The owners greeted us by stating their house cleaner did not clean very well. The house was antebellum style but the heat was excessive. Small room air ccnditioners provided in the rooms were not sufficient to cool the room down. Our six year old daughter constanley had a red face and was sick to her stomach from the heat. This same six year old went down the stairs and went to the living room, the owners stated keep an eye on your child because they had previous incidents with their dog and children. The pool was unusable do to debris,bugs and green algae. The dust in the rooms was extremely excessive. For breakfast their was two eggs that appeared to be poached which we would not eat along with raw bacon that we were told we could put in the microwave. My family checked out a day early without saying anything to the owners since they were quite elderly and did not want to upset them. These practices are of concern not only for my family but also for future travelers. My family drove 40 minutes down to Tallahassee Florida and paid for a safer more suitable room.

Friendly hosts in beautiful home
We had such a lovely visit with our hosts. The kids were fascinated by everything in the house, from games to decor, to the studies on the beds. We had such a lovely chat with our hosts. It was a shame our visit was so short.

House was very nice. The decor was quite quaint. Esther & Jimmy are wonderful hosts and give you plenty of personal space. We had a huge bedroom as well as an adjoining dining room. All in all a great experience.

Pleasant, unique opportunity
There are a number of rooms. Mine was cozy, very clean. The only slight negative was that there was some traffic noise which I am especially sensitive to. If you are, then ask the hosts for a room at the back of the house. I had one night during travels and I am glad I made this choice. There are many amenities that would also serve a longer stay. The house and its furnishings have a beautiful, dignified air. Information about the original owner and the evolution of the house is very interesting and you will enjoy hearing from the hosts. The accommodations are private, separate from where the hosts reside. A beautiful table is set for breakfast and awaits whenever you are ready. The hosts are very likable and down to earth. They were helpful with a smart phone problem I was having.

Excellent Properly
The couple who own this Beautiful Home went out of their way to make me welcome for the 12 nights I stayed . Helping me with unusual requests. I needed to travel to visit a relation they helped me with this. I traveled half way around the world from Newcastle to Camilla to find that Esther was from the same area as me. Esther and Jimmy have a great knowledge of this area. I did go out for meals with them. What is amazing about the End O Day property is the calmness and tranquility. I found my large ground floor bedroom clean and welcoming, with a welcome pack of everything you could need. I was able to walk out on to my own patio and take in the Beauty of their Garden. There are many quiet places to sit in their garden and watch the wildlife. I would recommend this Historic Property. Esther told me of the many party's held at the property where people have booked to recreate the past wearing costumes. They cater for weddings. Baby showers, family Réunions. I was given a tour of the house and they have family rooms that cater for children. I would definitely recommend.

Unbearably hot!
Upon arrival we checked in around 5pm and the house was unbearably hot! While unpacking we began sweating and didn’t stop until about 11pm and could barely sleep. The thermostat is located on the host’s side of the house that you do not have access to change. They had it set at 82! There are window shaker units but they do not cool appropriately. We are from south Florida and are used to heat but this was awful. We were nervous to put the babies to sleep as extreme heat increases SIDS risks. Both babies were sweating just sitting in the room. The next day of our stay we had to go elsewhere to cool off and could not stay in the home as it was too hot. I will never book this location again. If there were other hotels close to us we would have gone somewhere else that first night but unfortunately we were stuck.

We are always extremely accommodating with our guests. If this guest had spoken to us at the time we would have done everything to correct the problem. But she never even mentioned the AC. There is an AC in every room that is totally accessible to our guests so that they can adjust them to any temperature thet desire. There is access to the downstairs AC in the entrance hall which can be accessed by our guests. There is also an AC next to the breakfast area. I feel insulted at this guests comments. We went out of our way to make their stay enjoyable & to accommodate their every need.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Home is full of history. It could use some renovations (i.e. shower head, electrical outlet properly installed). Home cleaners need to do a better job at vacumning/sweeping floors (several dead bugs/at least they were dead). Yard area needed to be mowed. Even still, we would go back if we were in the area.

Fabulous old home
Jim and Esther are amazing hosts and have done an amazing job restoring this old home. The colors and many of the furnishings are on point for the time of the home. You get the historical feel and modern conveniences at the same time. The breakfasts provided were wonderful. The pool was fun and relaxing. We enjoyed the bbq area but the brick work there was a little tricky in the dark. I'm sure when Jimmy's health is better he will get that kept up better. We felt like we were visiting with family by being with Esther and Jimmy. Can't wait to go back!

The house was so beautiful! And the history just adds to it. The couple that own it are such a sweet and friendly couple. Very welcoming and sat with my husband and myself for a few hours and just chatted with us. We were there for New Years and everything mostly closed so they went out of their way to order BBQ for the evening meal. We will definitely be back for another longer stay! Would totally recommend staying here. The price is perfect because most places around there are very pricey. So stay here and no where else! You won’t regret it I promise ❤️

Beautifully restored historic home
Jimmy and Ester’s home is beautiful! You’ll be in awe the moment you turn into the drive. You’ll see it’s majesty, the surrounding trees, and the welcoming smiles. When we arrived they both gave us a tour of the home and some of the history. This was the highlight. There was so much to explore in this home. The beds were comfy, there were toiletries in case we forgot ours, soft linens, and clean spaces throughout. Lots of added touches like a small table with a Keurig upstairs so you don’t have to go downstairs to the dining area. They always had tea, coffee and cocoa pods there and at the downstairs station. There were snacks, a mini fridge, and morning breakfast. There’s so much more I could say, but I’ll leave those comments for my review after my next visit. I’d like to stay in the summer in order to enjoy the pool.

Historical Adventure in the South!!
This was an awesome experience… the owners, Jimmy & Ester were so pleasant to work with. The home is full of history that gives you an awesome feel. The bedroom/bath amenities were very acceptable for a home that was 168 years old.. the southern charm of the property was amazing. The breakfast was set up with great taste and it was also a pleasant experience… served with beautiful style…, we enjoyed staying and will stay again whenever we need to return to visit our family in Grady County.

Stop looking and go ahead and book here. This was by far the best place we’ve stayed at. We travel a lot because our son plays college football. My Stay at the End "O" Day Manor House, Camilla, GA VRBO Property #2155008
This was a great choice for us to spend the night in a true post-bellum (after the War Between the States) manor house that has been upgraded and preserved so well. 62-65 years ago, working with my electrician father, I used to do minor electrical work, under supervision, at this mansion. It was owned by Judge Gardner and his wife, Callie Gardner, CPA. Ms. Callie used to allow me to pasture my horse in the large orchard that used to be behind the home. No charge. For someone looking to stay in a true post-bellum mansion that has been maintained and restored this is it. A great breakfast was made. It also has a nice outdoor pool for enjoyment in the summer. The home is air conditioned for comfort. The owners and on-site managers are Jimmy and Esther Jones who are delightful and welcoming. Jimmy and I especially had a lot of knowledge and stories to share.

A massive welcome
When jimmy and Esther say they want you to ‘feel at home’ they really mean it. You’ll be very hard placed to find more of a welcome. We only stayed one night on our mad dash west to east through Georgia but we’re made to feel like we’d been friends for life. Camilla itself is exactly what you’d expect from rural southern Georgia and a real eye opener for myself and my uk family. Definitely stay if you are in the area and want to be enlightened.

Forever Friends
I arrived on site, to the most beautiful bed and breakfast resort like living, with a warm greeting by Mr. Jimmy. As I walked in, I was greeted by Mrs. Esther. Mr. Jimmy was going out for chicken, and since I hadn't eaten, after being on the road for nearly six hours, chicken was bought for me, as well. My room was so beautiful! It was like I had my own part of the house. The entire house was just gorgeous, as I was given the grand tour. It's a resort, as I call it, that is set up to include families with or without children. I came alone, therefore, I felt special because I had Jimmy and Esther's full attention during my two day stay. It was like I had known them my entire life. Give their place a try. You won't be sorry. In fact, you will walk away with new friends. Thank you all again for taking great care of me. I already miss our talks. Best Bed and Breakfast
We arrived and were pleasantly greeted by Mrs. Esther and Mr. Jimmy. They were the best host. The pictures do not do the place justice. It was a place you can relax, learn, and enjoy. The beds were the best because we slept like never before. I wished I stayed longer than 1 night. It is an experience I recommend to anyone. Lots of surprise experiences and if history is your thing this is definitely the place. Also, you know it's a great place when your teenagers are sad to leave and request to return.

Wonderful Hosts!
First I would like to say that the hosts of this place are amazing. They really are the nicest people I have met. They are very kind and accommodating. They will help you in any way they can. The property is very old and beautiful. Here are my family's thoughts- The bedroom doors didn't lock and one of them didn't latch closed at all. It was very nice to have our own air conditioning units in each room so we could keep each room at the desired temperature we liked. They also had ceiling fans in each room which helped with circulation. I would say that it is not very handicapped-friendly because 3 out of the 4 bedrooms are up a few flights of stairs and the entrance doors have stairs as well. I am a plus-size woman and I would have not fit in one of the bathrooms upstairs very well. The pool outside is saltwater and fenced in and we did go swimming a few times. The pool wasn't very clean but overall we enjoyed the water. We did bring our own pool toys. The only bathrooms you have access to are in your room. The 3 rooms upstairs are where we stayed for our visit. The one side had a queen bed and 3 twin beds with a bathroom and shower (I did fit in this bathroom) and the other side had a queen bed with a bathroom and shower, a toy room, and a TV room. We couldn't figure out the TV and to be honest, we didn't ask for help with that and the WIFI didn't work for us upstairs. It is a really big house so I am sure it was just the location of the room. The morning breakfast was basically continental- coffee, cereal, juice, milk, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, storebought croissants, microwave bacon, ham/cheese, mini donuts, honey buns, and grits casserole. Take that as you will- there is a McDonalds not too far away. I definitely think people looking for the old colonial vibe for vacation would really enjoy this home and the area since we were looking for more things to do and places to eat so we ended up in Albany every day which was only 30 min away. Overall the stay was nice and we had a good time but for us, we would choose to stay in a bigger city with more options but we are glad we tried something new and it was worth the trip to meet such nice people.

Absolutely wonderful! Jimmy and Esther are so kind and hospitable. They really made us feel so welcomed. They were so attentive to our needs and had extra special details for the kids. It's an impressive home on a large property. It's worth staying, even if you have to drive to your destinations. The breakfast was also delicious and satisfying. Great travel break
Owners gave a complete tour when we arrived of their beautiful home filled with antiques that they've collected during their travels. Rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. House and history of the home were fascinating. Spent several hours talking with the owners about the area, house, their past travels and ours, the pieces they've collected and used to furnish the house. They gave us much needed information and advice since we are thinking of possibly retiring to Georgia in the future. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Exceptional Stay
Our family was in town for our Nieces wedding at Gin Creek Vinyard and Jimmy and Esters Place was the perfect resting spot for us to stay at. They had plenty of rooms to accommodate the 7 of us snd treated us like family. It was wonderful to hear all of the stories they shared about the home and the surrounding area. One day we all hung out poolside and as the evening cooled off, Ester lit a fire at the bbq pit area so we could extend our time outside and enjoy the beautiful full moon. She’s a bit of a pyromaniac- lol. Jimmy puts out a wonderful breakfast every morning with something for everyone. Our experience was so wonderful we might plan to go back in the summertime. Thanks again Jimmy and Ester!

End O Day Manor Was Above Expectations
Even before we arrived it was a good experience. Jimmy called me a few min before check in to let me know our room was ready and we appreciated that because the GPS had us getting there a little early. Once we arrived the property had plenty of shaded parking. Esther greeted me at the door and was very welcoming. Their dogs are also friendly, though you barely knew they were around. Jimmy and Esther were very hospitable from the start by asking if we needed help with luggage. Jimmy gave a great tour of the property that my wife and I enjoyed, being interested in history. Our room was lovely and very spacious. Bathroom was clean and the TV was a nice surprise. If you are traveling with a dog this is a nice place to stay because the grounds give plenty of room for them to do their business. Our room slept well and the personal thermostat in the room was a bonus we didn't expect. The breakfast was outstanding and we were delighted to notice the details like French butter for the toast. Our favorite part of our stay was our long morning conversation with our two new friends! Jimmy and Esther were the best hosts and we will come back again and bring others!
