The best service in the world
The owner is a VERY kind and extremely helpful and thoughtful person. His wife is also really kind and clearly wants the best for their guests. I recommend this place to everyone. The only (somewhat) negative thing about this place is the breakfast, but all the other aspects definitely counterbalance the breakfast.

An authentic and historic house with wonderfully renovated interior. Very friendly and interesting staff who know every detail of the house's story. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. It really felt like we were experiencing the real Bruges.

The hotel reminds me of an old villa with antiques and history in every nook and cranny. Our room was like something out of a palace, and the owner was a lovely, old gentleman.

Just a block from a main shopping and dining area, this was a perfectly located and quite lovely place to stay. Super comfortable bed, excellent water pressure/ bath. The only funny thing is due to family health crisis while we were there the lobby sometimes had to be closed. The breakfast included was the best hotel breakfast ever! Definitely a place we’d go back to.

Very nice hotel, located a walking distance of the center. Property is well maintained and the area is quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great, a lot of variety of bread, fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts, coffee and juice.

This property is right in the heart of all the attractions. Lots of restaurants and stores. The hotel has lovely character with beautiful antiques throughout the family-owned property. The owner is kind, gracious, and helpful, making our stay special. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We are very pleased with our stay at Hotel Lucca.

The photos online did not do the property justice. This is a hotel made from a building from antiquity and is a treat to see. The dining area is magnificent with brick walls and arching ceilings. Our room was decorated with proper antique furnishings (though with the necessary modern amenities) and overlooked a quiet courtyard. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The hotel is about a block from the city’s center and, thus, an easy walk to most anything of interest. Restaurant options abound as do shopping opportunities. Despite that, our room was incredibly peaceful. The common areas in the hotel are well-furnished and full of curiosities to see. I highly recommend the Hotel Lucca and would stay there again should my travels take me back to Ghent.

Hans and his wife are lovely owners of this hotel. It is old but eclectic. You can feel the history while in the building. our room was huge and perfect for 3 adult size people. It had 2 singles and a fullsize bed. The breakfast is lovely included in the fee. We felt safe and it is centrally located.

The hotel was fabulous. The service was top rate, from being able to check our bags early and then having them delivered to our room, to the helpful guidance about Bruges (and his great sense of humor) from our host, to the amazing breakfast included with our room. We could not be happier.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is just 3 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop and 5 minutes walk from the markt square. Really convenient. You are greeted by one of the best hosts ever. The room and the hotel has a lot of character. The breakfast room and the reception takes you back centuries. Would strongly recommend. Ear plugs are provided if you don’t like the noise from outside.

Lovely 14th century hotel and host. The room was quaint but spacious. Breakfast was served in a vault-like stone cellar. Very good and very charming. Owner- manager was helpful, delightful, and welcoming. Recommend this hotel when going to Bruges.

Hans was very friendly and helpful. He helped us book a good restaurant for dinner. The breakfast had plenty of delicious and healthy choices. The room was clean and generally quiet. Slippers and kettle in the room for tea were pluses. The only drawback in the bathroom was that there wasn’t any racks for hanging towels.

Great place to stay, 10 minute walk to central Brugge. Generous breakfast run by kind and helpful hosts. Just the odd touch needed in the room we stayed in, no towel bars for one. Stairs to first floor daunting if have a large suitcase but assistance will be provided if needed.

The best place I've stayed at in bruges
Beautiful hotel run by one man and his team. Hans owns the place and he loves what he does. Its in a beautiful location. The hotel itself is also beautiful once you're on the inside. I've been to bruges many times but never felt so at home in a hotel.
