Ok, men..
Næsten ingen ansatte kunne 1 ord engelsk. Airconditionen lugtede af gammel ost, så den kunne ikke bruges. Der var meget lydt, og personalet mødte kl. 05.45, og så vågnede hele hotellet. Super flot beliggenhed, og 2-3 super søde og servicemindet medarbejdere.

Ønsker bedere service af personalet.
Flot hotel god beliggenhed med ca 5 minutter til en fantatisk strand. Hvis personalet også ville servicer, og maden bliver meget bedere, så er det et hotel, som klart vil være anbefalding.

This property has now elevator !!! The lobby is nice, but you to carry your luggage to your room downstairs to your room..... and then, use the stairs every time you want to do something..... not a hotel i would select in the future.

We loved our stay, the staff was extremely helpful and the view from our room was extraordinary. I strongly suggest getting a swim up room that's what we did, which made accessing things convenient. Customer service was top notch couldn't ask for a nicer staff. The cleaning crew was fantastic are room was left spotless every day. We really enjoyed the food. If you are not in good shape it's a long hike down to the tiny beach would suggest it for families with small children or elderly people to walk. The shower wasn't always hot but the good far out ways the bad for this place. The price was fantastic and we enjoyed the spectacular view

ROACH INFESTED! DO NOT STAY HERE! Norwin the guy who checked us in proceeded to pick up the biggest roach I’ve ever seen in my life with his bare hand from our bathroom and threw it into the hall way where another dead roach laid. Toilets had a ring around them like they hadnt been used in months and dust all over the towels and bathroom showing no one had been in this room for a while. Moved us from the 3rd floor room to a 4th floor room and saw another roach! Norwin said the roaches are normal there in Costa Rica, that they would be in every room! Hotel had no one at the pool, bar, casino or restaurant and only two cars in the parking lot. It was like a ghost town. They also didn’t check us in with ID or credit card and everyone left at 9 all lights off in restaurant, bar, main, lobby so when we decided we weren’t comfortable staying there after an hour and a half of being there just scared we were going to see more roaches we left and couldn’t get ahold of anyone to let them know. We had to leave to another hotel after a long day of traveling to get away from this dirty place! The new hotel had no roaches or any other bugs the entire time we were there! So no, roaches are not normal in hotels in Costa Rica! Now in the process of trying to get our money back as the general manager told Expedia no refunds! I understand if it was a customer just canceling to cancel and not getting a refund but not on account of a roach infested hotel/dirty rooms! Again DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Really enjoyed our stay, property was beautiful, pool was clean and enjoyed walking around the property. Dining area had beautiful view of the ocean and great food. Bit of a walk into town and to the beach but otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

We stumbled across this gem after being canceled the night before our flight at another resort (CONDOVAC LA COSTA). we were panicked with very little time in such short notice. Dunama was amazing. Easy to book and what a pleasant surprise when we arrived. Extremely convenient location with excellent views around the whole resort. Plenty of lounging areas. The beach was down below a couple flight of stairs. With great snorkeling and black sand beach. I recommend water shoes if you want to explore the area around. It is also around the best beach we thought with a fantastic sunset. 3 minutes away, Flamingo beach. You can also rent cabanas and chairs on thus beach for $30. We had the swin up room and I loved it! This resort exceeded our expectations. We are well traveled and this resort helped our experience and vacation to Costa Rica be a fantastic trip. Great shops, pharmacy, medical care and restaurants in the area. Brit cafe, Angelina's, rest monkey jungle, coco loco and hazels near the marina were a few of our favorites. The new owners have improved this place a ton and i only see it getting better. The food was just ok. Driving is a bit chaotic with narrow roads and steep hills. If you dont have a car you can rent a golf cart near by. For $59 a day. I encourage to do this in advance as the reservations fill up. Happy vacay planning :)

Beautiful property - the best view in all of Flamingo / surrounding areas. Most wonderful staff - super safe with security at night 24/7, delicious breakfast offered with gorgeous surroundings. Can't wait to go back!

Staff here cannot speak English, the place is not good for elderly due to the steps, place is dirty, sheets were dirty needed to request more toilet paper. Stay somewhere else.

Everything I needed to enjoy my solo vacation..
The property is very well kept. From the moment I checked in and left 6 days later, I can say it was very enjoyable. I stayed in the the swim out room, 505. I'm glad I chose that room because it was in the middle of the 7 or 8 swim outs they have. I'm glad I spent a little more because if you stay in the rooms on the lower level, you don't have much of a view until you come up to the main level. The weather was perfect in February with a nice breeze off the ocean. I don't remember everyone's name but Alexis & Roy are the names I remember the most. They were very nice and always came around to make sure I was good. It was a little breezy when I got my massage under the straw hut but it felt great! It made it even more relaxing. They do daily room cleaning, but I didn't want them to clean my room because once I spray the room and beds with Lysol, I don't want to do it again. LOL. I walked/jogged a few days. You have to be careful when you leave out. Once you turn left at the top of the hill, it's very steep going down for about 150 yards, At the bottom of the road if you make a right, you'll run into Margaritaville hotel and restaurant & it's 5 o'clock somewhere restaurant where you can eat, drink and get a good view of the sunset. You'll have access to the beach there and also Vendors selling souvenirs. The Marina del Playa is about 1/2 mile away. You can do a day or night cruise. Hotel is about 1hr 15 mins from airport. $100 for taxi one way. There are other cheaper options.

Bel hôtel bien situé, plage semi privée accessible avec beaucoup d’escaliers mais wow !!!! Site agréable, musique un peu forte à la piscine, même tot. Seulement 3 options de déjeuner inclus mais des options de restaurant à proximité juste wow ! Le Luna, essayez ça pour un bon café! Et coco Loco pour dîner ou souper! Tout est à proximité et le personnel est gentil quoique parle peu anglais, surtout espagnol. Merci pour le séjour !

Una experiencia para no volver!
Un lugar descuidado y con poco mantenimiento. Personal con disposición pero poco entrenado. No tienen un estándar qué seguir, así que improvisan y cometen errores. Nos recibió una habitación llena de zancudos, lo cual es indicador de q no fumigan. El llavín de la puerta que daba al jardín estaba dañado y no cerraba, así q me trajeron un tubo para atravesarlo para q no se abriera, esa fue la solución. Pregunté a recepción si había servicio a la habitación y me dijeron q si. Luego de casi una hora me llamaron para decirme que los disculpara pero q habían consultado y el servicio había sido suspendido, que mi cena estaba lista pero q tenía que ir por ella. Me enojé y les dije q yo había hecho la consulta y me dijeron q si, así q no entendía. Me dijo ser nuevo y q al consultar le dijeron q no había servicio a la habitación. Pero q por esta vez el me iba a llevar la comida hasta mi cuarto pero q supiera q ya no podía ordenar más. Así que mi experiencia en este hotel no fue buena. La relación precio vs servicio no merece una buena recomendación.

Mala experiencia. Hotel estaba sucio y mal cuidado. Piscina estaba sucia. El desayuno estaba ok, pero huevo siempre sin sal. Le echan agua para "rendir" el jugo de Naranja y queda horrible. No se puede ni tomar. El cafe todas las veces vino sucio y con basurilla. Tampoco se podia tomar. Una decepsion la falta de cuidado del hotel y la falta de calidad del servicio prestado. Jamas volveria a ir.

The place was nice clean the staff was very friendly if you make the stairs down the hill to the beach you will love the beach is really private not one is there really clean but you will have to go up the stairs and that is a work out

Rooms were a bed and a table. Not as pictured. Breakfast is beans and rice and scrambled eggs. Everyday… 10 days. Frustrating when they forget toilet paper, or to put garbage bags in baskets… the construction on site … bang bang. We didn’t have a working TV , when we said something she just left us. We got it last day… we would not recommend or return. Walls in the rooms were bare it was walking into a cell. They let anyone in on a day pass so outside our room was a public pool with kids everywhere. Now the pool guy was super nice, the guard Juan was also incredible. We met the musician bar tender and her was super. He fixed our TV for us. So food- skip it Rooms - bare not even headboards. Some staff - incredible Other staff - frustrating and need some guest training. When we did get a drink from the bar the glass was chipped and cracked! We threw it out.

Dunama Hotel & Casino is a pretty basic/average hotel. There are no bells and whistles about this place, despite its location and beautiful view of the ocean. Despite its amount of rooms, it cannot hold all its guests in the breakfast area which means guests need to sprawl out to the bar area. The pool is very small and only supplies maybe 10 beach chairs for all guests, meaning some days we. The Casino is also very mediocre and small. The photos on their website make this place seem a lot different than it is in person. Our room, despite having a limited view of the ocean, was very dark. It led out to some kind of veranda, which connected to all the other rooms on our floor. While all other room types had outdoor furniture, ours did not.

This hotel was a great location, I asked for a swim up pool and didn't get that and they said the hotel was full but spoke to other guest that were able to move rooms. the rooms smelled like really bad paint. The room had no dressers and under the bed was very dirty. When I proceeded to ask the staff about changing rooms they laughed and told me that is the only room available. Overall I would not recommend this hotel

Staff need training
The staff seems to me not well trained. At 12PM I asked the bar for a Piña Colada and they told me that they don’t have material to make that drink and that they didn’t know when the kitchen would have prepared the ingredients. The restaurant was supposed to close at 10 pm but at 8.30pm the kitchen was already closed.
