busy people and needed a week to just relax and enjoy this beautiful, quiet, and clean rental!

Amazing house location and owners have thought of everything!
Couldn’t have been happier w our stay. The house was clean and everything was provided! Little touches throughout show how much they care. The creek is so amazing and the hot tub worked great and powerful jets. The bath tub in upstairs bath is the best for soaking and almost as comfy as a bed. Beds so comfortable. We will return and recommend it to others.

Beautiful home on a roaring creek. My family and I loved our stay. Be sure to pull up and know the key code before arriving, as there is no cell service at the house. The Starlink works well, so you are not without internet, if you don’t want to be.

Amazing house
The house was just as described if not even better. The pics really don’t do it justice. It’s so beautiful. We had the best week exploring. Kathy’s recommendations were appreciated. All instructions were easy to follow. We did have to take trash to the dump, but wasn’t a big deal. Everything was just perfect. It’s definitely one of my favorite places that we have stayed.

The house was beautiful but a bit impractical. There is only one shower, the bathroom with the shower has no counter space. The upstairs has a tub and lots of counter space but the sink is so high any child would need a stool to use it. The "we inspect the white furniture" made us feel like you really couldn't touch anything and the $500 fee to mail back any item you may forget left a bad taste in my mouth. For 2 clean adults it was lovely, however i wouldn't pick this property for a family gathering for fear of messing anything up. The viwes are wonderful, the hot tub relaxing and the location very convenient to town, hiking and shopping.

Thank you for your 5 Star review! I'm glad you enjoyed your overall stay. I do want to point out that the fee for returning items left behind is $50, not $500! This fee includes shipping cost as well as my housekeepers time. The original part of the home is very unique and there wasn't much room in our renovation for countertop space in the main level bathroom; therefore, the 3 shelves in the bathroom plus the medicine cabinet for storage hopefully makes up for a large countertop. I hope you weren't surprised by the fact the upstairs didn't have a shower. It is well advertised in our listing and we do have 2 step stools upstairs for guests use. We will be adding a shower to the upstairs bath this winter! We've been very saddened by how a few guests have treated the white furniture so I had to make a bit stronger statement about using caution. Of course the occasional spot occurs, but children with chocolate and fruit punch is another matter! I truly apologize if my wording came across as unwelcoming! Again, thank you for rating us 5 stars even with your concerns. I do hope you'll consider a return visit as you and your family would be welcomed back!

Peaceful Retreat
This property exceeded my expectations. We had a wonderful time! I highly recommend taking the time to do a puzzle on the table in the River room. It's the perfect place to do so. The creek is perfect for a dip when you get hot and you are just far enough away from everything but still within driving distance to sights. Rent this one, you won't be disappointed!

25th Anniversary get away
This place has very large bedrooms. Perfect for a large family. Main floor bedroom with Queen bed. Upstairs a huge master suite with it's own living room. Doors to balcony have screen doors so if weather permits you could really enjoy the sounds of the water. The third bedroom was huge as well. Twin beds and queen. The kitchen and patio was great. We grilled out and fed the trout .The location was a little tricky for our F250. We ended up doing better by driving passed the well marked driveway to make sure no cars around the curve ,then backed into our driveway. Worked well once we did that so we were more comfortable. Some cars and motorcycles go over speed limit on the curve. Overall we highly recommend any of our friends and family staying here. Great location close to tubing,train ride,fishing,hiking, shopping, horseback riding. Or just relaxing while your kids play in the back yard, then have marshmallows at the fire pit. Thank you for making our Anniversary special.

Very peaceful spot
Everything was great. Outside of the bathroom set up (no shower upstairs) we would love to return. It was a perfect get away for me and my husband. Plenty of space to spread out if had whole family only would be slim on bathroom space. Would still chance it since everything else was so great!

Beautiful Cabin in Great Location
This was our first time in Franklin, NC but it won’t be our last. The cabin was beautiful inside and out. Our children loved the creek and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. This cabin has it all and only 15min from shops/restaurants in Franklin. The owners Kathy and Chris were great promptly answering any of our questions. They also included a list of nearby activities which was helpful being our first time in the area. Cabin highly recommended. We will be back.

This was the perfect getaway for our family. The owner has certainly went to great lengths to make this property feel like home. The sound of the creek offers a very tranquil experience. This is exactly what I wanted. I could have sat on the balcony the entire time. The sound of the creek was total tranquility. The house was gorgeous. Beautifully decorated. Super comfy bed. My only suggestion would be to add some type of game (pool table, air hockey, foosball) I will come back!

Beautiful property inside and out
We had a wonderful stay - highly recommend. Clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, wonderful outdoors, everything you need to stay. It is a little ways out from town and stores, but the location was worth it!! We had an earlier booking, and some family came down with Covid. When I spoke with Kathy, without me asking for any accommodation, she offered to move the booking even though it was the day before. She also honored the original price though the new booking was on a holiday. You will love your stay there!!

Fabulous week at the creek!
Our stay at Bear's Bliss was just perfect! Relaxing, cozy, and luxurious. The home is just beautiful and the bedroom setup was perfect for two small families plus a downstairs bedroom for an elderly parent. The girls got in the creek every chance they got and we were outside as soon as the sun came up. Evenings were perfect for the hot tub, S'mores, and falling asleep to the sound of the creek. Highly recommended! Thank you for a lovely family vacation! 😊

Excellent Home Next to Creek
Beautiful home with wonderful access to a splendid creek. Very well stocked and equipped for relaxing privacy. Remote location with access to restaurants, lake, boating, etc. within 25 minutes away. Beautiful, winding rural roads make a 12-mile excursion take at least 25 min. Not any public access to parks or lake beach area nearby. Excellent tubing at Great Smokey Mountain on Bennett Rd in Franklin. Great boat rentals on Lake Nanahala at Lakes End Marina (make boat reservations early in advance. Highly recommend this property!

This house is in a great location and true to pictures and description. The proximity to the running water allows the tranquility to be enjoyed from numerous locations, from reading on a porch, sitting in the hot tub, or dining at one of the tables. Owner provides comprehensive information and valuable suggestions of local hikes/attractions.

The house was clean but some places were not swept like beside the tub but not bad. The ice maker dispenser didn't work and the hot tub foams so bad that we cohosh keep the jets on very long but they did not keep us from having a good time. I did get questioned on if i had pets which i did not and we kept the video on the woke first day we got there so they should have seen we did not have any pets. Other Than that it was a good visit.
