Graduation Getaway
Overall this was a great place. The house is roomy, comfortable, well stocked with basic necessities and super clean. The stars are beautiful and I was able to capture the most incredible pictures of the northern lights from the deck. The heater upstairs worked well, but there are 3 bedrooms downstairs and the heat barely turned on down there and it was cold. Being 3 bedrooms There were space heaters that we could use, but not all of them at the same time as it would trip the breakers. There was no wifi and a few of us needed to work and couldn't. Service is touchy up there anyway and this was a big issue. The technician that came by let us know that the issue was not going to get fixed in the time we were there as the issue wasn't on their end, but on the customer's end. I contacted Adam about it and he communicated that he was trying to get them back out sooner, but I received no further communication after that. During our short stay there was also a leak from one of the showers upstairs into the bedroom downstairs and that was quite the mess to clean up. He did bring an additional lamp as we couldn't use the main light after the leak. Adam was very nice though and pleasant to work with and the house itself was lovely!

Family weekend
This location offered plenty of room for our family. We used the game room and we played ping pong. The children enjoyed the arcade. We saw wild turkeys on the property every day.

Nice but with issues
House was nice and clean. Kitchen is nicely supplied and has quality cookware. The house sleeps 14, but there were not 14 full sized plates. There was not a propane tank for the grill. We called and was told a maintenance person would bring one, but no one did. A bar stool lightly bumped the end cap of the bar tile and the mortar gave way; a small tile fell off but did not break. Tile just needs to be re-attached. Thankfully we have insurance because they are claiming $1500 to repair????

Great location and views.
This is a wonderful property for a group of friends/family. We had plenty of space for group dinners; loved the fire pit; and we had a wonderful bull elk with his group come to visit and bugle. The property could use some "love" and attention. A deep cleaning is in order - bathroom heat registers in particular. Also, several of the mattresses need to be replaced - really sagging and not comfortable.

Excellent location for an extended family vacation
We rented both houses on this property for our large group of siblings, partners, kids, our parents, etc. This includes info on the other house as well. The houses are very, very close together, face one another, and I recommend renting both houses for the best experience. My extended family takes a vacation like this through VRBO somewhere in the country every summer for the last 10 year and had a great time here. Location: wonderful and felt very remote, like we had the natural surrounding to ourselves. However, it was literally less than 5 minutes from downtown Estes, and less than 10 to the Beaver Meadows park entrance. Amenities: The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to make all our meals (cookware and some spices), we utilized the grill daily (plenty of propane for the stay), and we really enjoyed the fire pit and chairs. Plenty of outdoor seating. The younger kids (and the college-aged kids) enjoyed the game room, and being able to open it up (it's in a remodeled garage) was a plus as we had excellent weather. There is not a tv in each room, but who needs TV when everyone is outside enjoying the scenery and visiting. One recommendation would be to have more than one towel per guest as towels sometimes get used quickly if hikers come back wet, the hot tub is used, someone spills a glass of water, etc. All in all, we totally recommend this place to groups of family or friends.

Good,
Maintenance needed on window screens, lawn/patio furniture, ping pong paddles in game room need resurfacing. Recommend fans or ceiling fans for bedrooms upstairs because tend to become warm during the day and evening.

Perfect spot
Great spot, the game room was a huge hit. Very convenient to everywhere, Elk walked through the yard as well as deer and other animals. Great views of the mountains and enough room for us to spread out. *We rented both cabins.

Wonderful
Clean, beautiful location. Saw wildlife everyday. Worked perfectly for family of all ages to stay for wedding. The game room was a huge hit!

not ready to rent January 2023
I’ve asked for a refund but have yet to hear from vacasa or vrbo except computer generated messages. I’ve filled in all online forms. A beautiful property sadly not ready to rent , we were obviously the first guests. Unable to use heated pool as advertised/it was cold. Unable to regulate room temp as thermostat not intuitive and no directions. Would have tried overhead fan but remote was missing. Unable to turn off motion activated overhead lights/need directions how to off, we blocked the sensor with a pillow. Not funny after long day of travel. I called/texted all numbers given, received only vacasa computer generated messages. 24 hours later a person did call. he didn’t know the property either, he was on his way over to “fix things” but we had already decided to cut our visit short, it wasn’t as advertised. All my problems could be remedied with a 10 minute conversation with someone who actually knew the property. Bummer we were first ones. It’s a beautiful place, hopefully property manager will get it right. Most places have a hard copy in room with basic instructions, suggestions for local places, emergency numbers. Good luck to next renters once they say they’ve fixed it.
