Cozy Cabin!
We loved our two day stay at Aftermath! We had some serious wind both days, but it didn’t deter us from enjoying our time there. We still got in the hot tub and watched the sunset! The cabin is really cozy in the evening with the fireplace going, and cooking up our meals in the open kitchen. It was the perfect retreat for us! We shall return!

Perfect!
Everything about Aftermath is wonderful. The view is stunning, it's so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We took walks but mostly we didnt want to leave. The three of us had a great time here. Hot tub is a bonus!

The Best house on the coast
Love love love this place. We stopped coming to this house for a few years, my high school friends and I, we tried Tomales, other homes in the Bodega area but nothing compares to this one. The remodel is so nice. We will not be renting any other house from now on!

Long overdue
We have stayed at this property for more than 30 years. More recently it is always booked, I saw an opening and snagged it. Stunning location overlooking the ocean. Nicely updated interior. Spa is well maintained, also overlooking the ocean. Court yard in front provides privacy from the street. Owner was helpful with weather related issues. I look forward to our next stay

We had the best of times. Such a lovely home. We enjoyed reading the history of the place. Perfect for two couples. Beds comfortable. Living furniture very comfortable also. We had to flip a coin for the two chairs facing the ocean. Lol. The men enjoyed the hot tub. We found only one negative. Ants! We learned quick. Never left anything out. The House is excellent. I would give 10 points not 5. We will definitely return. Thanks for sharing.

Great location
Perfect location, cozy house, beautiful view. This was our second time at Aftermath and we stayed for four nights. Both of our stays were in December and both times we experienced rain as well as sunshine. This time we got one and a half good days of sunshine and the rest of the time it rained. We still took walks on the beach, and drove into town a couple of times. The location is perfect; close enough to town to get necessities, but far enough away for seclusion. The house is well set up for weather fluctuations; screens on the doors, good heaters, and a nice gas fireplace. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the east side of the house mean you always have a beautiful view of the ocean, no matter the weather. The cozy two-room house was a good size for my husband and I to share with my mother, but it might be a bit tight for two couples. Aftermath is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, which our two medium sized dogs loved. Returning from the beach we were surprised to discover ticks on our dogs and on ourselves. Seemed late in the season for them. From then on we kept a sharp lookout and didn't allow any ticks to hitchhike a ride. Slight urine smell from previous pets in one of the bedrooms, but that's not unusual in a pet friendly property. I always bring room spray and a scented candle to rental properties just in case, and so all was well.

We had a wonderful 7th stay! Super comfy beds, amazing views and beautiful courtyard. Our favorite dog friendly home! Well maintained and wonderful neighborhood. I love and appreciate how guests and owners work together to keep it fantastic for well behaved dogs and humans alike!

Best Property in Bodega Bay
We’ve been coming here since 2009 and it is hands down, one of the best properties in Bodega Bay. The amenities, the views, the access to the beach and its location are second to none. We’ve been coming to Bodega Bay for years and this is, by far, our favorite place to stay.

Serene Ocean Getaway
I absolutely love Aftermath. The layout is perfect with two en suite bathrooms on either end of the house with the most fantastic great room in the middle. It doesn’t matter what the weather is outside because the view from the wall to ceiling windows overlooks the gorgeous Pacific ocean. It’s Comfortable and cozy. Beds, bathrooms and kitchen are all superb.Will make every effort to get back there sooner than I did this time! Can’t let 10 years go by!

A Place of Enchantment
Beautiful, sunny, absolutely calm the first 2 days. Perfect for exploring the area and beach. On and off fog the 3rd day, perfect for snugggling in the house to watch the fishing boats and surf. Always peaceful and restorative!

A treasure!
Aftermath is a treasure - the view, the gardens, the indoor space. We feel spoiled getting to be here. We did have two concerns when we arrived. The outside east doors on both bedrooms were not latched - a problem we could solve by slamming both doors. We did not use the hot tub, but the jets seem to have been running the whole time we have been here and the dial in the kitchen is stuck.

Amazing views-adorable house
The ONLY reason to give 4 stars instead of five- we knew there was no air conditioning, but there were no fans anywhere Therefore, no air movement. Had living room windows opened facing the water, it would have definitely helped. It was incredibly hot during afternoon hours. It did cool off by bedtime. I didn’t notice no washer or dryer-my fault. Other than that it was a lovely updated home with everything else we needed. Views were spectacular!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay overall. I'm sorry it was too warm in the living room for you. Very few homes on the Sonoma Coast have air conditioning or fans. The cool breeze makes it unnecessary. And summer is known for being foggy and cool. The very reason my grandparents bought the cabin!

Aftermath is an amazing jewel! The family history is precious. We felt as though we were sharing a very privileged experience. Candidly, I was so sad to see the garden has not been cared for and the house keeping was less than par. Truly hope these issues are resolved.

Another Magical Stay at Aftermath
Our 3rd year in Bodega Bay staying at the Aftermath House. The views, beach access, comfort and serenity keep bringing us back. This year we took an amazing family friendly hike through the forest, at the Watershed View Trail, not far from the house. It was beautiful! We love it here, see you next year!

Beautiful view overlooking Wright's Beach
Property was well kept up and view was spectacular. Mattress was a bit firm for me but not bad. Lots of beaches nearby and easy access to the town of Bodega Bay. Would love to rent again and bring older kids.

Peaceful and beautiful spot!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week here celebrating our anniversary. The courtyard and coast views are gorgeous. Cooking at home was great with the cookware at the house and even a martini glass for a cocktail. Quiet neighborhood and great walk to the beach. We've already booked another stay and will be bringing my wife's parents along.

Reset!
This was our second time staying at this property. It is the perfect place to unplug and reset. We took long walks on the beach with our lab, picnicked on the sand, and watched perfect sunsets from the hot tub. I love this place and plan on making it an annual trip.
