This is a very nice place staffed by some of the best people I have encountered anywhere. I had room #1 with a kitchen which I wasn't expecting and barely used except for the fridge. This room was a bit more of a showplace than a functional room because while there were 2 small tables; one that I used as a desk had display items on it like 2 big plates and another thing that I had to put in the closet so I could use it pulled over to the bed to sit on - no chair. (I was told later that they could have brought me a chair.) The pool looked nice, although I didn't use it. The breakfast was very nice indeed and was ordered from a menu giving lots of choices. I had a rental car so most nights I went to town for dinner but the one night I did eat there, I was unimpressed with the food, service was fine. I think the girls were happy that I tried to use my limited Spanish with them & they all spoke very good English with those that didn't try.

We only spent one night in The Golden Frog but we really enjoyed our limited time there. The hotel staff was friendly, the food at the restaurant was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. Bonus points for our balcony with beautiful views of the lush surroundings and the cute dogs and cats on the grounds.

Second Stay at Golden Frog
This was my second stay at Golden Frog- and I will stay at Golden Frog again when I next visit Valle de Anton. The rooms are spacious and very reasonable priced. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. The location is quiet, but accessible to all points of interest in El Valle. I have only positives to say about The Golden Frog Inn.

The staff at the Golden Frog Inn were fabulous! Not only is the hotel in a phenomenally beautiful place with gorgeous landscaping, the onsite restaurant served top-notch meals and accommodated our dietary restrictions. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and when we arrived they had decorated our room with balloons, confetti, and fresh bougainvillea petals. I highly recommend the Golden Frog Inn!

The room was as described. Bed was comfy, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Dining at the hotwl was fairly priced and good quality food with good service.

This was one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Everything was perfect from the room to the food but the best part was the staff. They were so accommodating and friendly and made our stay even more special! The food and drinks were also great and the views from the room were incredible. Highly recommend staying here!!!

Un havre de paix à proximité de belles randonnées
Excellent séjour dans ce très bel hôtel au milieu d’une végétation luxuriante et une vue imprenable sur les montagnes. Très belle décoration des chambres et des parties communes sans compter un très bel accueil , d’excellents petits déjeuners et repas. Une escale rafraîchissante et reposante !

Beautiful resort and huge rooms. The property is older but has been redone and/or maintained to a good standard. The plants and birds around the patio (equipped with a hammock and huge table) were a joy to experience. We wanted to stay another week after being there for just 10 minutes! Good location, but not walkable into town (a car is a must). El Valle is cute and pleasant though you won't find gourmet restaurants here (ye).

Amazing view in and around the property. Unique location, with a bustling town nearby. Friendly staff that keeps a clean environment. We found the food to be somewhat lacking, but generally acceptable, although the price was too high for us. Thankfully, there is an astounding number of restaurants in the valley. Sadly, the TV only had cable and the WiFi was in and out. The bathroom was very nice, but it lacked ventilation. The bed was big and comfortable, but the lighting lacked dim options. Our favorite things about the Inn were the view from our balcony and the lobby/patio area.

Lovely small hotel
This is a lovely hotel in a quiet location on the edge of town. The rooms are spacious and ours was recently renovated. The restaurant was very good and the breakfasts were excellent. No pool was available because it was being fixed. You may want to check the pool has been repaired and is open.

I had a little issue with my reservation upon arrival but it was resolved. I had heard wonderful things about this place which was why I made reservations here. I totally enjoyed my stay. It was so refreshing to be here in El Valle away from Panama City. Loved the scenery and the birds. Everyone was very nice, including a permanent resident there. I will be back one day. Thanks

A very beautiful picturesque setting with great weather, friendly staff, a lovely pool to sit beside or swim in. I’m missing it already. Would definitely go back fand recommend. The included breakfast is also very good and served on a lovely deck overlooking the mountains and pool. The town of Valle de Antón is also nice with coffee shops and restaurants especially La Ranita, which had great food and a most gregarious and attentive owner. I think his name is Petyr, or close to that. Also an interesting vegetable and flower market and a handicrafts market as well. A very nice spot for a quiet and relaxing vacation. Families loved this hotel. A fair number of well behaved children about.

We had a great room #2 We had a kitchen, and full bath and a wonderful covered porch overlooking the pool with table, chairs & Hammock. Be aware there is no A/C I missed this, the room was unbearable during the day, but it cooled down and was breezy at night so with windows open sleeping was fine other than they are buildling something behind this unit for privacy they hung a black tarp problem was it was very breezy at night so it was very loud with the window open. The breakfast was great with lots of options, We also had the nachos one day for lunch they were great. The pool area was beautiful but only a few chairs - so we did not hang out there much, luckily our roomms porch was close. Would stay again, hopefully no construction behind the room next time.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The room is clean, bed is comfy, the views are to die for. My favourite part was sitting on the deck and taking in the views. Highly recommend.

Comfortable
Place is quiet and friendly, there are several games to play and books in the social area. Personnel is always kind and smiling, rooms are veeeeeery comfortable. I absolutely have to come back!

Our accommodation (room #1) is a well appointed funky-folksy home away from home. It includes a big covered front porch area, with comfy chairs, a table, hammock, and lots of greenery and flowers, and a great view of the pool and surrounding gardens. The room is large with a queen size bed, side tables and lamps. There’s also a couch and a big ceiling mounted flatscreen tv. There’s also a small kitchenette with fridge and appliances. The bathroom is not large, but big enough for all the essentials. The shower is large and has good water pressure and hot water.
