Great place
Nice, clean place. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway. Only problem was there was no shampoo, and we didn't bring any because we were told it would be provided.

Oh Liz, I’m so sorry about the shampoo not being there. I wish you had reached out and I would have gotten some to you immediately. Again, my apologies and I will certainly remind the cleaning people to make sure all amenities are there going forward.

Farmhouse is a fabulous mountain retreat
Fabulous house and location within easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautifully decorated with everything we could possibly need. Loved the front porch with the swing for watching sunsets over the mountains. Gorgeous views. The only potential negative could be the number of camper campsites adjacent to the property. Only two were occupied and the people were very quiet so we had a peaceful stay. But during busy times there could be a lot of activity. It’s a great place for families, since the farmhouse’s nearby well appointed barn has lots of fun things for kids. Highly recommended.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for your review. We have been hosting guests in our guest houses and campsites for 5 years now with great success. The guests enjoy getting to know and interact with each other. All good experiences. In fact, guests in the Farmhouse and one of the campsites became friends and business partners!

Adequate for our needs
We didn't have good weather so we were at the property most of the time. To say this house has mountain views is a stretch. It's hilly but not mountainous. We had ants in around the table also.

Kathy, I would love to apologize for the weather, however as you know I have no control over it. However, I can control the ants and thanks so much for letting me know about them. My apologies! As for the Mountain View’s, you were actually looking at the mountains of the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mt. Pisgah, over 5000 feet elevation. Again, my apologies for your less than hoped for experience.

Very clean and a great stay!
The farmhouse is a super clean and very comfortable place to stay near Asheville. We enjoyed our stay and have no complaints at all. Louedith was very responsive with super quick communication. Beds were very comfortable (though I know that’s a personal preference item). Lots of outdoor space with the porch and back deck. She does have an RV space that’s right by the house but we never heard or saw them so while I didn’t realize it was there when I booked, it had zero effect on the enjoyment of our stay. There’s a privacy fence that separates the two.

Thanksgiving Getaway
The views are fantastic and the barn is very nice benefit. The house worked perfectly for our thanksgiving dinner. I was a bit surprised at first to see a large RV parked in the parking area right next to the house but the people staying in it were very nice.

Thanks Kimberly for leaving a review and I’m so glad the Farmhouse met your expectations for your Thanksgiving get together. I’m always selective in who stays in the campsite closest to the Farmhouse just for that reason and glad you met them. They are a very nice couple and respectful of the guests in the Farmhouse. Ad a dude note, I once had guests in both places who became friends and went into business together. I hope you will stay with us again - you were great guests!

Homey Cabin
We stayed at The Farmhouse while in Asheville to visit Biltmore Estate. It took twenty-five minutes to get to the Biltmore which is longer than we expected, but we enjoyed the view and the space for two couples. Mattresses could be better quality.

Mary, Im glad you enjoyed your stay and with the holiday traffic an additional 5 minutes to the usual 20 minute drive to the Biltmore Estate is expected. I do hope you had a great time there. As for the mattresses, it is impossible to accommodate everyone’s preferences, but as can be seen from previous guest reviews feedback as to the comfort has been positive. Sorry they weren’t up to your expectations.

Great getaway
Louedith made check-in super easy even though we were late from traffic. Beautiful property and mountain views, super well maintained. Our group of 4 was very happy here! Would definitely recommend these hosts if you're ever in the Asheville area!

Beautiful home nestled in a valley
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. It’s conveniently located about 15 min drive to Asheville and other great locations around. Overall a great choice for vacation.

Weekend Getaway
We visited this property with some very dear friends and we had a nice, quiet weekend. Our friend’s husband is in a wheelchair, so we needed a house with some special amenities. This place was perfect! Loved the peaceful area and the beautiful view!

Peaceful
This was the most comfortable stay we have had. The setting is peaceful and everything you need is there. Kitchen is the most well stocked I have seen in any place we have stayed. Enough room for 6 adults but we were outside most of the day. Plenty of room to walk, roam or one-wheel which my boys brought along. The big front and back porches were huge pluses. Loved staying here and the owner is super nice.

Enjoyable stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Our host was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. The house was spotless clean and well-organized. The furniture was very comfortable and appealing. The kitchen was well-stocked. The view from both the front porch and back deck were so nice to enjoy, as well as sitting by the fire pit. We also liked the short 15 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway for scenery and hiking. Don't hesitate to book this location, it is top quality.

Amazing place for getaway in mountains
The farmhouse was a wonderful homebase for our mountain vacation. We were very comfortable with our family of four (including two teenagers). The house had everything we needed to cook meals at home and we usually enjoyed them on the back deck. The views are beautiful! We were close to Asheville as well as nearby hikes, about an hour from Great Smokey Mountain Nat'l park. Louedith was very responsive to questions and accommodating, yet not intrusive. Would definitely return.

Girlfriends Getaway near Asheville
The Farmhouse was truly amazing in every way. From the panoramic views, to the cleanliness, and the amenities in the kitchen, it was very accommodating for our group. But addition to the Farmhouse, the "Barn" was such a relaxing place to hangout and enjoy good conversation with friends. If we had just one recommendation, it would be to replace the trundle in one of the bedrooms with another full size bed, 2 regular twin beds or a queen. Otherwise, we found it extremely comfortable and homelike. Thank you for sharing this beautiful location!

Great view!
The house was just as pictured, it had everything we needed and was clean and well taken care of. It was close to downtime Asheville and Waynesville so there were plenty of options for daytime activities and outside meals. The view was perfect and the shared amenities on the property were perfect to keep us all entertained day and night. We hope to come back soon!

Beautiful retreat!
I stayed with three friends for a girl's weekend and we loved it! The location is even more beautiful than it appears in pictures! The house is very comfortable and was spotless upon our arrival. We enjoyed sitting on the front and back porch so much, we didn't discover the adorable barn set-up until our last night. Don't make that mistake! Check out the barn ASAP! Our whole group agreed that if we came back to Asheville in the future, we would absolutely try to stay here again. One note, it isn't far(~20 minutes) from Asheville but is fairly remote, so if you're planning to go into downtown Asheville, know there will not be ridesharing services available. You will definitely need to drive.

This property was VERY clean and stocked with everything we needed. The views were awesome, esp. from the front porch. The barn was so unique and fun! Great yard in front of house for throwing frisbee. The property owner very responsive to ALL our requests. Would stay again!

Lovely peaceful stay
The house was very nice with beautiful seating and views both front porch and back porch. Also beautiful greens to laze on...we watched a meteor shower while we were there. Nice and clean with all the amenities. Kids were a bit disappointed with the missing hammock on the porch but we found it in the lovely barn.

Great Weekend Getaway
What a great experience we had staying at The Farmhouse! Louedith was a great host, welcomed us right away and made us feel right at home. The house and really entire property were kept very neat. We absolutely loved the barn that is set up as a place to hang out, play games and relax. We will definitely book this place for any future visits we make to the Candler/Asheville area!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
We travelled here with our two kids (3,6 yo). They loved the barn and all of the games, catching fireflies, playing horseshoes and having breakfast on the back porch. Everything was so cozy and peaceful. Perfect distance from Asheville as well as Mt Pisgah, not too close, not too far. Whenever we were away from the house, the kids always wanted to know when we were going back. We would definitely recommend the Farmhouse and hope to return one day!!!

Home is new, very clean, well equipped and cozy (although one male guest found the full-sized bed uncomfortable). Host was prompt in replying to questions. Overall, a great stay.

This is the first time the full-sized bed has been mentioned as uncomfortable, however based on your comment, I have purchased a memory foam mattress topper to ensure a good night’s rest for everyone who stays at the Farmhouse in the future.
