Amazing little gem of a find
This stunning cottage is right in the centre of the bustling market town of Chipping Campden but is hidden behind a small gate off the high street that leads to a courtyard - you're as central as possible in the town but it's in it's own peaceful oasis. We were on a girly weekend so to have 4 separate bedrooms all with comfy beds, an ensuite and a separate bathroom was perfect for us - as was the open plan kitchen lounge area. The cottage was immaculate and beautifully furnished. Skipper was so pleasant to deal with and we will definitely be back. Chipping Campden is a great little town with walks from the doorstep, a good selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes (we had a delicious meal at The Eight Bells) and also a good selection of shops to browse around. We were blessed with the weather and the outdoor table and chairs were brilliant for our afternoon coffee. We parked in the central carpark (right opposite the gate to the property) when we first arrived and had no problem moving the car to the street parking once the bustle had died down a bit. I've stayed in lots of cottages over the years and this is one of the best - we couldn't recommend it more if we tried.

Cotswold hideaway
We stayed here for the girls' trip. Skipper communicated well, answering all my questions before arrival. It was a lovely four-bedroom home with one room downstairs and three upstairs. It was very clean. It was in the middle of town but very secluded. Make sure you ask how to work the bathroom tub knobs. Never quite figured that out. Lovely sitting area in a nicely manicured garden. This stop was our favorite part of the trip. The town closed up early at night which was kind of strange. Highly recommend hiring a driver to visit the area. Roads are small, with limited parking. Our driver, John, was inexpensive, and these towns are very small and have limited parking. Skipper can give you, his number. This cottage has everything you need, and I highly recommend staying here. There is no washer or dryer so plan for that. I was surprised that all the UK residents were extremely nice and accommodating. Thanks, Skipper, for making this a really nice experience.

The Perfect Getaway
This was the most beautiful cottage, perfectly and beautifully designed. The hosts could not have been more gracious. Excellent communication and response times. Very welcoming and kind. Easy to find and extremely comfortable with the best location. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

Another wonderful stay
This is our second stay at Hook Cottage and the second time was as wonderful as the first. This is a meticulously maintained property that is spotlessly clean. It's warm and cozy with lots of nice details like coffee, tea, soaps, etc. The location is wonderful - tucked off the High Street in a very convenient spot. Do not hesitate to book this lovely home! We plan to return!

A Wonderful Cottage
As you can gather from the consistently good reviews, this is a wonderful cottage rental. Everything looked exactly as shown in the pictures and it was all truly very charming. All that we could have asked for in the rental was provided. It was so nice being located right in town. We were able to go to the shops and pubs very easily. I could only hope to be back some day. Thank you for hosting us.

Lovely cottage
The cottage is in an amazing location in Chipping Campden. Very quiet and relaxing after long walks and bike rides through the Cotswolds. The goodies Skipper provided on our arrival were most welcome. Highly recommend!

A perfect choice
This was one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever had! Every detail had been well thought out to make us feel like we were staying with friends. A bouquet of daffodils was waiting for us on the table, as well as fresh baked bread, jam, tea, milk, and wine. Everything worked well, the beds were comfy, and the spotless decor looked like rooms found in a magazine. Great job, Skipper! Chipping Camden had pubs and restaurants, food shops, pharmacy, and walking paths. We had such a good time!

Brilliant cottage
Lovely cottage in an unbearable location in the lovely Chipping Camden. Skipper was a great host, and even left a bottle of wine for the group. Perfect for 6 or 7 people for a long weekend, would definitely stay again!

Hook House
Hook House is even more lovely than it appears in the details. It feels like home straight away and is extremely well equipped. It is clean and comfortable and the kitchen overlooking the courtyard garden is delightful. It provided us with a perfect base for a family wedding and we would love to spend more time there in the future and explore the area.

Beautifully equipped, clean and in the best location
We are a group of 4 adults, one 16 year old and one 12 year old and the space worked really well for us. We were welcomed with flowers, fresh fruit, and some staples from the surrounding shops when we arrived. We sat out in the beautiful outdoor garden every day, and everything you could want is literally steps away. We took some amazing walks to Broadway and up and around Dover Hill, and toured around several towns with Hook cottage as our home base. There is a recreation area with a wonderful playground nearby.

Fantastic experience - HIGHLY recommend!
My husband, sister and brother-in-law had the most comfortable stay at Hook Cottage! Everything we needed was here, and in such a lovely setting. The owner has taken care of all the needs you could require and provided some thoughtful welcome items when we arrived. I can't recommend high enough - just perfect! Fabulous!
What can I say, it was fantastic. Everything about the accommodation was just perfect. I have stayed in many other places and this one was just phenomenal . Beautifully designed, extremely clean and just top notch. Communication with Skipper was faultless and there was a welcome pack waiting for us, which was gratefully received , especially the wine after our long drive! This is a must and if you book you will not be disappointed with either the accommodation or the area. Thank you Skipper our weekend was just perfect!

A gem in Chipping Camden
What a perfect place to stay for a Cotswolds visit. The cottage is beautiful and was immaculate both inside and out. Excellent Property
Delighted with this absolutely immaculate property. Also lots of additional touches which were greatly appreciated. Only slight downside is the parking. It is free on the main road but proved difficult to get a space.

Lovely weekend break
This is an extremely comfortable cottage. Warm , cosy with all the facilities for self catering you could need. Right in the heart of chipping Camden. Easy free parking on street surrounded by shops and restaurants . We walked from the house and easily joined the Cotswold way, stunning countryside. Thoroughly recommend it.

'Excellent stay in the perfect location
A beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. Quality towels and bedding with comfortable furniture is always a great bonus. The cottage has everything you need from pots, pans and all the kitchen essentials. Communication with the owners was prompt and very detailed. The cottage was outstandingly clean which is so important in these times and parking in the town is easily achieved at no cost. The big selling point of the cottage for us was having drinks in the delightful garden in the peace and quiet but a few strides away through a secret passage way you have the fabulous market town of Chipping Campden with plenty of bars ,restaurants and shops. Overall this is a fabulous covid retreat which we as a family rate as the best we have stayed in giving excellent value for money. Thanks

A step from the highstreet
Through a blue door, down a short corridor, into a calm beautiful walled garden. The cottage is stunning and surprisingly large once inside. The bedrooms are large and everything is sparkling clean. The village is stunning. We shall return at some point.

Fabulous Cotswold cottage
Wonderful cottage tucked away of High Street. Had absolutely everything we needed for a stay. We made full use of the kitchen and prepared two dinners (great local store just next door). The cottage was cozy and special and perfect base for Cotswolds walks.

Perfect cottage getaway
After the busy-ness of London we loved this quiet, cozy cottage getaway. Our kids loved the secret door of the street leading to the cute courtyard and cozy, warm, comfortable cottage. Perfect place to stay
The 6 of us (3 couples) found Hook Cottage a great choice for our 5 night stay. The location was very central to pubs, shops and sights in Chipping Campden and was an ideal base for our day trips to other villages. The facilities were fantastic and amenities provided first class. Helpful brochures were on hand if we needed them. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area. Thanks Skipper.

Idyllic, charming, quaint & perfectly lovely!
Chipping Campden is my favorite town in the Cotswold’s. The location of Hook Cottage couldn’t be better. It is hidden by a secret door in the heart of town and next door to my favorite grocer, Filet and Bone. The cottage is well appointed and while small (specifically the kitchen) it is highly functional. The ceiling heights on the second floor hall are a bit tricky for taller members of our family who are 6’ 4”. The outdoor garden and seating is wonderful for a morning coffee/tea and we found this to be our respite in the afternoon. Bedding was comfortable and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. During our stay the dishwasher stopped working and Skipper was quick to respond. Lovely hospitality all around and would highly recommend the cottage and Chipping Campden- looking froward to our next holiday here.

Wonderful accommodation in Chipping Camden
This property is located on a courtyard separated from the Main Street by a door into a short alley. You enter a charming, flower-filled courtyard as you exit the alley. It is unbelievably quiet here. It is pleasant to relax in the courtyard. The house itself is well appointed with comfortable beds and plenty of towels. The living room is nice for relaxing and visiting. The kitchen has everything we needed. This was our favorite place to stay in the Cotswold.

Perfect cottage in the Cotswolds
Our stay in Chipping Campden could not have been more perfect. The location of the cottage was spectacular, right in the heart of town, easy work to all the shops. The cottage was superb, first, I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere with such an eye to detail - cleanliness, style and function. We appreciated there being a bathroom and bedroom downstairs, which is tricky to find in this area! Excellent for the older folks in the party. Strongly recommend, this is where I'd pick when visiting the Costwolds next!

Beautiful cottage in a great location
While the photos are nice, they do not do justice to the finishes, cleanliness and attention to detail in the interior of the cottage. It is just such a charming cottage inside and out. And has an amazing combination of being exactly in the center of the village still secluded and private. Chipping Campden was a great location for our Cotswold stay, and Hook Cottage was the perfect accomodation. Skipper was very communicative and quick to answer the few questions we had. I can't recommend this cottage highly enough.

Wonderful home!
Hook Cottage is a lovely, meticulously maintained property that has many thoughtful touches. Our family of five was very comfortable here and we were sorry to leave. Chipping Campden is also a beautiful village with great places to eat and shop. We also took a delightful walk to Broad Campden on the public footpath. We can’t wait to return. It’s truly a special place all around.

Cozy, clean hospitality and Cotswold Charm with contemporary conveniences
Our family of six were been blown away by Hook Cottage -- its lovely neutral decor, its quaint, quiet setting just off high street, and its efficient modern appointments — not to mention the thoughtful provisions left for us by the owner. Our boys especially loved the fresh bread from the bakery next door and assorted jams! We loved the cleanliness and location — minutes’ walk from several good restaurants and small grocery stores, easy parking on the street or adjacent car park, short drives from outstanding hiking. We only wished we could stay longer!
